Is there a time where formal in names was implemented or mandated or it has been well before 2000 years ?

Isn’t our time based on the speed the Earth rotates? And all our time is compared to the speed of light. In SI units a second is the distance light travels.

And why must there always be a beginning? I have seen arguments on this forum showing why infinity times infinity still equals infinity. So even if the universe did begin isn’t that infinity. In between 2 times isn’t the distance infinity?

My point is that did we invent time to explain our world or is it based on observations. And if it is based on observations can we rely on it to explain and apply to physics?

I post this in religion because I believe time determines religious beliefs. It is how we experience the world. And some scientists believe that the World could not be created in 7 days. Time is also how the World works. But what if there was no time?

I want to give you an idea of who I am. I was an evolutionist, but Christ changed me into a Christian.

Many scientists believe the beginning of Universe was about 13.8 billion years ago. A subset of those scientists believe an infinitesimally small, densely packed, super-heated region (point) exploded as the Big Bang, and other scientists believe that nothing exploded as the Big Bang.

Regardless of alternative models, such as a cyclically oscillating Universe, I am focusing on the beginning, that is, the origin of the Universe.

I believe the Universe is about 6,000 years old. For me, and not for scientists of the Big Bang persuasion, "faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1) applies because my assurance of things hoped for is my Lord and my God Jesus Christ's triumphant return while scientists are not hoping for the Big Bang since scientists believe the Big Bang is an event of the past.

Scientists believe the Big Bang Theory is science. I postulate that the Big Bang Theory is based on faith. I propose scientists of the Big Bang Theory are more accurately identified as philosophers of the Big Bang Philosophy or Evolution religion, and I write this because of the difference between science and faith. Can any of you scientists rationally explain away this postulate as wrong?

This latest apocalyptic ‘end of days’ prediction began a few years ago with a South African pastor called Joshua Mhlaka who apparently had a dream in 2018 which predicted that Jesus would return to this world on those dates, gather the faithful, and take them all back with him up into heaven.

An alternate view known as ‘Pretribulationism’ regards the Rapture and the Second Coming as two different events. No doubt all will be explained in due course once they actually happen. But I think our view of omnipotent is limited. We know science and I often think about physics in church. But I don’t think our science is enough to decried omnipotence.

Having proven God’s existence, we reflect on its implications for knowledge and ethics. This opens up infinite possibilities for unifying all knowledge and sciences and obtaining infinite power over all matter via the Mind of GOD by bringing ourself into harmony with HIS perfect law which is love, that is to treat all as self because we are all manifestations of the ONE Consciousness, even GOD, our True Self, which means that whatsoever we are doing to anyone, we are doing it to ourselves, which is the foundation of the Eternal Law of Justice.

So, the bulk of history shows Western Christianity to have been at least neutral towards, or indeed supportive of, science as a rule.

Coming to interpretation of scripture, there is a very long-standing tradition, dating back to Origen, one of the Fathers of the Church who lived around 200AD, to interpret Genesis as an allegory, i.e. as a piece of literature conveying a meaning, rather than a documentary account to be taken literally. Origen and Jewish scholars of his time in Alexandria, where he lived, had read their Homer and were familiar with the tradition of epic narratives. They realised one obviously can’t take both Genesis 1 and 2 literally, as they give conflicting accounts of the story of creation. This allegorical view was one of several that was held in the church from that time onward.

Paradoxically, it was the rise of science, after the Protestant Reformation, that replaced the medieval sense of “mysteries” with the conviction that humanity could now have certainties, leading to a demand that the entire bible should be read as a science textbook, to be taken literally word for word, rather than a mixture of history, myth and literature employing literary devices such as allegory to make its point.

As science advanced in the c.19th it became increasingly obvious that a literal reading was untenable. Those Christian denominations that had a long tradition of biblical interpretation by theologians were able to accommodate this, but some of the newer, literalist branches could not - or not without increasingly tortuous attempts to square the circle.

So today we find that the more mainstream denominations , including Catholics, Episcopalians and the Church of England, most Methodists and Presbyterians, don’t struggle with the science of the age of the Earth or evolution. At least, not in terms of their official theology. What the individual person in the pew may think can vary, of course, depending on how much thought they have put into the matter.

But as far as the timeline my current view is we will begin the biblical end times starting this fall. The Rev 12 1:2 sign in the heavens occurred 9/23/17 which is the anchor point which puts us in Revelation. This alignment has never occurred before and never will again. The seven year time marker was 9/23/24 which was an important event the summit of the future which if you were paying attention the whole thing revolved around peace and security which triggers the day of the Lord 1 Thesselonians 5.

The precursors are sun turning dark and moon turning to blood which happened in March out of Joel 2. The last precursor in Joel 2 is to blow the trumpet in Zion. Which is feast of trumpets. The Hebrew new year feast of trumpets is Tishrei 1 which falls on 9/23/25 this year, the 1 year anniversary of the summit and 8 year marker from Rev 12 1:2. 8 is the number of new beginnings. The 10 day feast ends on Tishrei 10, day of atonement which they also blow the trumpet, but only on jubilee years which this year is one.

The whole "no one knows the day or the hour" may be just a clever wink and a nod from Jesus to point us to the feast of trumpets. The feast of trumpets is known as the feast that no one knows the day or hour. This is because the Hebrew calendar is lunar based and the feast is declared when two rabbis witness a sliver of the moon as the new moon is ending. They dont know the day or hour of the new year until this happens.

Also this year Resurrection Holy Week and Passover occurred at the same time which likely means the Gregorian and Hebrew calendars are in synch this year. Too many coincidences for everything lining up for something big not to happen this year. Thrown in the ramping up of tensions in the middle east and its not hard to think everything shifts this year, specifically looking at the 10 day window in late September

I just read an article where it stated that Trump would like to create policy that would support a "Religious Liberty Commission", which would essentially limit or dissolve the separation of church and state. This sounds like a very bad idea to me.

Has anyone else heard about this? What do you think?

Concerning Christianity, I propose that its adherents covertly believe that “Jesus” resides on Earth and that, upon His death, all existence shall cease and recommence with Him as a young boy. I conjecture that most inhabitants of Earth harbor this notion—that God incarnate dwells among us—yet refrain from acknowledging it. The Christian conviction that He shall resurrect the dead and usher in a new Heaven and Earth speaks unequivocally, in my estimation. I ponder why contemporary society has not exalted an obscure living man to the status of God incarnate, a practice seemingly prevalent in antiquity. In the present day, a man exhibiting a messianic disposition is deemed mentally unsound; yet, for reasons that remain obscure, Christians do not apply this judgment to Jesus. I surmise that Christianity’s magnitude renders it impervious to scrutiny, and individuals recoil from the prospect of being perceived as irrational for asserting that “Jesus” walks the Earth. Thus, there lies a collective refuge in attributing such divinity to the figure delineated in the sacred text provided by God.

            I perceive an irony in 2 Peter 1:16 as it pertains to our era, which declares: “For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.” Likewise, I find Matthew 16:28 both ironic and pertinent, which states: “Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”
