Greetings lads! I am looking for a mathematician to assist me with geometry. What exactly is it that distinguishes those who are able to gain white collar work to those who are unable to, and are forced to be engaged in blue collar work instead?

I find myself studying the goldfish in my pool , and seeing how I stack up in the hirarcy of living things . In my immediate hirarcy , I am clearly ' Up Here ' and they are quite content to be ' down there' I feed them , battle off the foes like frogs . Feed them , count them , clean their water, plant water plants, reeds . We have a good relation. What I wonder is what if I think about the other way ? What is next above me , looking down ? Mike

I recently saw an ad on TV for a company which provided free credit scores for potential home buyers or anyone else who might be planning to take out a loan. One of the key things they wanted to emphasise was that "getting your credit score will not affect your credit score". Is this not a blatant violation of Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle?

Someone who, in an electronic version of a magazine, puts links in. Like if the science forums are mentioned in an article, they'll put in a link into the actual phrase "science forum". That's all the person does. Is there some title or something that approximates that job that would be fitting as a way of crediting the person?

I have a vegetable garden and greenhouse. In the vegetable garden I will plant/sow salad, courgette, pumpkin, rhubarb, corn, sunflower and herbs. In my greenhouse I will plant tomatoes, peppers, a cucumber and salad. I've sown my tomatoes and one pepper inside at 15 march, they are now a couple cm tall. I fertilize with vinasse, fish emulsion and dry cow manure. I've added horse dung and compost the last years. Especially self grown tomatoes are a lot better then the ones you can buy in a store. Are there more gardeners on this forum? What do you grow?

Are there people that grow avocado trees? With harvest? Here in Belgium it's to cold in the winter but I'm emerging some seeds and I'm going to grow them outside in summer and inside in winter. I'm using the toothpick method.

So I'm a research scientist for a small diagnostic company. Been working for the last 2.5 years. When I first started, I wasn't crazy about it(reasons listed below), but I waited till I moved up in my lab, hoping I'd have a new experience. Turns out, no.
