Speculations
Pseudoscientific or speculatory threads belong here.
The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:
- Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
- Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
- Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.
The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

Conflation hypothesis. The main difference between conflation and current theories such as inflation, is that the latter would be like blowing up a balloon. As you blown more air into it , you would see the space and surface area of the balloon expanding at every point, getting further and further apart. However with conflation, You could imagine the balloon is already inflated with air, So to move energy into the balloon. We need a outside source of kinetic energy and a medium such as the air inside the balloon to transform that kinetic energy in heat. We know there are 5 types of kinetic energy, however only 4 apply here. …

Ok to show I don't just waste my time looking for patterns in factoring. I have also studied game theory. Not so much the rigorous math, but the protocols. With a little knowledge and possible outcomes you can make some good predictions. I don't know if my reference will be lost on those who don't follow American football but here it is. I predicted on January 10th 2019 that Antonio Brown would become a New England Patriot. I have proof in the YouTube video link following. But my simple approach to game theory does not end there. Simply put the Patriots are ruining football. What if we the fans could devise a game plan that would defeat the Patriots. We cou…

We have been taught that current is the movement of particles. But that doesn't match what it is traveling at the speed of light. I was thinking about it, and it seems that current is wave that behaves like light wave in black body. There is principal of multiple reflection of the wave from the walls of the conductor. This also explains the fact that conductors usually have a glossy surface.

Hi my names rick, Now before you click off and designate this post to the forum's trash can, Because iv just mentioned some new ideas i have on how the universe may work, I would love for you to read part 1 of my paper on my blog url deleted you can click the PDF button and it will show up in the browser. I am looking to seek validation and scrutiny of the hypothesis as i feel it does address some of the current pitfalls with previous theories. if you would kindly share or even better if your working in any field of physics , where this hypothesis may match up with experiments or Documented / personal observations. I will be happy to post your replies and see if this…

Granite is found only on Earth. It was not found either in meteorites or on other "planets" of the solar system. Officially it is unknown why. I suppose, it is because the Earth is the largest object in the Universe, with the greatest gravity and pressure in the subsoil. Links to quote in russian (did not find the same in english): 1) https://beversmarmyr.com.ua/articles/istoriya-formirovaniya-granita 2) https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Гранит#Проблема_происхождения_гранитов

dthor68: Does anyone ever question Pangaea? It seem as plausible as Plate Subduction Tectonics, which implies that Everests and Matterhorns should be popping up all over the Pacific. Both Pangea and Plate Subduction are fabrications designed to explain a constant Earth radius. This has been refuted by UNESCO which, following James Maxlow's Earth Expansion Tectonics Theory, has compiled a Geological Map of The World at great expense. The evidence of this mapping proves that the Earth has doubled its radius over tha last 180 million years, and at an exponentially increasing rate, with the mid-ocean ridges located at the most recently laid down basalt. The ocean…

Psychology is still juggling personality disorders, as it has for the last 200 years, trying to find a model that represents them more accurately. In regards to Sadism, sadistic behaviors and activities, it has changed quite a bit. IN the late 80s, the described sadism, not as a paraphilic disorder, as they do now, but as a personality disorder. They essentially erased social sadism from the DSM as a disorder at all, and now only consider sadism to be a sexually associated disorder. So what disorder now describes humans, who seek positions of power, or have them, and use them to hurt, intimidate, degrade, humiliate or scare others? There isn't one. In a way, t…

They write here that around 1350 BC, Mars was in geostationary orbit, and they give good evidence. Proof – Mars Orbited close to Earth 1350 BC (Updated) But if about 3350 years ago Mars was in a geostationary orbit, then its diameter cannot be 6.7 thousand km., but just about 15-20 km., as I suppose in my New Model of the Universe.

I fully agree with the concept of gravity based on quantum theory. I offer you your point of view. In general, my work is based on a Cotton flow for a gauge field. Let's see further. The theory of everything is mainly associated with the general theory of relativity and the standard model. On the one hand, the equivalence principle and on the other hand the gauge principle. The two principles are completely opposite to use, one for space-time geometry, the other for quantum fields. For the union is looking for a way called quantum gravity. Canonical quantization of gravity is called Wheeler equation. However, there are difficulties, lack of time and the inabil…

In an effort to understand how mutations and natural selection could lead to the modern human eye, and the brain, which has developed along with it, I began to study the evolution of the eye. I came here and read a few applicable threads and read through them, and I was introduced to all the different types of genetic mutations. I am looking for types of mutations that are not random. This is because I don't believe the earliest mutations which began the continuing evolution of the eye, for instance, were random. As I understand it, biological life may never have began without light. And before any organisms had eyes, they had ways to process light for it's ene…

Let us consider some experiments. We place a stiff copper wire on a table. Parts of its length don’t touch the table. Above a wire section that does not touch the table we hold a strong cylindrical magnet with its plus-pole down (N-pole), so that the wire lies exactly under the middle of the magnet. Then we connect a new battery to the ends of the wire so that the plus-pole is closer to us and the minus-pole further away from us. At the moment of connection we will notice that the wire makes a strong deflection to the left and up. As soon as we turn the magnet over and repeat the same, the wire will make a strong deflection to the right and up. If we hold the magnet again…

Analogy and interpretation of quantum entanglement according to Kartazion Imagine a game of ping-pong. At the center is the singularity, or the source, where there is the net. Each of the players is a particle. Together, they therefore constitute the entangled pair throughout the game. The ball is the packet of information. Let me explain. If one player has the ball, well the other player does not. The state is therefore always opposed. The entanglement corresponds to the current game of ping-pong. But when a player wins or loses the game, or the game in progress, the ball is then in the possession of one of the two players. Here we have the state of measurement. The…

This article on how the light produces the colors I will begin with phenomena that everyone can see in daily life. If we look at the flame of a candle or a cigarette lighter in a dimly lit room, the flame is blue-violet in the lower part and yellow-orange in the upper part. If the part of the wick running over the wax is very short, then the flame is very small and it appears only blue. The flame of a gas stove is also blue, but as soon as we increase the gas supply, yellow tongues appear in the upper part of the flame. The smoke of a cigarette, whose smoke columns are not very dense, appears blue against a dark background, whereas yellow-orange against a l…

If the BH interior is supposed to contain no material things, all converted to gravitation, could this action occur from a fluid like substance composed of virtual particle pairs so closely held together that they exhibit particle exchange, therefore becoming an analogue to a bose einsein fluid? It seems as though there should be a "something" inside the BH from which graviation to act from, and if not from material things, then perhaps virtual things.

Contrary to everything you have learned about the so-called “cathode rays”, I assert something completely different about them. Please look at this drawing: This is a kind of cathode ray tube (CRT), also called Braun tube, which can be found in every CRT TV, monitor or oscilloscope. On the left side of the tube is the negative electrode (the cathode) and a little to the right is the positive (the anode), which is in the form of a metal disk with a small hole in the middle. To the right of the anode there are two additional electrodes which, when connected to a high DC voltage, deflect the beam from its straight line upwards to the positive electrode. The beam …

"It should be possible to explain the laws of physics to a barmaid." - Albert Einstein. Does this contradict the following quote from "Ideas and Opinions" by the same author? THE WORLD AS I SEE IT (Originally published in Forum and Century, Vol. 84, pp. 193-194, the thirteenth in the Forum series, "Living Philosophies." Included also in Living Philosophies (Pp. 3-7), New York: Simon and Schuster, 1931.) "...I am satisfied with the mystery of the eternity of life and with the awareness and a glimpse of the marvelous structure of the existing world, together with the devoted striving to comprehend a portion, be it ever so tiny, of the Reason that manifests itself i…

P.S. This is copy pasted from Crunchyroll, where I originally made the post, but I find it of biological significance so I repost it here myself. Progesterone is originally thought of as a pain relief medicine for menstrual cycle(I think), but researchers have found its incredible regenerative capabilities in the womb(sorry if I did not mention this before = =, I thought everyone is tracking my progress). So some researchers decided to use progesterone for regenerative medicine. It is based on this research by Michael Levin https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/article/progesterone-helps-frogs-regenerate/ Also please check out this harmless video https://www.youtube.co…

http://onlinebooks.library.upenn.edu/banned-books.html here is a great link on books banned in schools and elsewhere. Also notice that Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species comes up. So does Shakespeare and dozens and dozens more, some, I think, don't have any right being banned. Some explanations are very vague and almost unbelievable. For example: and... Also mentioned is the Bible, Gone with the wind, etc. etc. What are some of your thoughts about banning books? In the school system, in libraries, anywhere? Here is a site giving some history on the more extremist "book banning," including the famous book burnings: http://www.al…

Disclaimer: This is just a crackpot idea of mine. I am posting this to get opinions and thoughts from others who understand this stuff much better than me. 3D flat 4D universe model To start we know that on a large enough scale the universe is relatively flat. So we imagine the universe in this scenario to be a 3D flat disk that's the universe we occupy right this moment. It has height, width' and length and consists of all points in space. But we have a fourth dimension, time. We experience time as a linear relation of cause to effect essentially observing changes moment to moment allowing the perceived forward progression of time. But what if what we e…

Have anyone of you ever considered that the holes in the Ozone was first started when Man sent the first Rocket from the earth out of our atmosphere. This is my Hypothesis. We burst our Magnetospheric bubble per say and allowed the degradation of the Ozone to begin at that very moment Imagine a blowtorch when it burns through steel it's a blowout. The Earths atmosphere is designed to envelop incoming asteroids when they enter in. But was not designed for an avulsion when the rockets leave the atmosphere. It's against Natural Processes. Just a Hypothesis please consider it with an open mind.
