The Last Days of Living in a 3-dimensional Universe I write this speech on the last day of living in a 3d world. How do we work out the amount of matter inferred by the light we see in the universe? How do we work out the amount of matter from the light? The little I remember about spectroscopy was that you could find the amount of stuff by the intensity of absorption bands-but that was small samples in equilibrium. Looking in any direction into space gasses are at different temperatures so we`ve got emission bands superimposed on absorption bands and vice-versa. So surely using spectroscopy we`re only looking at the difference between emission and absorption and there isn`t a way of determining the amounts of material spectroscopically. A hypothetical de-synthetisation of spacetime as a synthesys of space and time. Question: is there space for time? Answer: Only if space is discrete. I have been thinking about a great idea to make use of a largely untapped source of energy to get free energy and thus reduce global warming. Here is how it goes. What about this then. I belive that once a photon has been liberated from an atom it no longer has any velocity in the time dimension. All matter is traveling through spacetime at c, in the case of matter most of the velocity is in the time dimension. When I watch these pop-science shows with people like Michio Kaku, I keep seeing them say say that the universe originally expanded faster than the speed of light because it's actually bigger than 13.7 billion light years, which they try to explain with various theories such as dark energy, but with a pretty universal property in quantum mechanics, couldn't that infinitely small thing that it was at the moment before it big banged be very or perhaps infinitely delocalized and thus make the universe bigger than what light would expand to be?
