Speculations Forum Rules

The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:

  1. Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
  2. Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
  3. Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.

The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

Please read this theory and please give me feedback. Please read all of this theory. My Theories on Death facing most likely facts there is no heaven, when you just die, end up a nothingness. But how can you be nothingness? Your consciousess has to go somewhere. When you go to sleep you lose time and wake up. What happened to your conciousness then? It doesnt matter because you regained it. But what is it like when you dont regain it? You cant be aware of what happens, How is it possible to not exist? The single fact that could prove my theory false is whether the human consciousness, or memories exist in the brain itself or in the brainwave impulses. If it existed i…

Stonehenge SUMMER SOLSTICE 2004 Following are some names of the many Stonehenge investigators who failed to published the presence of Carboniferous White Limestone, Carboniferous Pale Grit and Carboniferous Black Coal at the Stonehenge monument. The geologic outcrop at Stonehenge is Cretaceous White Chalk, just in case you forgot. Reason for their failure? None of these Stonehenge investigators knew about them. So the point is, why not go see for yourself what they missed, at the Stonehenge SUMMER SOLSTICE 2004 (now that you know their exact locations, and rough amounts) http://www.bentley-kemp.com/Weston/stonehenge/images/stnhng%20pansheep_jpg.jpg Aiding in t…

This thread is only meant to ask everyone here about the subject itself, and what's currently known about it. I've put it in the pseudoscience section for obvious reasons... Though it sounds a bit lame, I was just involved in a half hour or so argument with my mother about this subject, starting out when she suggested that I try writing a short story (which I like doing) in which the main character is a virus or bacterium. I didn't mean for it to last that long, and it's particularly annoying as I missed taping Invader Zim because of it. Basically it qiuckly turned into a debate about whether plants are conscious or not in the end (or middle, somewhere anyway). Durin…

"Matter-Master-Mind" YES.....God exist but NOT in the human form as the various RELIGIONs believe . Rather God is the "Matter-Master-Mind" of the Universe that programmed the "Mechanism of Evolution" rolling fundamentally; at an "Independent Rate" :and Man(Homo sapiens) is (or amongst) the master-pieces of this Evolutionary Mechanism Trend. If you view the Universe or Existence as a CIRCLE then either 'God would represent the Centre and Man(the master-piece) the Circumference' or vice versa. And the other Living and Non-living things occupying the rest. This programming is just as you programme your computer to understand or do your commands!! WHA…

Have you ever been laying in bed and your thinking all the stuff you have to do tomorrow and all the stuff you messed up on that day? It seems whenever I have a chance to sit down and think I get depressed. When I was younger and not as social I was sad a lot, not like really sad, just not satisfied with everything. Now I'm out all the time, I don't spend any time at home. I don't have anytime to think. When I do think I think about what I'm going to do with my friends the next day, and I'm always happy and excited. So, I was thinking that maybe thinking too much makes you stressed out adn depressed. Has anyone else thought about this??

Stonehenge Phase I: An Openpit Coalfield Model; The First Geologic Mining School Round about 5,000 years ago ancient South Wales coal miners transported approximately 800,000 pounds (241 cubic-metres; 8,510 cubic-feet) of South Wales "Carboniferous Limestone" (see Map below, No. 22 therein) to a South sloping hill on Salisbury Plain for the purpose of constructing an Openpit Coalfield Model of their roughly circular 'sacred boundary' South Wales Carboniferous Limestone outcrop (modeled Counterscarp Bank at Stonehenge), their roughly circular South Wales "Millstone Grit" outcrop (see Map below, No. 20 therein), and their roughly circular (centre basin) South Wales "Co…

  15. In the following site I analyse the incongruencies of the materialistic conception of the mind, on the basis of our present scientific knowledges of brain and matter. This analysis points out how Quantum Electrodynamics proves that the brain cannot generate consciousness, which existence implies the presence in man of a unbiological/unmaterial entity. The problem of consciousness is then strictly connected to the one of the existence of the soul and, consequently, the existence of God. http://members.xoom.virgilio.it/fedeescienza/englishnf Let's discuss my arguments here. I`m putting this in here as it involves backwards time travel and since that`s still in the realms of Science Fiction I think it`s best in here for now the year is 2090 and time travel is available. as an experiment a man is sent back to put a letter into a safe box and return to 2090. how far he goes back in time doesn`t really matter lets say he went back 10 years. it takes him 20 mins to put the letter in the safe box when he gets to 2080. the people in 2090 are at this safe box watching it`s contents for this letter to appear at the same time they send this guy back to drop the letter into it. now, will the letter appear in 20 mins time or the very inst…

I believe it would be theoreticly possibe to create a universe. If you have infinate processing power you could execute infinatly complex programs. What if it were possible to build a 'robotic computational entity' embryo that that has the ability to harvest space dust, gases and astral bodies. The entity would be able to evolve itself by producing processors, memory units and more robotic units to increase harvisting and manufacturing potential. The entity would have to be able to program itself using evolutional agorithms and it's purpose to write the most complex programs possible. Some problems for it to think about would be to write classes for atoms, …

The main idea of new theory of time-space is that time is a expression of change in motion distance and curvature. In a word, time is equivalent to space, and vice versa. According this new theory of time-space, there are three kinds of clock. Those are current clock, thing clock and Doppler clock. Every clock has its own second unit. Time-space is moving. Active and passive motion of time-space form a whole world of physics. The new theory gives us a definite answer to what the nature of wave, light, gravity, energy, passive inertia, active inertia, electricity, magnetism, special and general Doppler principle is. Light wave is a effect of the vabration of atom's sphere time-space determined by the double-focus principle. Light wave is a serial time-space spherical wave. light wave carries curvature and kinetic energy, but not mass.Suppossition that light wave transfers a equivalent mass is wrong. So, the mass-energy formula created by Einstein is also wrong. Energy is equivalent to the change in the curvature of time-space. Just some stuff I've been pondering. My understanding of the big bang is a nearly infinite amount of energy was injected into our empty universe through a near infinitely small point. Through tests today this energy has indications it can effect our universe at speeds faster than light and seems to have the ability to store massive amounts of data relative to time. If I had these properties to work with to build a universe I would keep it simple and never let the initial big bang "particle" expand but have it just stay small and fast. If it travelled our present universe touching every point over and over at near infinite speed following a repeating incremental patt…

  24. Is there gravity in the process of falling body? The answer is not. Galileo demonstrated that the acceleration of falling body is not concerned with mass, volume and chemical elements. This is Galileo phenomenon. Newton and Einstein attempted to use their theory, gravity law or general relativity to explain Galileo phenomenon, but it is not perfect. All physics know this. All physics also know that many phenomena can not clarified by Newton’s gravity law. For example, Newton’s law of gravity can only perfectly explain why tides occur on the side nearest to it, but not on the other side. In fact, there is not necessary relation between the phenomenon of fal…

The formation of wave is determined by The double-focus principle. In the spherical time-space, there are two focuses according to the duality principle of curvature. One is real focus caused by contraction motion of time-space. A nother is virtual focus decided by expansion motion of time-space. Two focuses overlap and interplay each other, which causes a serial vabration of time-space. So, wave is born by it. This is just theSo-called double-focus principle.
