First I must start off with two quotes from Jesus. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+22%3A20-22&version=KJV http://biblehub.com/kjv/matthew/10-34.htm Heaven had problems in its hierarchy and so does earth. Now at the present moment in America there are issues from which some radicals would say America needs a violent revolution so that itself does not implode from the ignorance of its leaders. Although Jesus's Triumph on the Cross sent Satan into exile from Heaven into our world he agrees that human's should be passive in dealing with the government as stated in the quote regarding Caesar. Then he incites revolution within the wor…

U.S. Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly on Monday confirmed a Reuters report that he was considering a proposal to separate women and children who cross the U.S. border with Mexico illegally, a policy shift he said was aimed at deterring people from making a dangerous journey. Kelly was asked in a CNN interview about the proposal, first reported by Reuters on Friday, in which the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) would change U.S. policy and keep parents in custody while putting children in the care of the Health and Human Services Department. "Yes, I am considering - in order to deter more movement along this terribly dangerous network - I am considering exactl…

If Trump does actually get funding for the Immigration Wall, the next time a Democrat is elected, the wall can be dismantled. Twice, Dems have put solar collectors on the White House, and the next Rep admin have removed them. Turn about is fair.

There is an old saying that goes something like “An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cures.” The big expense for everyone is health care insurance. That is why it is better that everyone be insured so they may begin to expend the ounce of prevention in terms of healthy life-style (diet and exercise) EARLY in life, and often avoid the expensive treatments for the ailments of an unhealthy life style later in life. That helps to avoid using the emergency room as your doctor of last resort. People need to be reminded and encouraged to make the effort for a healthy life-style. That is why I propose the junk food tax. A panel of nutrition experts co…

Not only does suicide indicate a loss of life and life value, but it's probably economically relevant too. I've only had significant formal study of biological science, but I found the possibility interesting and decided to post some data here. I quickly gathered what information I could regarding the suicide rates of immigrants and also how family disruption (such as that due to deportations) might be conducive to suicide. As it turns out, Mexican immigrants do have higher suicide rates. Immigration and Suicidal Behavior Among Mexicans and Mexican Americans As the tables show, there is no difference in suicide attempts between Mexicans of families without an i…

Obviously, I don't have a horse in this race (as they say) and this ship has sailed (to mix metaphors) but this is an interesting (and bloody annoying) cross-over of politics and science (or lack of). There have been frequent conservative media (is that all the media in the US? I don't know) references to the "fact" that Obama uses a a lot of first person pronouns ("I", "me", "my", etc) and this is a symptom of how self-centred he is. Not surprisingly, this turns out to be bollocks (on both counts). The latest (and possibly last) such story is analysed here: http://languagelog.ldc.upenn.edu/nll/?p=30515 Whatever your politics, there is no excuse for this sort …

This story is about Trump's "sheer joy of lying" just for the sake of lying, even about trivial matters. Trump's Lies vs. Your Brain http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/01/donald-trump-lies-liar-effect-brain-214658 "Donald Trump is in a different category. The sheer frequency, spontaneity and seeming irrelevance of his lies have no precedent... A whopping 70 percent of Trump’s statements that PolitiFact checked during the campaign were false, while only 4 percent were completely true, and 11 percent mostly true." "Those who have followed Trump’s career say his lying isn’t just a tactic, but an ingrained habit." "In his own autobiography, Trump used the …

Russia's parliament has voted to decriminalize domestic violence by an overwhelming margin. The vote decriminalizes instances that do not cause "substantial bodily harm" and do not exceed once per year. My condolences to the women and future victims of this reprehensible vote.

I think the post/office/role of The President Of The United States Of America is redundant. Xenomorphs like CIA can well run the nation. The murder of Democracy by an elected representative of the country is like music to the ears of the Company. BTW I got an input from website wittyfeed.com that AI had predicted that Trump would win the election. Trump is curtailing the development of Science and Technology in America. Crying over spilt milk are we? To put it humorously : You cannot stitch a ruptured condom(aka science and technology). A day will soon come when humans will have to prove they are not robots(anywhichway you look at it).

Elections have consequences. The ban on immigrants from specific Islamic countries is one of Trump's campaign promises. As POTUS he is able to do this. There are questions about conflictsof interest. It appears countries which should be obvious targets for such a ban, give its stated excuse, aren't on the list because Trump does business there. http://www.npr.org/2017/01/28/512199324/countries-listed-on-trumps-refugee-ban-dont-include-those-he-has-business-with Trump's failure to work with theState Dept., DHS, and DOJ to roll this out smoothly reflects Trump's inexperience in gov't. He doesn't appear to understand how changes to policy are made, which depts are i…

I read somewhere that the words "In God we trust" are inscribed on the Dollar Note. The American Establishment has flushed God Almighty down the gutter long ago. They are singularly atheist and their megalomania borders on extreme mental perversion. The whole drama of President Trump taking oath with his hands on Lincolns' Bible is not going to fool anybody. The President is not above the Establishment.

Trump is famous for his repeated claim that "Obama founded ISIS" because he believes that Obama's decision to get totally out of Iraq was a mistake because it created a vacuum that allowed ISIS to form and grow. But was it Obama's decision that created this vacuum or was it the Iraq government that insisted that US forces had to leave because we could not arrive at an adequate status of forces agreement? My next question is why do we never hear commentary on the second part of Trump's response to Howard Stern in Sept of 2002 when Trump answered Howard's question "Should we go into Iraq?" shortly before the Iraq war began in 2003. Donald answered "Yeah, I guess so.…

This country has disappointed you so because of their electing that stupid Trump that you should remember that you're always free to leave. Try moving to Canada. If that doesn't work try moving to Mexico - they really like Americans as long as they can pay. But Obama DOES care about the truth doesn't he? After all, he told us that the economy was up and unemployment was down and the VERY NEXT DAY the reports from his own departments showed exactly the opposite. He told us that the economy was ALL Bush's fault while anyone could go to the Department of the Treasury reports and see for themselves that was a bald-faced lie. On TV he told us all that he worked the hardest …

(Excerpt from Politico.com : http://www.politico.com/story/2017/01/paul-ryan-town-hall-trump-obamacare-233577 ) By Rachael Bade. 01/13/17 12:07 AM EST "House Speaker Paul Ryan on Thursday night offered the fullest accounting of his own thinking on the direction of the nation since the election, even gently breaking from President-elect Donald Trump on controversial policies from Russia sanctions to Medicare reform. "Ryan also said the U.S. needed to step up our game in countering Russia after the nation's interference in the election. Trump throughout the entire campaign defended Russia and cast doubt on intelligence findings alleging cyber-int…

Is America in need of a new economic and social model? It may be first time when America is looking inward. From a dream land for people of the world it has become a full fledged nation. Has innovation come to a standstill in America? How many skilled workers are needed in America? What will drive America in the 21st centtury? Most important question : Will Capitalism swallow Democracy and its values?

In recent years, privatization of prisons has come under scrutiny as a failed experiment. Similarly, many municipalities are now rethinking their decision to sell public utilities to private energy companies. Reagan-era federal government downsizing in the 80s led to selloff of public energy assets. Retail costs have soared over the years and continue to go up, while wholesale energy is getting cheaper and cheaper. We were promised cost-effectiveness due to large-market efficiencies, and it seems that has happened but hasn't been passed along to the consumer. Many consumers want to go back to public ownership and control, especially now that the big energy corporations ar…

At the beginning of WWII, countries counted battleships to assess the power of navies. However, aircraft sunk most of the battleships at the beginning of the war, and most of the remaining ones early in the war, which led to aircraft carriers becoming the most powerful ships. Since that time, the power of the US Navy has been assessed by the number of aircraft carrier battle groups it has, which is 12 aircraft carrier battle groups. Perhaps some other countries count the number of nuclear submarines or nuclear missiles they have, because Russia and China have only one aircraft carrier each, and they are smaller than US aircraft carriers. One can argue that Russia has …

Hello everybody... This story will be fabulously, incredibly, horribly expensive for sure. Whether it kills EDF, the French near-monopoly electricity producer, and puts France in a Greek situation, will be seen in a few years. Context: in the 70's, EDF is the state-owned monopoly electricity producer and distributor. The government orders to build nuclear powerplants everywhere. Besides the dependence on Africa for uranium and besides a few core melts, France gets electricity. These reactors are 40 years old, some should have long been replaced, but Areva can't develop the EPR reactor, so nothing is done. The EPR building sites abroad will cost delay penalties…
