Speculations

Pseudoscientific or speculatory threads belong here.

Speculations Forum Rules

The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:

  1. Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
  2. Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
  3. Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.

The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

  1. Hello! Because I'm not how to take pictures, I put this link: which the moderators removed per Rule 2.7 I hope to get feedback.

  2. Is this type of brain a fascination? Is this a rarity? I feel I need to bring attention to this. I came into this over two years knowing nothing about the brain. I am the only one that has ever had access to this childlike state. And his powers over the brain phenomenal! There was input over 40 years, from his outside world altered state. Blocked were memories of childhood trauma. From my understanding when in childlike state, experienced flashbacks of this trauma. Over two years he had enlisted me through my subconscious, I was unaware of it at the time, to bring him information on the brain. He was intent on resolving the flashbacks. He was suffering over 40 years wi…

Hello. Here is a topic which is not one of the simplest. Here is the proposal for a new metric which has the principle of being able to take into account cosmic inflation in relation to the expansion of the universe. Indeed its mechanism is that of the interpretation and for a gravitational singularity of a single-particle entropic convergence. IOW what is defined as a singularity with infinite value would then only be an interpretation of a paricle at rest. The expansion of the particle from its singular point which expresses its rest will therefore propagate asymmetrically in space-time. At first, the entropy of a supermassive black hole is only the particle's alte…

I read of 3 phase motor cores, without the armature, as having some small weight loss when energized. Although the evidence is not much more that anecdotal, it does seem as an interesting experiment, although any weight loss is most likely due to interactions with the earth's magnetic field, from other external sources such as house wiring or simple error. I wonder if anyone on the forum has personally made a device to see if any effects could be seen, as the experiment itself could be a simple one to fabricate. Thanks for any input.

  6. It sounds like something that wouldn't happen naturally or by accident. Sounds like something that would take some preparation to set up. Yet regardless of how you feel about deities creating universes, it would seem that the more important thing to figure out is: what is spacetime made of? ...and can I test a small piece of it in the lab?

After doing 3 years of professional photography and also avid research into astronomy I am convinced with the technology that we have that we can finally debunk the conspiracy of whether or not we actually landed on the moon. This means no offense to the families of astronauts that have claimed to make the trip, however this monolithic task of being on the moon within the decade (according to JFK) was literally unbelievable. We have access to photos and videos of this event. We can then process those images to see if it was fallacy or reality. Note: I was born in the 90’s therefore I was unable to witness this event in person. However I have accumulated as …

There are three dimensions of space. Four dimensions of space time. Isn't the fifth dimension e (as in E=MC²) ? There seems to be five properties of an event, not four. Space time without the involvement of energy doesn't do anything. It might as well not exist. And does time actually exist, without changes in the location of energy? So energy is more of a dimension than time. So I'm proposing that events occur in five dimensions. Whether you could work out a system of maths for that is beyond me though.

In the middle of the last century, there was a theory of the Soviet astrophysicist Nikolai Kozyrev, according to which time, not hydrogen, burns in the stars. https://docviewer.yandex.ru/?tm=1659347015&tld=ru&lang=en&name=leivaditis_comments.pdf&text=kozyrev+'s+theory&url=http%3A//www.chronos.msu.ru/old/RREPORTS/kozyrev_100/leivaditis_comments.pdf&lr=213&mime=pdf&l10n=ru&sign=d4dd4d67cd7f8819ad695224d85b347d&keyno=0 But it did not pass the experimental test.

The purpose with this 'experiment' is in using one prediction or another to see if there are any strengths 'outside' of probability (a now factor) that bind us to a supposed 'future'. I'm new here and don't know anything much about physics anyhow. And don't believe that Time exists myself. But as there are actual physicists out there who do theorize that Time may be real, then I figure it might be possible to test out those claims in some way if it only can done to a small degree. That is if the future is real (Doc Brown gets it wrong) it might be that we can in some way detect its existence from this the present. For example: The next transit of Venus is set to…

  13. No material can have a net negative charge. Negative charges are produced by electrons and they can only exist in the atomic structure attracted by the positive nucleus of the atoms. The maximum number of electrons that any material can have is that which neutralizes the positive charges of the nucleus. More electrons than this can only be free electrons and they would repel each other out of the material. Then any material can only be neutral or positive charged. Negative ions also don't actually exist. Only more or less positive ions exist.

I know this is far out there but is the concept of all black holes ending up at the big bang make sense? this just popped in my head bit black holes end up in a singularity. could this singularity be the the big bang? black holes could could result in a hole in time and space and it makes sense that they could could connect with the singularity of the big bang. have any any scientific papers suggested this possibility?

“Ground” (GND) is such an enormously confusing term on the field of electricity, so that if one doesn’t go back to the basics, the confusion can become only worse. First, I want to say that the word “ground” is absolutely not well-chosen word for what it should represent in the field of electricity. Much more appropriate is the German word “Masse” (which means “mass”). To the word “mass” for a better understanding I would add electrically conductive mass. With this I don’t want to say that the confusion in the German literature is lesser, but only that this word is more luckily chosen one. Here I will compare the electric current through a metal wire with …

  18. A considerable amount of current can flow in an open circuit under certain conditions. I will present you a very simple experiment which undoubtedly proves that. But before that, let me give you a little introduction. Electricity is a fluid. Just as the water and the air can flow through pipes, so the electricity can flow through metal wires or other electrically conductive things. However, water and air are material fluids, whereas electricity is an immaterial fluid. Water is dense, air is less dense than water and the electricity is the least dense, actually it crosses the border of materiality and goes in immateriality. I will give you further down an example on t…

I recently had cause to look up the definition of supernova, and can only conclude that it is just plain wrong. I can understand early astronomers thinking that stars explode (there was literally nothing else to think) but once the existence of black holes was established, surely a rethink was required. Take a step back, from what you think you know about cosmology, and have another look, considering this: The greater universe is littered with vast bright objects emitting eternal light and vast dark objects absorbing it - anyone with any imagination, at all, ought to wonder, "is this some sort of cycle?" St…

  21. It is my opinion (SPECULATION ) that the electromagnetic fields that permeate the whole of the universe at both the macro and micro levels were around at the same time as the many many big bangs and big crunches that happen in the universe all the time.I speculate that BB and BC’s can’t happen without these electromagnetic fields. Why do scientists guess that these electromagnetic fields came after an assumed single big bang? Mainstream scientific observations are now providing firm evidence that the universe is not expanding uniformly and so the single Big Bang theory is now being put into question. What about the gravity theory then….uummm…it would be good if scientist kn…

  22. Recently learned of NASA's Eagleworks laboratory which is conducting advanced propulsion research. A waste of taxpayer money? Not in my view; we need more of this kind of research. https://ntrs.nasa.gov/citations/20110023492 ABSTRACT NASA/JSC is implementing an advanced propulsion physics laboratory, informally known as "Eagleworks", to pursue propulsion technologies necessary to enable human exploration of the solar system over the next 50 years, and enabling interstellar spaceflight by the end of the century. This work directly supports the "Breakthrough Propulsion" objectives detailed in the NASA OCT TA02 In-space Propulsion Roadmap, and aligns with t…

  23. I'm going to try and be as respectful and informative as possible. First things first, light travels no matter where it is unless it is completely absorbed, or under the affects of a black hole, it will remain traveling. How do you think we see the sun and other stars like it in space? If light doesn't exist in space then we would see total darkness, as this is the absence of light. Light and Gravity the same thing? No not even close, as a mater of fact gravity doesn't move. And its not a force so many people think it is, and its much more complex than you might think. I suggest you read Albert Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity, General Theory of Relativi…

  25. I have heard recognized physicists stating "Nothing can come from nothing" and if this is accepted as a postulate applying basic logic follows: As something do exist now (for instance we exist) it can be deduced that: _ The absolute nothing never existed. (If it it would have existed before nothing would have come up.) _ Something always has existed. Am I wrong in something? I think this is important in the tries to explain the origins of the Universe. The Universe didn't come from nothing then, it came from something. Something that could have always existed before. Not so easy to grasp may be but seems right... And if the above …
