My take on time dimensions is one of ratios. It is inreference to Albert Einstein description of the fourth dimension. The fourthdimension can be seen as length width or depth interchanging into the 4thdimension of space or the dimension of time. We know that rest mass is a form of energy, and that matter holds huge quantities of energy locked away. However, it is not yet known how to release all this energy. I propose that the energy associated with rest mass is actually the potential gravitional energy of all the matter in the universe falling together. This could explain where rest mass comes from. Hey forum, This is Zyph. I tried to google this and stumbled across this forum. Maybe this isn't the right place to post or ask but I hope someone can guide me. My idea is that if the evolutionary theory is correct, and that their are planets that can support life, that the dominant species of those planets would be reptilian. The reason I say this is because scientists say that reptiles and dinosaurs were the most dominant on this planet before the mass extinction by the comet or volcanic eruption. I was thinking about what would it be like to see and what would happen if a really large body, like an mostly iron core asteroid hit the moon. First if the asteroid was in the few tens of miles range would it just be a fireworks show with nothing to worry about or would it be an earth shattering event? Given that local spacetime is flat, there should be no possible way to measure any curvature at a single point. With no curvature, there is no gravitation. If a mass can be a point mass, it would need observations or measurements of spacetime from multiple locations in order to determine any curvature and be affected by it (eg. gravitational attraction).
