Speculations

Pseudoscientific or speculatory threads belong here.

Speculations Forum Rules

The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:

  1. Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
  2. Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
  3. Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.

The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

  1. If you have a spacecraft made of a fence of nanorods only a few atoms thick made of carbon nanotubes, it can be miles long and contain that much material in an ion drive to release just a few atoms at a time, and the craft would be so light that the only mass youre moving is the fuel for ionization itself, which means even if the craft is miles long it can constantly accelerate for centuries because of how much fuel it holds, and accelerate fast because the only real mass is the material being ionized.

  2. Started by Frogger,

https://images.app.goo.gl/NTEDUvnmRQFjqRzX7 These are every possible genetic code possible. To alter your genetic code, should you run this program, but wait until your genetic code meets you? ------>--------> Dim I$(1 to 64), Bases$(1 to 4) Bases$(1)="T" Bases$(2)="C" Bases$(3)="A" Bases$(4)="G" For base1=1 to 4 For base2=1 to 4 For base3=1 to 4 n=n+1 I$(n)=Bases$(base1) + Bases$(base2) +Bases$(base3) Next base3 Next base2 Next base1 The above program runs through every possible genetic code (!) however should you wait until your genetic code catches you?

  3. I am not sure what happens when you contract the length of the universe to 0 when you reaches the speed of light rendering all distances from the lorentz length contraction to 0. That means moving pass this point would supposedly help you move past this universe to the next one. Does this make for a good time machine or should I go with sphere eversion method = = aka falling through the universe?

  5. Sir Roger Penrose has been doing some work on developing a mathematical model for how the brain actually works. He suggest that consciousness itself may exist in a state of superposition which is actually in the realm of quantum uncertainty that theoretical physics does not clearly define. Our physical brains may actually just be interpreting quantum weirdness when it comes into contact with energy to give us the illusion that we are self aware. It has really got me thinking that if that is true, then there is a part of our minds that we cannot normally access that can obtain information with a spooky action at a distance throughout space and time. Our brains do …

  6. Lol. I see plenty of dismissal, ridicule and condemnation but not a sign of any intellectual, scientific refutation of the information AND observational/experimental evidence provided and included in the article. Such as, the ferrocell device revealing that masses and magnets do NOT mutually accelerate towards each other, contrary to your academically endorsed and over popularized conventional theories of EM and gravitation. You may think it's all pseudoscientific technobabble, but i am merely reiterating the works of scientific greats such as Tesla, Faraday, Maxwell, Heaviside, Steinmetz, and others. It is their terminology which i use. It would be unwise to accuse…

  7. This is a continuation of another thread (kind of): https://www.scienceforums.net/topic/46143-stirling-turbine/?tab=comments#comment-1148735 but it is also something of a fresh start. So, I'm here starting a new thread To get right into it, I purchased several identical Stirling engines from https://www.stirlinghobbyshop.com/ that is not a promotion, just a fact. What I liked about these were they came in kit form, so I could do various modifications. The first modification was simply to cut down on heat loss by replacing the steel bolts that came with the engine with nylon bolts, and also to add insulation where necessary, and to use a vacuum in…

  8. Applying entropy to the Big Bang model has always sounded controversial to me. For the Big Bang theory we consider "universe" what is occupied by matter and not an empty container of infinite dimensions in which matter expands. If so, the laws of physics would be violated and we could not use them: the parts of the universe furthest from us, in fact, continue to move away, in acceleration, at higher speeds than the light. Rather than accepting a "universe metric" that does not follow the laws of physics, I prefer the idea that there are other dimensions in which the universe, without a center, is in fact the surface of a hypersphere, in continuous growth. Here t…

  10. Started by Scott alan miles,

What if Jupiter was closer to Saturn at one point(perhaps while traveling after the Big Bang) and instead of gravity we use magnetism and the moons on Saturn got crushed because it was negatively charged and Saturn and Jupiter where possitive. The result would be negatively charged rocks caught in a possitive field. It would help explain why the rocks sit in place ( Jupiter and Saturn new distance would lock most in space. And why the globes never reformed. No possitive there. It’s a nice stretch anyways.

  11. Started by Scott alan miles,

What if the electron had a more powerful field than simply 1. Let’s say -25. now what if the proton was +25 now the neutron - + 25. Both at the same time so instead of gravity to explain the universe we use magnetics The center of Jupiter is believed to be liquid metal helium making a magnetic effect. the neutron does what it is named for. Neutralizing both opposite itself. It both absorbs and emits at will a magnetic field And because it is neutral it can be ejected as posssitive and neutralized by the button and turn it’s self negative to reattract to the possitive core. This works on a small, subatomic level as well…

  13. Hello, Consciousness/ is considered puzzling. For example our subjective feeling and perception e.g. of pain and colors (Qualia). First I want to deal with other special features (where a new logic, layer logic, might help us): 1) There is hardly anything more present and conscious than our subjective perceptions - how does this work? 2) Nevertheless, we cannot perceive each other at all. How and why are they so subjective? 3) Intersubjectively we only perceive bodies (via our sensory organs). Why the path through the senses? 4) There seems to be a coupling between our mind and our body. 5) Similar to the body, the subjective mind appears to be spatially isolated. …

  14. I take Einstein’s equation e=mc2 and make it m=ec+ to c- Basically the c is coalescence and that happens at the speed of light or slower. The particles become a wave at c+. if we take a normal helium atom -1 for electron 0 neutron and +1 for proton and then convert it to a magnetic field strength calculation for attraction or gravity -25 electron -+50 neutron + 100 proton the neutron is both attracted and repealed to the proton and nuclear force takes place on a small and large universe. The neutralizing force of the neutron removes magnetic attraction of the proton making the proton start out at 49-1 fiel…

  15. Although I believe Yanchilin's quantum theory of gravity is correct, I found one POSSIBLE error in It. This error is not fatal to his theory. An erroneous conclusion is that next to with a large mass, the speed of time increases. This means that near a large mass, the rate of decay radioactive elements should be increased, and experiments show the opposite. So don't demand it new experiments, and understand the reason. Considered example. The neutron flies away from the observer at the speed of v, because of the Doppler effect, the length of its de Broglie wave increases, the natural frequency decreases, the decay constant increases according to the formu…

  16. Does nature have a foreknowledge of observer’s motions and actions - Scientific proof of God based on quantum phenomena I will start with one of the puzzles in quantum mechanics. In the “Which-Way” and quantum erasure experiments, how does a distant light source ‘know’ whether or not the polarizers are there, so that the source can ‘aim’ the photons to only one slit or to both slits, so as to form a Gaussian pattern or an interference pattern, respectively ? According to current paradigm, the process of emission of quantum particles such as photons and electrons is completely random and casual. In this post, a new paradigm is proposed as follows. Just…

  17. hi, - What is curvature of space time ? it's a variation of relative lengths (metrics).. - Would a physical system be invariant if we scale it up or down ? (and why?) - what if we consider general relativity as a field in space that define the scale of matter... the "graviton" would transmit scale variation between two spaces - matter would always tend to accelerate where scale is smaller (picture a circle around which scale varies, just as with curvature, some part of the circle would contains "more" space is the scale is smaller). So a particle at the center of the circle would have more chance to change state in that direction (that would be the gravitatio…

  18. Isn't everything in motion? The Earth spins on it's axis, the Earth spins round the sun, the Sun spins round the galactic core and the galaxy itself is in motion set by the big bang, it is not known if the universe itself may be moving or vibrating as well. So to be stationary one would need to understand all frames of motion exactly and counteract each one exactly and since galactic motion can only be estimated stationary from a human perspective is just not possible

  19. In this link, near the end of the video, Matt O'Dowd explains that thermal black holes can be created in a vacuum by nothing but solar radiation - given one can absorb 20% of the sun's total energy output into hematite to generate such a powerful laser. Early in this video, we see in the physics programmed into Universe Sandbox 2 says about the vast amounts of energy contained within very narrow laser beams, with a typical laser pointer beam narrowed to about .1 nanometers will cause small parts of the earth's surface to be vaporized. Then it occured to me we don't need to consume entire planets in order to make thermal black holes, we can ju…

  21. The analysis of the quantum structure of the five atomic elements composing the coded twenty amino acids and the four coding nucleotides of DNA working in the organization of the genetic code reveals an opposition of their respective constituents in always an arithmetic ratio of value 3/2 according to the parity of the number of their quantum shells. Also, the quantum analysis of the amino acid Glycine, the smallest component of peptides that can be confused with saturated base, reveals the same arithmetic oppositions of 3/2 value of its components by the differentiation, operated according to their number of protons, of its five chemical groups. Genetic code, quantu…

  22. Speed is not a feature of gravity this means the universe does not have a speed limit. In other words "c" in "e=mcc" should be calculated as "c=f(G)", why? Well we know that c is a "special speed" which defines "difficulty to move at that speed" But we also know that galaxies move away faster than "c", then we know that "G" defines the "difficulty to move" Connecting all of that: Galaxies are able to go faster than c because they have lower G which means a higher c Cosmic expansion may also be cause partially by an "outer sphere" in addition to this. That is the lower G gets the higher c gets, so in this way we can fix relativity without…

  23. ---The Brief Introduction of Magnetic Field--- More than 2500 years ago, man had found magnetic interaction and make use of it; 200 years ago (July 21, 1820 A.D.), H.C.Oersted declared that magnetic field is related to electric field; In the next 75 years latter, Ampere, Faraday, Lorentz etc sum up various magnetic interaction rules, their achievements all hint that magnetic field is related to the motion. In fact, Oersted, Ampere, Faraday, Lorentz had discovered all the basic nature of magnetic interaction (1.electric field, 2.motion), but they all didn't pay enough attention to it, didn't organize it systematically, the scientific climate changed later, became to…

  24. Quite plausible actually, not just in principle. In the inertial frame X of some planet in a galaxy 27 billion light years from here (distance measured in frame X), the universe is currently (simultaneous with us now) about 30 billion years old. Yes, the universe for such an observer would be quite different from what we see here since for one thing it appears to be over twice as old. Much more mature galaxies and such. Yes, we do know of galaxies moving at sufficient speed for this. The one I mention above would have a redshift of about z=1.3 as viewed from here, and the record holder is over z=11. Yes, I realize I'm replying to posts fr…

I used to be skeptical about such evidence, here are both scientific and mystical ones. What do you think? Is is real evidence or every part of it can be called into the question? Doe it prove anything? video removed
