Pseudoscientific or speculatory threads belong here.

Speculations Forum Rules

The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:

  1. Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
  2. Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
  3. Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.

The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

  1. While I realize some of what I'm about to say will bear the hallmarks of pseudoscience, I hope once people read it they will see the merit and the moderators won't remove it out of hand. This isn't an attempt to avoid peer review, it's a rush towards it. Abstract: This theory will attempt to explain all matter, energy, space and time in the universe as massless momentum expressed in different dimensions. The core postulation is that all energy at the most basic level is inherently directional. This comes from over a decade of research breaking down each possible clue to the base components of matter and how they may operate to unite as many concepts as pos…

  2. Based on Strange's question about how I came up with 1km distance for plasma generation in mid air. Well, first thing we need to know is how to create plasma in mid air and Aerial Burton has a good idea about doing it from the video below. Now for the electron density in air for plasma generated with this method is around 10^15 electrons per cm^3(this means 10^21 electrons per m^3). Normal air is mostly O^2 which gives a molarization energy of around 1320KJ. So If you do the math to find the amount of plasma you need to satisfy E=mc^2 equation you will find that you need about 1km of plasma which is inefficient. On another hand you can compress the gas and …

  3. I might go straight to the proposal. Consider that the interior of black holes (BH)s only contain negative energy densities, also known as negative masses. These negative masses have been predicted to be repulsive by other famous physicists such as H. Bondi and W. B. Bonnor, but have not been taken seriously due to a paradox called "runaway motion" which takes place between masses of different signs. These negative masses would be created from infalling particles to the BH by a time transformation taking place at the event horizon, which only switches to antigravitational interactions, without violating Einstein's equivalence principle. The original S…

  4. There is an interesting fact, if the de Broglie wavelength is equal to the Planck length, then the momentum is determined on the Planck scale L= 10 {-35} m p = m v = h k = h / L = 60 ( kg m/s) A person lives with such an momentum (60 kg, 1 m / s) , intelligent creature. I think this is not a simple coincidence, on the Planck scale the concept of space-time is replaced by quantum gravity, moreover, the quantum theory is modified (generalized uncertainty principle). This means that the wave properties on the Planck scale should disappear (the many-worlds interpretation disappears, a single self remains), the border between the quantum world and the cl…

  5. Some aspects of special relativity can be defined through the geometry of entanglement, such quantities as holographic screens, speed, time. The main focus is on the entangled empty space entropy as the basis for the emergence of holography in special relativity sp.pdf

Particle wave duality. I can’t remember where, book or video, probably video maybe both, but it was presented amazingly that a particle could pass through two slits at the same time. To me that would be amazing. So, I question it. It’s difficult for me to accept, as I understand the concept. Of course it could be my understanding. I read that for what seems the most part particles only exist for a short time. Also, amazingly presented as popping in and out of existence. Then there is my understanding of Heisenberg‘s uncertainty principle. Note, I am not questioning it. I am accepting it as true to a point, and that point is that you can’t measure both at …

i apologize if I'm posting in the wrong forum, but I signed up just a matter of moments ago and didn't see an obvious candidate to post this in. What I'm going to describe, I have to believe, is commonplace. Yet I've never heard -- or sought -- an answer for it. Perhaps others can provide insight. This concerns what I describe in the title as instant pre-cognition while in a dream state. I'll give you the example which sparked my participation here. It occurred ten minutes ago at the end of a dream, so I have no doubt that I'm reporting it as I experienced it. First off, I was in the show "Game of Thrones" which was enormously exciting. It was a longish, multi-s…

I agree. That's only an analogy with a structure that could in principle be in agreement with the "wave-particle duality" concept. It is not a given structure for light or any particle. For all of you to have an idea of what I'm talking about, the special structure I gave for a photon is basically a pair of rings of current, one positively charged, the other negatively charged and travelling together at an equilibrium distance equal to half of the De Broglie lambda. They also have a protective shield around which acts in the case of collisions with other particles. The diffraction behavior is explained then as in the "Photons diffraction" pdf file I have a…

  11. The establishment of the Maxwell equations marks the perfection of the classical physics. But it is resolved from the Maxwell equations that the velocity of light is a constant. To explain the confict between the Maxwell equations and the classical physics, Lorentz revised the Galilean transformation to Lorentz transformation. Since the invariableness of the light velocity is veried by Michelson and Morley experiment, the light velocity has been accepted by people as a constant, and thus the special relativity put forward by Einstein. According to the special relativity theory equation: Suppose that R1 and R2 are both inertial reference systems whose relative…

In past discussions, for those who recall or have interest, I described a diminished functional similarity specific to both the schizophrenic brain and the dreaming brain. Generally, both brains experience a decreased state of prefrontal blood flow (hypofrontality), which suggests decreased prefrontal brain activity. This prominent physiological effect that both brains appear to share suggests some shared root cause, which is not my focus in this discussions. My focus is the hallucinatory nature of schizophrenia relative to the nature of dreaming. My speculation is that schizophrenic hallucinations are similar to dreams in that they are interpretive responses to stimu…

  13. Is it possible to build spacetime based on system without time and dynamic? It looks as it is not possible. However, seems as there is way to derive spacetime based on system without time and dynamic. I wrote article how it can be done. Link to article is: https://vixra.org/abs/1812.0157 Or, direct link to pdf document: https://vixra.org/pdf/1812.0157v5.pdf In the article, I propose following model: 1. Time and dynamic is absent on fundamental level. No any motion, no energy, nothing related to time and dynamic on fundamental level 2. On fundamental level there is Euclidean space, with al least 4 dimensions. (And yes, I know about imp…

  14. Most of them directly use GEM, like Gravity Probe B - please specify experiment and we can discuss it. This question is not only "alternative history", but also many e.g. in SETI hypothesize existence of other civilizations - it might be worth understanding if their physics would be based on GR, or maybe on adding corrections to GEM - which might asymptotically reach GR? Not having Einstein, which experiment could convince e.g. them that it is necessary to give up flat spacetime and introduce intrinsic curvature?

This was going to end up here anyway. Using plancks constant times the grav constant over c^3 for lp and 5th power for lt I multiplied 9^28 into it as the numerator and it equated to the planck mass and when divided by the wavelength of a photon I got the planck density synonymous with the planck temperature. That is, irrc. I have it all written down. Anyway what is being said is that there is a limit to gravitation where the planck time is exceeded there is a recurring rescaling of c and the planck constants at 1/9^28th scale in the singularity collapse where the material achieved stability again. At half that miniaturized recursive constants volume, we picture…

  16. If you have a spacecraft made of a fence of nanorods only a few atoms thick made of carbon nanotubes, it can be miles long and contain that much material in an ion drive to release just a few atoms at a time, and the craft would be so light that the only mass youre moving is the fuel for ionization itself, which means even if the craft is miles long it can constantly accelerate for centuries because of how much fuel it holds, and accelerate fast because the only real mass is the material being ionized.

That means moving pass this point would supposedly help you move past this universe to the next one. Does this make for a good time machine or should I go with sphere eversion method = = aka falling through the universe?

  20. Sir Roger Penrose has been doing some work on developing a mathematical model for how the brain actually works. He suggest that consciousness itself may exist in a state of superposition which is actually in the realm of quantum uncertainty that theoretical physics does not clearly define. Our physical brains may actually just be interpreting quantum weirdness when it comes into contact with energy to give us the illusion that we are self aware. It has really got me thinking that if that is true, then there is a part of our minds that we cannot normally access that can obtain information with a spooky action at a distance throughout space and time. Our brains do …

  21. Lol. I see plenty of dismissal, ridicule and condemnation but not a sign of any intellectual, scientific refutation of the information AND observational/experimental evidence provided and included in the article. Such as, the ferrocell device revealing that masses and magnets do NOT mutually accelerate towards each other, contrary to your academically endorsed and over popularized conventional theories of EM and gravitation. You may think it's all pseudoscientific technobabble, but i am merely reiterating the works of scientific greats such as Tesla, Faraday, Maxwell, Heaviside, Steinmetz, and others. It is their terminology which i use. It would be unwise to accuse…

  22. This is a continuation of another thread (kind of): https://www.scienceforums.net/topic/46143-stirling-turbine/?tab=comments#comment-1148735 but it is also something of a fresh start. So, I'm here starting a new thread To get right into it, I purchased several identical Stirling engines from https://www.stirlinghobbyshop.com/ that is not a promotion, just a fact. What I liked about these were they came in kit form, so I could do various modifications. The first modification was simply to cut down on heat loss by replacing the steel bolts that came with the engine with nylon bolts, and also to add insulation where necessary, and to use a vacuum in…

  23. Applying entropy to the Big Bang model has always sounded controversial to me. For the Big Bang theory we consider "universe" what is occupied by matter and not an empty container of infinite dimensions in which matter expands. If so, the laws of physics would be violated and we could not use them: the parts of the universe furthest from us, in fact, continue to move away, in acceleration, at higher speeds than the light. Rather than accepting a "universe metric" that does not follow the laws of physics, I prefer the idea that there are other dimensions in which the universe, without a center, is in fact the surface of a hypersphere, in continuous growth. Here t…

What if Jupiter was closer to Saturn at one point(perhaps while traveling after the Big Bang) and instead of gravity we use magnetism and the moons on Saturn got crushed because it was negatively charged and Saturn and Jupiter where possitive. The result would be negatively charged rocks caught in a possitive field. It would help explain why the rocks sit in place ( Jupiter and Saturn new distance would lock most in space. And why the globes never reformed. No possitive there. It’s a nice stretch anyways.
