I am unsure of what a model actually is. From what I have gathered , it would be a diagram with added maths , that all fits together. I have tried an example and made a make shift model to see if this is what you mean. Space is equal to 0, 0 is equal to constant. 0C+CE=EC Zero is constant, add constant energy, equals an energy constant. Would this be a simple model? Or more on the lines of using Plank constants etc?

Okay, I know I got close to this but then I am not sure. Any help is appreciated: Here is the problem: There is a string of pearls, which has 33 pearls on it. The largest and most expensive one is in the middle. The string of pearl is worth $65,000. Starting from one end, each pearl is worth $100 more than the one before, up to the middle. Starting from the other end, each pearl is worth $150 more than the one before, up to the middle. What is the value of the middle pearl?

This problem seems really easy (and probably is) but I am troubled by it for some reason. I can't remember it exactly because it was on a test in my high school chem. class today. What is the pH of a solution that has 12.00 g Na(OH)2 and 250.0 mL H2O?

Well, I have all summer to prepare for calculus based physics in the fall. I started last night and I've already come upon a problem. I'll just use this thread to ask questions instead of making 100 of them throughout the summer. Any help is appreciated. The problem is: A man throws a ball horizontally such that the ball leaves 1.5m above the ground. At what velocity must the ball leave his hand so that it reaches a point 20m away without touching the ground before it gets to that point? I got that the initial velocity in the y-direction is 0, which allowed me to find t. But that still leaves acceleration in the x direction and initial velocity in the x direction …

  10. Hello, I needed to survey a group of people for their opinion on some current political problem. I decided to do the one on Ken Bigley, since it is quite controversial. Please give your vote here and your reason if you'd like. I will give a full bibliography(so if you post your opinion and the reason for it, and i decide to include it in my project you will be mentioned in the bibliography.) Encrypted P.S This is for Socials Class, and I have two weeks left! So vote, vote, vote! And may i also ask Blike or Sayanora to make it so that this post is always first.

Hey everyone. I'm going to a Bible College right now, and we're taking a class called Science and the Bible. We're learning about evolution vs. creationism, and later on in the course, we have to write a report. Because we don't want to make things up and assume what people who believe in evolution think, we have to ask some questions. I will be handing in your answers completely unaltered. It would be awesome if you could answer them as best you could. Do you believe in God? If so, briefly explain your view. How do you think the universe began? How do you think life originated? Explain how you believe life forms evolved? How old do you think the earth is and…

hi, can somebody help me My task: Determine the force with which you have to pull the two suspend sorts at least on paper straight down, so that the paper unrolls. Allows you to choose which suspension is therefore easier. My approach: sin(∂)=Fn/T cos(∂)=Fg/T Fn = Fg/cos(∂) * sin(∂) = Fg * tan(∂) Fr= μ * Fn = μ * Fg * tan(∂) Fr=Fz Fz=μ * Fg * tan(∂) I think the difference between the two systems is the force exerted by the pulling force on the wall. Why is one easier than the other. I have no idea, how I can calculate the force which is produced by the pulling force. thanks already in advance

Thanks, Angel (that is my real name please dont laugh at it!)

The aminoacid glycine is often used as the main ingredient of a buffer in biochemical experiments. The amino group of glycine, which has a pKa of 9.6, can exist either in the protonated form ( -NH3+) or as the free base (-NH2), because of the reversible equilibrium R-NH3+ Û R-NH2 + H+ a) In what pH range can glycine be used as an effective buffer due to its amino group B) In a 0.1 M solution of glycine at pH 9.0, what percentage of glycine has it’s amino group in the NH3+ form? c) How much of 5 M NaOH must be added to 1 L of 0.1 M glycine at pH 9.0 to bring its pH to exactly 10.0? d) When 99% of the glycine is in its –NH3+ form…

If we have a closed box filled with liquid . It is given a horizontal acceleration g/2 and a vertical acceleration g/2 . Then I tried to find the angle of the free surface with the horizontal . It should be tan^(-1) 1/2 as slope is equal to tan^(-1)a(x)/g . But here there is vertical acceleration does it affect the slope . Any help is appreciated

Hi, This is my first time posting so... hi Anyway, I have a question (which you may have guessed). I am writing a book/story which is about life on another planet and i am trying to keep it as scientifically accurate as possible. One thing which i need to know is; Is there any gas which is combustible in an atmosphere with no oxygen? Or even any substance? I'm pretty sure you will all say that all combustion is, is the rather hot, oxidising reaction which we see as a flame. My question is really asking however, if there was an atmosphere with no conventional earthly fire, could something at least resemble it or would i have to create something? I have to stay awa…
