Dig it, man! Some people have music in their bones. It doesn't matter what you give them, they'll make something out of it.

Funny how songs sound stronger when they've gone.

Yep. Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley (although the writer Cohen is still alive). Johnny Cash - Hurt (ditto on writer)

Yes, Buckley sings like he meant it. Love that Cash track; the sound is luscious around his voice and good lyrics too. Both are a bit heavy in the message department.

I listened to them through my earphones and the soundscapes were great.

What a voice for an eleven year old. Got a few Black Sabbath fans I know are gonna both love and hate it!

I know what you mean but I Iike to feel it all sometimes, even the more melancholy side of people's thoughts like those two you put up.

And now for something completely different... let's dance!:

She sounds like Klaus Meine right down to the little inflections.... she does to my deaf ears anyway. She's great. :)

The one and only true incarnation of genuine cheesiness - Mr. David Hasselhoff at 63 years of age:

Always liked the Krokus version of Ballroom Blitz. Its just adds the hair metal I crave into one of the coolest punk songs.

Dust Bowl Dance by Mumford & Sons! :D (what do you guys think of Mumf? I love their music ...)

what do you guys think of Mumf?

Don't like them. Not my musical cup of tea. In order for rock to be good, it must melt faces and kick ass. Mumford and Sons does neither of these things.

Here's some real rock n roll

This is rock at its best. It examines the dichotomy of success and celebrity status with the feeling that it is not truly deserved. Slow, but with good earphones (ask StringyJunky) this sounds awesome, I really mean awesome....

Lyrics:

How long can you stand

Tightening up
Avoiding the fight
Avoiding the truth
Tighten the smile
Tighten the lie
Will you get what you want
To be cursed with your dreams
I hope for your sake
Something gets in the way

How long can you stand
Living under the lens
The kiss of success
The ensuing, all consuming, mess

Message of love
They arrive everyday
People you touch
Wasting away
People you don't know
Give you no choice

And you're sick to your stomach
At the sound of your voice
And the shape of your face
And the sound of your name
They send you pictures of yourself
It's someone you don't know
And they call you a genius
Cause you're easier to sell
But the fire in your belly
That gave you the songs
Is suddenly gone
And you feel like a fake
Is that what you want?
