where is jesus and allah to help people that had great life and then were attacked or their life was destroyed by terrorist attacks etc. (just example). I dont feel sorry for the people. I think its wrong but I ask to understand the religion.

I have been wondering how religion and spirituality started and its relationship to science.

In the Bible the snake was the one who tempted Eve into eating from the "Tree of the knowledge of good and evil" telling Eve you will be like God if you eat it. I am wondering if the snake was a liar or telling the truth. According to articles I have read that snake is pretty much Lucifer/The Devil/Satan and he is supposedly the father of all lies and wants to lead all of humanity astray. The existence of a starting point in the universe that all motion in the universe can be traced back to suggests that this motion is being intentionally created as the result of this event. The classical view is that matter is obeying the laws of physics as it travels through space-time. What is really happening is that a starting point is being created in order to lead to the motion in the present.

I don't believe believe in God or Gods, but I do believe that there must be reasons why humanity invented them. I read the book years ago while still in my early 20’s and didn’t pay enough attention to it to fact check what and how Hitchens portrays in the book. Evil is real and we are experiencing it. We complain of the evil around us. There are different types of evil as we know such as natural-calamities, manmade-wars, crime, emotional/psychological, physical-illnesses. Now for a moment, can't we just think of the redemption from this evil and the justification of why it happened to the world? Can science justify or explain the evil or religion? Hello, maybe this should have gone in the religious thread but I believe it to be more so religious philosophy. Here goes, as of now, I am inclined to believe a creator. @DaniWhite 1.) How can something be created out of nothing? When you say, there is no god, no creator, then matter needs to pop out of nothing into the world. How can this happen?
