Im sorry if this could be a pathetic idea, and please correct me if there's a problem. If we hide the identities of presidential runners, would people double think on who their voting for. People wouldn't think of race or gender, so their forced to listen to the presidential runners words, skills, abilitys, etc. Viewed Equality. Also this way, the runners can't play their gender and or race, as a playing card.

The Iowa caucuses started. Who do you think will be the winners in each party? For those that don't know, a caucus isn't a voting situation. It's not a five minute thing where you go in and write your name on a piece of paper. It's more like in cartoons when someone really draws a line in the sand and everyone picks a side. The doors close at 7pm. At 7, everyone goes off to their candidate's corner (if they're not undecided). A preliminary count is done. If a candidate doesn't get a certain percentage of the people, they aren't qualified to caucus and their people enter the undecided group. At this point, the debating begins. Everyone tries to get the undecide…

It now appears that the perpetrators of several co-ordinated attacks in the French capital were indeed Islamic fundamental terrorists. My deepest sympathies for the French people. I was almost hoping the violence was due to wacky global warmers ( yes there are some of those ) ahead of the global climate summit in two weeks. These actions will just ratchet up fear in Europe, and the people who suffer most will be Muslims trying to flee Syria and ISIS. I can see a lot of borders being shut in Europe at a time when these refugees need help. Charlie is crying again.

Which country do you think is the most serious geopolitical and military rival of U.S. and who will be in 20 or more years? Which country should be the main concern of U.S. strategic institutions?

Today, SCOTUS announced that they're leaving the assault weapon ban in place. Do you think having more mass shootings than days this year had any influence in their decision?

Turkey has shot down a Russian war plane that violated it's territory airspace. Turkey has called for an emergency meeting of NATO over this issue and Russia is of course screaming innocence and reportedly Putin is somewhat less than happy. Any thoughts on how this is going to play out ? Personally I think the situation is quite dangerous and could prompt armed conflict with NATO and of course the US as well. Thoughts?

There is a world-wide religious tyranny going on without most people aware of it. Atheists and agnostics must keep quiet while the religious spectacle is played out, over and over. People are forced into religion at birth. I remember Ronald Reagan saying "Freedom of religion does not mean freedom FROM religion." Sounds like everybody should join some religion or not be a good person. Let me explain using my own experience with the religion of my birth, Catholicism. I was raised by good, devout Catholic parents who stayed together for 50 years until my mom passed away at age 86. In grammar school we learned the Catholic prayers. Among these prayers are the…

Thread, "China claims most of the South China Sea, through which more than $5 trillion of world trade transits every year. Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, the Philippines and Taiwan have rival claims." Was from an article on U.S planned missions to fly within 12 miles of the islands China is building in the South China Sea. All the talk is political in nature, in terms of who has sovereignty over the area. I am wondering what the biologists think about island building. How is it done? It seems China would have to mine the close to the surface coral from nearby areas to gain the material with which to build up a target area. Would this not kil…

This was a shocking revelation for me when I saw Fareed Zakariah interview a scientist about this. Fareed went on to say almost all the republican candidates express a disbelief in evolution. "Dr. Ben Carson...rejected some of the fundamental tenets of Darwinian evolution as "incredible fairy tales," asking how could "something come out of nothing" or "life evolve from non-life"? He also stressed that mutations in species tend to "degeneration," not improvement, and emphasized that "there are no intermediate species" to support the theory of evolution." http://www.cnsnews.com/blog/michael-w-chapman/ben-carson-evolution-life-evolve-non-life-incredible-fairy-t…

So many congresscritters spent the last 8 years making Obama a one termer, could Obama run for a third term or would they notice. They've enjoyed so many successes recently, from un-electing Clinton to "re" electing W, do they really care about constitutional democracy anyway?

I'm a Scottish scientist and I'm in big trouble! I'm on trial for my @ peterdow tweets Trial date - Aberdeen Sheriff Court, 4th November 2015 The tweets I posted on my @ peterdow Twitter account in July 2014, two months before the Scottish independence referendum, employed republican political rhetoric to try to express in the strongest possible terms my political support - for a republic to replace the kingdom and for an elected president to replace the monarch as head of state. I link from my @ peterdow Twitter account to my Scottish National Standard Bearer website at SCOT.TK where I dutifully explain the reasons why the people of Scotland would do better, be safe…

The Constitution we have now was ratified with the Bill of Rights in it. All Ten. They were included because many people were balking at ratifying the new Constitution without those specific guarantees. The original proposer intended them to be part of the body of the Constitution, not amendments at all. The fact that so much of the advocacy for gun has to be corrected on basic, simple fact - ordinary statistical analysis, the meaning of the word "militia", the circumstances of history around the Constitution and since, over and over and over again - is telling. The problem that strong central governments disarm their peasantry to prevent defiance against m…

Do you think they are presenting a narrowly judgemental and corporate viewpoint against those who don't agree with unfettered movement of migrants within Europe? It seems to me that they have taken a stance and are now using all the coporate machinery to emotively influence the political landscape on this issue. Here's a link to the current BBC page: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news

I have seen a lot of news pertaining to the lack of female participants within the STEM fields, and I was wondering why this is. Am I making an unjustified generalization of females simply based on hyped news? Or is this a real problem? Are there any major factors involved in this trend?

The first labor strike in the New World is made by.. Poles.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamestown_Polish_craftsmen https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1619_Jamestown_Polish_craftsmen_strike "The Jamestown Polish craftsmen's strike of 1619 occurred in the settlement of Jamestown in the Virginia colony, and was the first strike in the recorded history of North America. Polish craftsmen had been brought to the colony by colonial leader John Smith to make glassware, pitch, and tar. When the colony held its first election in 1619, the Polish craftsmen were not allowed to vote, and they went on strike on June 30, 1619. Due to the economic importance of these craftsme…

What do you think of Donald Trumps remarks about Mexico? From what I can gather he said something like "Mexico is sending a lot of bad people across the southern border" not that Mexico is a country of bad people. The SMUGGLERS are the bad people, they are the rapists, murderers, and other criminals. Right?

Is it easier to eat with one chopstick or two? This simple thought experiment helps explain the methods of professional manipulators of popular opinion. To elaborate, an issue is chosen and polarized using various methods of propaganda, leading the majority to enlist in either of two camps, both of which are effectively controlled from the top down, usually by the plutocracy. Issues not selected by the plutocracy are literally off the table and exempt from scrutiny and public consideration.
