Speculations Forum Rules

The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:

  1. Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
  2. Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
  3. Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.

The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

  1. So with the advent of coronavirus comes new insights into existing conditions which to date have yet to be fully explained. Indeed, some conditions like chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia are often met with ridicule by GPs the country over, with friends and associates left wondering if there is really anything wrong with suffers of these conditions at all. What is lesser known, however, is that scientific tests have shown that people suffering from these conditions have very real and physical differences in their bodies compared to that of a healthy individual. Briefly, these changes include mitochondrial damage, small fiber neuropathy, and elevated homocysteine levels.…

Warp drive is possible by folding space all around the ship using extremely strong magnetic fields. It requires a ship larger than a city. Warp drive is basic folding, however if you tesselate the warp field, and then cone out and spin the tessellation you can go from one end of the universe to the other instantly. When travelling through warp you cannot smack into anything (it protects the speed of light because the smack would be faster than that). If you hit the edge of the universe you just bounce off. The ships have to be a critical size (very massive bigger than a city) in order to establish a proper warp bubble with their drives. check out my …

Before the Big Bang, there is what can be described mathematically as a single point of infinite energy. To reach this "point" would require a journey back through infinite space and time. No relativistic observer could ever make this journey. No matter how far you travel, you will remain infinitely far away, encountering higher and higher energy physics as you go. This "point" of infinite energy (+∞) is the source of all things. At the opposite end of the spectrum, is an infinite expanse void of energy (the vacuum). To reach this place, would require a journey forward through infinite space and time. No relativistic observer could ever make this journey. No matter how fa…

A meter, a kilogram, or a second are all units made up by our ancestors that from my perspective we now take for granted. Each can be further subdivided (centimeters (1/100), millimeters (1/1000), nanometers (1/ 1 billion) ... 1/∞; gram (1/1) , milligram (1/1000), nanogram (1/1 billion)... 1/∞ or accumulated (meter (1*1), kilometer (1*1000)... 1*∞). No matter what unit you come up with, you can describe anything relevant to the type of unit (space, time, or both) but never accurately. The Singularity is at the heart of every unit. In order to describe the Singularity (fundamental reality) you need infinite precision. So the nature of language and mathematics points to an …

  9. Ok, well a question for all those here that are well versed in physics, and believe they are absolutes. In July this year, we had the Pentagon it self admit to the existence of UAP's (UFO's). These UAP's have mass, as they show up on all forms of radar. They also have no visible means of propulsion. Along with that, they perform maneuvers that the current known laws of physics do not allow for. Perhaps those here well versed in the laws of physics can explain all this ?. Quote: He views the UAP/UFO phenomena as a scientifically interesting problem, driven in part by observations that seem to defy the laws of physics. https://www.space.com/unidentified-aerial-phenome…

  10. Rather than defining positions on the diagram as events, define the diagram as representing actual reality in the following manner and then locate the event in the resulting dynamic model. The hyperplane going through the origin is the present of all space, three dimensional space depicted in two dimensions, . This hyperplane falls through the dynamic model at 1 sec per second along the z axis. All past events for the observer at the origin existed above the plane but are visible as photons coming in from all directions, shown on the diagram as the upper light cone. The lower light cone represents photons or signals going out, at light speed from the observer. T…

  11. Hello all. Ok, well as this is my first post, i will start with my name, which is Brad. As always, I know there will be very strong opposition to any such device that seems to break the laws of physics. But no laws are being broken here, as there is an equal and opposite reaction to the action. The conservation of momentum also still applies--so on we go. I will confirm that this is not a theoretical experiment. This is an actual working device. Anyway, over the past 6 years, I have been developing a reactionless drive. The name !reactionless drive! would assume that there is no reaction to the action, and we all know that that would not produce any thrust …

The field is accompanied by a fundamental particle known as the Higgs boson, which is used by the field to continuously interact with other particles, such as the electron.'' 13. This new concept of quantum gravity that DARPA is currently interested in is based upon a novel method of magnetic confinement I developed that curves charged particles about a singularity in a way that allows for charged particles to relatively accelerate and interact from geodesic deviation. The subtle Relative Accelerated Energy (RAE) generated from deviating charged particles interacting is able to be focused and exponentially increased for possible experimental observation. I initially developed this novel quantum theory of gravity a few years ago while I was writing the patent for a magnetic confinement device for fusion that generates a negative well potential s…

SO A FEW YEARS AGO NASA DISCOVERED THERE IS A HUMONGUOUS 10 MILLION-DEGREE HALO OF GAS ENVELOPING THE MILKY WAY: https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/chandra/multimedia/hot_gas_halo.html If you look at the illustration, it looks exactly like the hypothetical dark matter halo. Except this one is real. They even say that 'it might be a solution to the missing baryon problem'. Well done Nasa. You finally confirmed Frank Zwicky's gas theory.(that was his vision of 'dark matter', not the current view which is plain sci-fi) And you also disproved Einsteins relativity theory. So long 'gravitational lensing'. Its now clear that it is this supe…

Contemplation of the Universe, how it is structured or how it was formed, has to be among the very top of those things on the mind of humankind throughout the whole of history. What is this Earth we stand on? What exactly is the Sun that we see, that gives us light? How far does the Universe go, and what happens after that? Is the Earth Flat or Round? Millions, and possibly billions, of hours have been spent in quiet contemplation of these Questions of the Universe. But can we know if the Earth is flat? Can this relatively straightforward question be resolved? The answers might surprise you. Using definitions and theorems found at my own website, we can answer n…

  16. Can you give us some examples where interactions between light and matter can't be explained as a wave. The photoelectric effect has been discussed and the discrete nature of photon termination can also be explained as a wave without recourse to the simplistic analogy of particle impact. I don't find either of these as convincing evidence for the particle nature of light or am I missing something?

I assume that all electromagnetic waves travel through time in any direction with different powers. They also target existing electromagnetic waves at a specific point in time. Thus, it is possible to register a certain sequence of waves after their release. To carry out the experiment, you need to put the transmitter and receiver in one place and cover the transmitter with a solid piece of metal. The metal will absorb all waves, but the receiver will register those waves that have passed through time.

  19. If I might be so bold as to take a stab at one of the most controversial definitions in philosophy and science, I would define consciousness as a causal chain from perception, to instinct, to conceptualization. This causal chain is reflected in our evolution across time as a species, as well as our day-to-day actions. Single celled organisms perceive light, complex organisms develop feelings in accordance with higher level perceptions, and eventually conceptualization acts as a modifier on perception-based instinct. I.e., I see a tiger (by the time light bounces off the tiger into my eyes, I am seeing an image of the tiger a fraction of a second in the past). A fraction o…

I have recently been reading Michio Kaku's new book, The God Equation, and a couple of things stood out to me that raised significant questions. "But if we blindly accept Einstein's theory, then we get into trouble, since his equations predict that the gravitational force at the very center of a black hole or the beginning of time is infinite, which makes no sense." Why is it that this "makes no sense"? Why is it that this assertion is frequently purported to be unassailable without any accountability to basic logic? In a section entitled "Why is the Night Sky Black?" Kaku writes: "If we start with a universe that is infinite and uniform, then everywhe…

But there is a problem — many of these black holes are unexpectedly large. Now, a team of researchers from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, the University of Chicago, and the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, have proposed a novel solution to this problem: black holes grow along with the expansio…

There is only one Truth: The Universe is infinite. Everything else is speculation relative to observation. What are the odds that a measurement made to the nearest inch will be exactly 1 inch when measured to the nearest quintillionth of a quadrillionth of an inch? Negligible, in terms of the scientific burden of proof. As this methodology can be applied endlessly to any system of measurement regardless of the context, I have conclusively and scientifically proven that every single thread in this forum belongs to the category "Speculation". #math

  24. I got shut down with the two nows idea because SwansonT thought I was going against mainstream science. I am absolutely not going against the results of the experiments. GPS works. What I am suggesting is that you can arrive at thre same equations without distorting space and time. Most clocks these days, like the heated Cesium ones work on the basis of a certain frequency of light being given off by a certain drop of an electron in the Cesium atom to a lower energy level. This particular frequency is always 9,192,631,770Hz. Now suppose you are traveling fast toward this light. It will be blue shifted. The space the waves exist in will appear to be shortened.…

That is, it should be clarified in which areas these studies related to pendulum disturbances have been performed when disturbances have occurred and in which areas when they have not occurred. One of the mysteries of physics, then, is why the precise pendulums become confused during the eclipse of the Sun. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allais_effect It goes without saying that the conditions in the experiments have certainly not been similar on a small scale due to the very angle at which particles / densities from the center of the Earth have encoun…
