  1. For a TV veteran this is simply unbearable. 10-15 years ago Discovery Channel, Science Channel etc. all showed content that matched the purpose those channels were created for and was fun to watch. Now both of these show mostly some BS about cars, explosions and guys making moonshine... where is science in all of this!? The Science Channel is the least affected by this phenomenon but Discovery Channel is a completely different channel than what it started. The worst case is, arguably, History Channel. It was once obsessed with WW2 but at least showed historical content. Now it's schedule is completelty dominated by programs about aliens and tough guys in rural Uni…

  4. I met my fiancee 2008, and we're getting married in October 2017. Each year since the first year I met her, I've become increasing resentful and flat out disgusted with her family. For starters, my fiancee is an artist, and is just beginning to make a business out of her work after 5 years of struggling. Her family pays no attention to her at all, and yet they praise their drop out son whose a drug dealer (for which they already know..hes been arrested twice) and "bought" a portion of a landscaping company, so now he's a "co-owner". They act as though he walks on water. They're racist bigots threatening to disown her older sister for dating a black man, and no offense to …

  6. my friend and mom thinks we should all be intuitive eaters. I dont agree with intuitive eating .which is the notion that people crave the things their body needs and you should follow what your body needs. i just feel like no one agrees with me on this point and i feel like im weird. there is a disorder called pica http://www.webmd.com/mental-health/mental-health-pica it is a disorder where you crave things that are not nutritional. I have family members that loved eating candy but they need to eat something else to stay healthy, and you have to force them, they dont like most vegetables. The site only said what percentage of institutionalized people have pica. I am wond…

I know the Canadians cyber stalk me and have for years and it's like dealing with an epic retard group of people. No matter where I go on the Internet and try to talk it's like the same puny minded degenerate personality showing up within minutes to slather it retardation all over everything I do. It's so irritating to have delusional, stupid molester creep retarded unwanted Canadians force their unwanted pig existences to be a part of reality. It's so irritating. Just imagine an ugly, insignificant, unwanted, degenerate, retarded, mutant, freak pig trying to talk to down to someone better than them in every possible way. You people are scat eating creeps that…

Has anyone here witnessed events on divining; failed or successful ? Bring your story. Some municipal water companies have their 'expert' along with the electronic equipment operator to search for leaks. What is behind the smoke cloud and mirrors worth evaluating? Once I had in my hands a device (very well made) to 'detect' gold, silver, and... paper money. The 'instrument' was not cheap, with a user manual with a weird explanation of principle of operation using some 'solar rays bounce detection' A scam/ripoff/whatever ? that had its believers. Found some pictures : ----> http://simmonsscientificproducts.com/images/pmr2_power_tube.gif ----> http://simm…

Is there a reason that nobody (that I know of) has ever attempted to complain or eliminate support and media non-electric automobiles and motorcycles riding next and together with bicycles on competitions; injecting their exhaust fumes to athletes that are exerting intense physical extenuation ?

This is really easy to understand so please don't waste my time trying to convince me I'm wrong. A child could understand this stuff. There really is a being(s) here that is able to change aspects of reality. Photos, text, objects etc. it's been doing so in artistic ways for me for years since I notice the being. Here's some pics of its art. Some stuff is hard to see and it did so on purpose. Others, like the recent pic of a primitive primate head cloud are simple to see. Instagram.com/chrisbb287 It's not a joke. The being(s) are using some means to mind control life including humans. it created a language story with real people, including myself, and has been…

To me this is news, but it isn't new. Don't know where to post this thread. This factory is, I think, one of the first; more are being made. 50 units/day*365 days/yr=18,250 units/yr 2001 to 2016 is 15 years 18,250 units/yr * 15 yr = 273,750 units

Have you ever had need? I did recently for the first time in my very long years. Although expected, what an odd experience it was to be without memory of some mental and perceptual experience while under. It was oblivion, which was quite unlike the sleep and dreaming state I study and enjoy. It was, perhaps, a taste of the blissful hereafter I've imagined--nothingness. It's odd I wasn't interested before now in the affects of anesthesia on the brain given my interests. If you were ever unlucky to have had need for general anesthesia, what were your perceptual experiences if any?

Once in 1999 i was busy solving mathematics and physics theories and numericals...suddenly i realized that someone through my mind is overlooking through my eyes what i was doing. So i asked who is it? And the reply came as a american businessman in his 40s with cool american english accent was studying me. At that time i was only 17 year old and he said he was with his colleagues. He praised me for my intelligence and problem solving skills. He then one day did a advanced telepathy mind simulation with me. Said that i would give you a suitable mind moving pictures and u have to see it yourself. He asked me to hold something in my hand. And two hands appeared in front of …

Have you seen the movie "enemy at the gates" in this movie there is shown that soviet russia is at war with the east germans. So in this movie depiction the ruins seems just like bombay industrial age ruins. So i postulate a theory of time shift, where some society races do some time shift. Like lets say the sci-fi movie named "aliens2" wherein it seems the scenario and creation artists state that the movie was created in year 1977. But the artefacts and science things are of the years 1992. So the movie makers seems like they portals time travel technique to reach back in time in year 1975 and made a movie there becoming age reversing but with advanced things. Saying…

hi, ( I think)I have created a new style in (popular) music.and I believe my voice is special and great. but as you see all these are subjective. to be objective these needs to be certified (by any music publishing association) but I am unsure whether it would be possible to do it under one rule below (this is one of my principles) -->> I can not sign (giving signature) to any contracts of course ,this is relevant to payment. these days I have too strict economic problems . but I am sure that I have highly creative personality. really I am unsure whether using the music will make me gain money, too. thats why already everyone prefer using internet to reac…

  16. I had a conversation a while ago with someone who regularly viewed pornography, who was of an age that the internet has always been an integral part of their lives. It transpired that what they viewed, in the various styles and approaches in them were things to emulate themselves and had bodies to aspire to which were outside the norm; like supermodels, only often surgically enhanced. The overall theme I got from them was that what they saw depicted was what sex should be like in real life; seen as sex education videos, I suppose. I’m sure this perception is replicated amongst young people the world over. What will be the longterm effect on how such individuals…

Is it physically possible to have a superhydrophobic effect that repels specific liquids (such as acid) and not just water? I'm posting in Lounge and not science because I was thinking about a specific scene in Terminator Genisys and it got me wondering. Then I thought about if a mimetic polyalloy Terminator could render itself invulnerble to a Xenomorph alien's acid blood by reshaping its surface to be superacidiphobic (or whatever the proper term may be)? I guess we could just invoke the "magic technology" trope but suspension of disbelief has to be drawn somewhere.

  19. I was listening to an interview, I can't even remember whom it was with any more, but he was talking about how much rougher the army used to be and he said the drill instructor would read your GFs letters to everyone to humiliate you and build your chracter up, and I thought, that's quite rough in terms of privacy, but why would it be humiliating? Was this really a common practice? What is the point, how is it humiliating?

Maybe some of you were born after those missions or were to young at the time. I just want to share the feelings I had at the time. I was startled by the complexity and diversity of our solar system. All those worlds so different from each other inside in such a tiny little bit of the universe made me realise that Shakespeare saw it all hundreds of years before. " There are more things in heaven and earth horatio than are dreamt of in your philosophy " In the Universe the complexy and beauty of all the things are beyond our most wild imagination just for the small sample in our little corner. After all those missions proved that all those scifi writers were rig…

This article is a bit goofy but the fish and the pictures are awesome! Do we have any native fish enthusiasts on Texas? Ever encounter these fishes? I think they are related to Flathead Catfish but their underground environment has changed them considerably. They are occasionally brought up out of wells, such fish cannot be sent back due to the way the wells are constructed. Breeding them would be quite a feather in the cap of the breeder! https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/jun/19/blind-catfish-discovered-texas-cave-mexico Do we have members from Texas who are familiar with this fish?
