I've been interested in two elements for a long time, those being, francium and fluorine. If your and bit familiar with these elements then you'd know already that they're a perfect match when you compare their valance electrons.. Now I have been out of college for a little, but from what I can remember, francium having one valance electron should connect with fluorine having seven. Sense they're both extremely volatile or reactive, especially fluorine, and the more energy released between two elements when they fuse means francium and fluorine should be practically inseparable.. At least I'd hope honestly I'm clueless, any thoughts?

Hi, I have researched for a long time but have only found that weather indirectly causes higher violence, and the they said it is from people spending more time outside. I'm looking for a study that says hot weather directly effects the human mind and may increase violence risk. Any input at all please is welcome. Thanks.

  4. In part, corporations, rich and governments contribute to world poverty. Let's see how. The corporations need to achieve goals. For this, there are dismissals, low wages and high profits. The rich have no obligation, but they could help the poor. Governments are permissive in the name of tax. In Paris Macron appeals to governments and corporations for the climate. They should make a meeting to reduce poverty on the planet.

This don't really concern religious beliefs, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong subforum. Are there people that believe in the existence of 'fantasy beasts' like Yeti, Bigfoot, Sasquatch, monster of Loch Ness....? Why? Reason?

In the past the entire planet was involved in wars: Ancient Rome, Mayans, Aztecs and Incas, Ancient China, Ancient India etc. World War II and Cold War. Today, the planet in general, is more globalized. There are some localized wars. The tendency in the future is to have less and less wars. Governments spend billions of dollars on armaments. The "warlike" companies will not exist in the future, there will be no more wars in the future. Does it seem utopia? The law of probability says that it is possible.

Hi everyone! I got a small plasma ball off eBay in April. I have it on a timer so its on from about 7:00PM to midnight. Over time, I have begun to notice that it doesn't seem to be as vibrant as it used to be. Is there some component that will slowly die after awhile or after a certain amount of use, or is there something wrong with it?

This is what seem on a dry surface. https://i.imgur.com/ouPkmpP.png The observation could seem the light was spread evenly on the surface. This is what seem on a wet surface. https://i.imgur.com/1Y95wAm.png Something weird happened, the light was spread like a ring with a hollow on the center. I guess this phenomenon was related to Frustrated Total Internal Reflection, but could somebody can explain briefly on this?

Hello all, I have a question in Neurobiology that I am very confused about. So, If a toxin binds the voltage-gated potassium channels on nerve cell membranes, keeping them permanently open. It is suspected that the toxin is taken in to the nerve cell by receptor mediated endocytosis and then blocks the channel from closing. What would be the result at the cellular level if the toxin was exposed to the toxin. What would a normal action potential look like and what would am action potential of the neuron exposed to the toxin look like?

If we observe the whole creation around us,-the stars, the planets, galaxies, earth-based creations (trees etc.) we experience the majesty of creation that seems to shout on us to reveal something or it want to reveal on us something. And why we have this same feeling or experience at first when we are alone?

In the 1950s the american middle class had a two-story house, one or two cars, good salary and family. Today, the middle class needs two jobs to have the same. Health care and mortgages, expensive. Some invest the economy of years to "invent". $ 100,000 to create something that maybe not sell (american inventor). Greed in America is generalized.

  21. I have performed a binding experiment using a biotynilated molecule ranging from high to low concentration. The molecule exhibits 100% binding at low concentration (as expected) then gradually drops off. The drop -off is more extreme at higher concentrations. If the beads become saturated past a certain concentration shouldnt the curve drop off quicker and at a steady rate? (it should be noted that the % captured is measured by fluorescence) Binding curve is below. The beads are GE's Sepharose Mag beads cat # 28-9857-38 Thanks!

Hello, i am a scientist working for a goverment organization on producing new energy sources for the planet. I had to come up with the project to produce electricity. I have one idea but i am not so sure if it will work. Everybody knows about the solar pannel and how the absorb solar energy. But our planets weather doesnt always allow this. But what if we sent satellites that have solar pannels that absorb the energy from the son and stores it. Then when the storage is full the satellite would come down and another wold take its place. I do understand how much money this would cost and that it very expensive but please comment.

Futurist and inventor Elon Musk unveiled ambitious plans Friday to send cargo ships to Mars in five years and use rockets to carry people between Earth's major cities in under half-an-hour. The founder of SpaceX said a planned interplanetary transport system, codenamed BFR (Big Fucking Rocket), would be downsized so it could carry out a range of tasks that would then pay for future Mars missions. "The most important thing... is that I think we have figured out how to pay for (BFR)," Musk told a packed auditorium at a global gathering of space experts in Adelaide. "Which is to have a smaller vehicle, it's still pretty big, but one that can... do everything t…
