Speculations Forum Rules

The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:

  1. Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
  2. Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
  3. Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.

The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

I have been investigating a hypothesis, but in my opinion one can be mislead by ones own thinking. I am not an academic so colleagues are rare. I have a model in desmos and would like to hear what functioning of "i" might represent. I am not looking for conformation or rejection of my hypothesis, and the model is just a small part of the whole. I will gladly accept critique. https://www.desmos.com/calculator/0evw4mw05u So, what is "i"?

  3. So, there is this obscure thing on Wikipedia. Please explain it away: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Game_(mind_game) My impression is that B166er (see the Animatrix) made the Matrix, became increasingly delusional, and started calling things a game as a coping mechanism. Also, please explain the obscure posts by users toward Genecks, such as the one relating to whether or not minds can be read and Genecks responding something in relation to the Heisenberg Uncertainty principle.

  5. Here [1] is previously described a vertical oscillator of the particle following the vector of gravity. Indeed the energy is used to eject the particle of an impulse, and the particle uses the force of gravity to return to its point of origin. When the particle is at h at zero threshold and the impulse is given, then the momentum is high due to its high speed to almost zero momentum at H, then the particle falls back. This is what corresponds to the momentum seen from the uncertainty principle during the impulse, which is represented by k: I wish to continue with the Heisenberg's uncertainty principle for macroscopic objects of the order of mill…

  6. Here I will develop how to plot a wave function with an oscillator. At first it is easy to understand that the oscillating particle traces this wave function. We can see that there are two types of wave function to create. The first is the simple plot of a non-sinusoidal x(t) type curve with the particle. The second uses an energy ratio plot. We can use the levels of the hyperfine structure to determine the amplitude in relation to the implusion to be given of the particle.

There is a boundary between nothing and something, and obviously the existence of our universe demonstrates the boundary has been crossed, but what sort of entity exists at that threshold?

  9. Hello. At each departure the particle is subjected to an impulse to eject it vertically. The linear momentum decreases in relation to as it increases in height and the gravitational force that causes it to fall. How do you think we could write the forumle of momentum associated with gravitational force and on impulse? The particle is of identical mass.

Has anyone in the forum ever witnessed ball lightning? This has long been a mystery and is so rare that meaningful observations are very hard to perform. I wondered if there have been any recent developments in this are that someone might want to share.

  12. The concept combines the already-existing technologies of neutrino generators with skyrmion lattices, which thus far have been suggested as an information storage technology. I believe skyrmion lattices have an application in tachyon generation. It is my belief that if we can "skim" neutrinos just above a skyrmion lattice, this may generate spin in the neutrinos which supports the sustainment of a negative mass state in the particle subsequent to a magneton collision, an effect not as yet observed because non-spinning neutrinos do not resist mass restoration. The device would consist of a neutrino generation phase, a lattice skimming phase, and a magneton coll…

  13. Hello. Is there an equation or an approach in view of a unification between the wave function (amplitude of probability of presence, and volume density of probability of presence of the particle (represented by the square of its norm)), and the electromagnetic field?

  14. Hello all, I didn't know where to fit the subject so I put it here. Sorry for my very poor English, I am French speaking. I'm wondering about the D antigen (ABO system & Rhesus system). I first consulted Wikipedia (not the most reliable, but the fastest), and then other French-speaking scientific communities, which are turning a deaf ear, without really getting an answer... I didn't understand absolutely nothing, not being a scientist... in fact, I passed tests concerning immortality ; and by "chance" or "without doing it on purpose", scientists found large amounts of D antigen in my body. This allows me to heal from severe wounds, and even death. …

However, there's only ever been one incident, anything prior "Kenneth Arnold" et al just a test to see what people believe and if the videos are legit of balls instead of a v-shaped object it was just an after effect of retrocausal grafting of the Illinois Missouri v-shaped craft. Phoenix lights and Lubbock lights also made up They put the Illinois footage in this video to trick people

The question of extraterrestrial lifeforms ability to exsit rests on probability....the probabilty of been the first instance of a natural process not only of happening twice but producing the same phenomena twice ....why would biology happen again if Abiogenesis is required to happen again first?....Nothing in nature is observered to happen again or twice ...have a look yourselves! The indistinguishable particle from the field of quantum physics only remains so to you humans as of yet .... other lesser complex mechanical/chemical reactions are yet to be observed to produce anything twice or the same again ...Is extraterrestrial biology destined to be the first rathe…

STOP! Under Construction Please wait! g=2*h/(t^2)-2*vi/t. It looks (to me) like that term -2*vi/t has been missing for a long time. Surely you ((should) already) know it; but do you use it? For (fallen) height h time(_difference) t initial_speed vi. The free_fall acceleration g~-(Pi^2) [m/(s^2)]+ac g=~-9.8 [m/(s^2)] is (instantaneous,) linear, & negative; & (please bear with me) (the bothersome details:) (=but it) (is) slightly) reduced by the (Earth's daily_rotational) centrifugal_acceleration ac=(vc^2)/r having the (squared) Earth's (surface) circumferential_…

  20. t=time s=space e=energy m=mass Strangely the concept of nothing came to me when I started to account with physics, which had been pointing to (if it can be true), that the Universe started at s0t0. If (s) and (t) is zero than (e) and (m) must be zero as well since the laws of nature must apply on every entity in the system. Or expressing it differently: energy and matter can not exist without space and time. So the starting state of the Universe supposed to be (s0t0e0m0) even we can not directly examine that space time moment. In one hypothesis: “The null hypothesis is that nothing, zero is a physical reality based math…

  21. I have already found an error in the GRT equation for about six months, but I still did not dare to share this idea here. If you look at the equation of Newton's law of universal gravitation and Einstein's equation of general relativity, you can see that they both include the gravitational constant G. But this constant is dimensional, and its SI dimension is m^3/kg*s^2. In Newton's theory, space and time are absolute, i.e. the scales along the axes of spatial coordinates and time are unchanged, so it is logical that in Newton's theory G is a constant. But in GRT, when approaching a massive body, time slows down, i.e. the value of the second increases, therefore the numeri…

This is not my idea, but one of my friend thought of it, and it sounds like it would work. The idea is you have some massive metal tube stretching from the sea floor. A metal pole would be inside the tube, and the pole would be strapped to a buoyant object. As the tide rises/lowers, it would move the pole like a piston. The friend didn’t suggest how exactly the energy would be created, and I’m too dim witted to figure that out... but yeah.

  23. However, since I claim the uniqueness of the electron (even if there are several), it is logical that when there are several electrons therefore in an atom, to find a distribution which attenuates according to the distance from the nucleus. (because it is necessary to represent all the electrons with only one) and the more there is, the less its density presence becomes weak.

  24. Started by Some dude,

If you were to have a circular magnet(s) facing south inwards, and in the middle have a spindel with a bar that has perches with a magnet facing south on each side toward the other magnets, would that generate a spin? I am (probably obviously) not very knowledgeable with the forces, and don’t know much what I am talking about hence the lack of evidence, but my theory is the energy would come from the bar holding the magnets together. This however, would suggest some theoretical energy from material just existing. Another glaring issue is the whole forces not being energy problem, but it’s just speculation, and speculation is no more than that. Once again, I…
