Speculations
Pseudoscientific or speculatory threads belong here.
The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:
- Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
- Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
- Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.
The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

I plan on getting some engineering degrees, so I can become an inventor and invent things to change the world for the better as well as sell products and offer free products on the open marketplace and to non-profits so that the world can be better off than I found it. I have long dreamed of doing this and hope to accomplish this as it is a dream I hold close to my heart. Anyway I will be attempting through science and technology to create tech that improves the lives of everyone rich or poor regardless of status or monetary allotment. I will also find ways to work on provisional patents for upgrades and updates to and add-ons to many of the current patents are …

Check this out first please . Well one of my friends brother who passed out class 10 wrote it. Is it correct or is it just a good attempt by a 15 yr old I know it's out of topic but since I've decided to discuss my so called theories on this forum I'd like it to start with this I'd be very obliged if you all could just review and express your views about the paper. Is the big bang and evolutionary theory sciences theory of everything, it looks like a theory of everything to me. It looks like it a theory of everything because it explains everything doesn't it? Yes there are gaps in our knowledge, but the overarching story is tight is it not?

In standard Big Bang cosmology, the cosmic microwave background radiation (CMBR) originated about 13 billion years ago. Subsequently, it will be visible at a distance of 13 billion light years from its origin. Our own galaxy has only moved a much shorter distance from a place close to this origin since then. My question is how it can be that we, nevertheless, still can see this radiation. Text books assure us that the CMBR is a blackbody radiation that expands with the universe and so becomes more long-waved. This would require either that the universe was (1) infinite or (2) surrounded by a reflecting wall or (3) expanding like the surface of an inflating balloon. A…

I am 42 now but when I was about 23 I had what I believed was a profound realisation about the universe, I still think about it today and it is no less profound to me. This realisation was related to what science calls the theory of everything. It wasn't and isn't a theory like todays, but it is an idea, an insight into how the universe is actually doing what it does. Although I am not classically trained in physics this does not mean I am bad at maths or can't read about the maths, its just not that important to this insight. In fact, the insight is about explaining why the universe is mathematical in the first place. Anyway, this realisation took about 6 years to unfold…

The essay, "Debunking Physics and Discovering Forever (A Rational and Materialist Perspective of the Fundamental nature of the Universe)" is located at home.spin.net.au/paradigm/essay.pdf “For a completely consistent and connected understanding of the Universe, you need to begin from the most fundamental rational and materialist perspective that’s possible. With its over-riding commitment to mathematics and measurements and other abstractions, the physics establishment is an abstractionist paradigm that’s not completely rational and materialist and doesn’t begin from the most fundamental perspective. By adopting a completely rational and materialist and truly fundame…

Hi everyone, My name is David and I just wanted to share my thoughts, thx. The universe is accelerating because as time ticks forward, more "dark matter" is being created. I think "dark matter" is actually more than a single thing, I believe it's combination of two elements. The "DB" elements. The origin of "dark matter" or The "DB" Elements comes from the same place everything else does, dying stars. If you measure the mass of a dying star, then measure the mass of what we can measure after it dies. You will find much of the matter appears to be missing. This is because we can not currently detect The "DB" Elements. I look forward t…

Hi. Some questions have been installed in my head. 1. In what is transformed a material subjected to a pressure that overcomes the atomic cohesion? 2. There are tables dedicated to the maximum pressure that each material supports without losing its basic constitution. 3. There are enough data on our planet and other astronomical objects to calculate the pressure as a function of the radial coordinate, inside the body of the object. In the case of our planet, it would be the pressure at a point below the planetary surface. 4. Is there any known material, natural or artificial, capable of withstanding the pressure in points that are deeper than a certain limit? …

In the animation’s right side (or half): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:MichelsonMorleyAnimationDE.gif Why does the red (ball) go faster than c? Speed (v=d/t) is distance (d) per time (t). & the left animation (clearly) shows that the red ball moves (diagonally (up & then down)) faster than the wave(_speed c). (Simply compared:) The ball is moving faster than the waves. E.g. That (right_side’s red) ball travels more distance (diagonally); than the waves (can) do in the same amount of time. I.e. longer (diagonal) path, compared to the horiz…

This thread is simply an application of Newton's gravitational law and of the two corresponding shell theorems. Why have I decided to place the subject in Speculations? Because in this section, if a debate is initiated, there is more freedom to expose opinions. In physics we can take the laws and theorems individually. In that way we obtain pieces of information, comparable with the pieces of a puzzle. Sometimes a problem requires applying laws and / or theorems jointly. This minimizes the amount of free parameters and, for that reason, reveals details that do not appear in individual applications, or in cases that are resolved by applying a less numerous set o…

Without considering Earth magnetic field(the charged ball is only attracted by gravity), It does not emit radiation. The key point is: any charge accelerated by only one force will not emit energy. IT emits energy only when it's being decelerated. Or when it's being exerted by more than one force. A typical case is that the charge is running in circular track. The charge gains energy while being accelerated, releases energy while being decelerated. The universe is too perfect to just come about by any kind of random actions. The idea of a pre-existing matrix from which the universe emerged is not the beginning of the universe. This would just a mark a phase of the universe becoming. The statisitical probability that the universe just appeared by itself is a virtual zero. I have worked out the probability and there is just no way it could occur randomly, no matter what some would prefer. Science is not based upon taboos, just observations and data. If it is taboo to say that there was a pattern to which the universe complied then science is wrong as this is the only true explanation, If that requires a God for some …

11 hours ago, Capiert said: If I multiplied force by time, instead I would get momentum, which I would prefer (& trust more). Swansont suggested (from my Fiv thread) OK. Solve some problems involving thermodynamics with conservation of momentum. Go ahead. Try it. Or even a block sliding down an inclined plane with friction. Or an elastic collision, without involving energy. That, too, has limits on practicality. Here goes. A few assumptions are necessary. Collision takes time: While colliding the 2 balls are: in contact with each other for a specific duration time (amoun…

Goal: To use the parallel nature of a cellular automata and convert it to an infinite grid with infinite speed. The idea is that a single long line (infinite) in B3/S12456 breaks up in space consistently while sweeping past the screen, it has to sweep past an infinite traveller that criss crosses through the grid outside the bounded area in an imaginary area that relies on the way cellular automata are. All cellular atuomata fractally decrease in size so if you have large worm shapes at the start, they get smaller and smaller with no real change. My idea is that by having a line sweep through, you can make an infinitely large grid of the same basic pattern repeated, bu…

I am very about of open source science. Seriously. Thats why I dont apply patents, but publish free so everyone can benefit. How come, when the whole ecosystem is collapsing: including human gut microbes, that money is made and not science to benefit all? Corruption in this case, simply means: the original idea has been distorded. Thats why I released my invention of new generation "vaccine". Its "vaccine" since it does not fool the human immune system, but fools the virus. As the virus is launched, it is connected to receptor in cell. As we 3D-print these fake receptor pieces and inject them into bloodstream: most of viruses become harmless, as they launch…

Hello all. I wanted to try and make a perpetual engine. So I made a design in blender, and was wondering what wouldn't work, or if there were any improvements. Blue Bits are moving parts. Red Bits are the motors. Green bits are wires. The yellow bits are separate from the frame but are attached to each other. The first image. As you can see, the pendulum (yes I know I spelt it wrong in the image), will spin round and round on the motor, that motor will then be powering the second. (see second image) The second motor will be moving the yellow parts back and forth, (see third image) creating moving power for the top. The fou…

Think of a dimension as a sphere shape, this universe is a dimension that has a wall, there is another dimension much bigger than this one and some asteroids exist there some elements can produce worm holes and an element that produces gravity also exists there. One day the gravity element from an asteroid reached an asteroid that contained the element that produces worm holes and they collided, from this collision there was a reaction, the worm hole element produced particles with soul material that knitted together producing a living being with some gravity element inside his soul. This being then died in the vacuum, there are no stars there just asteroids and so this b…

The electromagnetic force of a D'Arsenval (spring_loaded) meter Fiv=P^0.5 is proportional to the rooted electrical_power Piv=I*V (small postscripts used) for current I voltage V, resistance R. Isn't that in conflict to James Watt's definition of mechanical_power (caution: small postscript m used) Pm=F*va (not to be confused, with the m) for (Newton's) force F=m*a mass m acceleration a, average_speed (velocity) va=(vi+vf)/2 initial_speed (velocity) vi final_speed (velocity) vf. (I mean:) Both forces Fiv=F produce mechanical displacement t…

Mass and spin, a particle must have mass and spin... However I believe that for a particle to have more than one property it must have underlying structure, for the sake of this discussion let us assume that this is the case. This idea presents a quandary for certainly a particle must have spin and mass to exist. The solution to this is what I call the proto-particle, the most primitive building block of our universe. Let us consider a particle with a single property, is that property mass or spin? Certainly it must be mass for without mass there could not be angular momentum. My investigation of what this particles structure might be began with the idea …

A new atom model Abstract: This paper presents a new microscopic extension to the Coulomb’s law-a formula that describes how electron and nucleus interact each other within atom world. Based on this Coulomb’s law extension, a new atom model is proposed. Compared with current electron-cloud model and with old Bohr model, this model is most like atom’s real physical structure. Using this new model and basic integral calculation, the spectrum of hydrogen gas and the spectrum of ionized helium gas are successfully derived. Key words: Energy levels, Microscopic, Coulomb’s law extension, Balance point, Balance sphere. New atom model.pdf

So I've only posted a few times. And I don't really like to think of myself as a physicist, just a thinker. I get concepts, I get how they relate to each other and somehow I see them play out as a whole. this is the basics of "dark matter" manipulation. if dark matter exists, we can conclude a few things about it: it does not directly interact with the electromagnetic spectrum. it is effected by gravity. so we can almost treat them like neutral particles that cannot carry charge or light conceptually. right? so hypothesis: this picture displays what ions would do if the green object was a wire going into the screen and the orange line below it is…

Why is it that people on here ignore that the moon has an atmosphere? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atmosphere_of_the_Moon its says .3 npa which from all sources that converts to 4 psi just for easy comparison. Our atmosphere is at 14.7 psi. Mars atmosphere is at 14.6 psi. It may not be one just like ours but it is one. sorry that was 4 to the -14 Whats collecting the gasses that it does have is what I want to know Mars is half the size of earth and has half the surface speed of earth approximately and has almost the same amount of psi as earth. Why isn't there a relationship between the atmospheres and the size and speed of the planets includ…

To some extent I feel like I am beating a dead horse but here goes. The vast majority of UFO sighting are either conventional objects misidentified or lack enough data to really make a judgment. Contrary to popular belief there are sightings that suffer from an embarrassment of data and yet stubbornly refuse to be identified. It should be mentioned that the original meaning of UFO was a flying object that could not be identified after exhaustive study, not simply lights in the sky. There are many "classes" of UFOs from the ones so silly they make for a good laugh to sightings that are either unknown technology so inexplicable as to be spacecraft or intentional…
