Speculations Forum Rules

The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:

  1. Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
  2. Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
  3. Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.

The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

Unfortunately I have been unable to find the material I needed to cite in regards to the experiment which took place decades ago with two gigantic metal plates. Fortunately I have found these ubiquitous tiny little metal plates instead. These bits of metal are used by metal heads ( they're geeks after all) or machinists. These bits of metal are used to calibrate micrometers and such and are called gage blocks. When rubbed together under pressure they stick together. When a perfectly flat gage block is placed on a perfectly flat table the block will float around on the table. The Vander Waal force explains the sticksion part of the problem but falls far…

  2. I can explain every physical property with rotation, i think i have the theory of everything. Everything what in movement is, exists only through Rotation. I hope you understand it, because all other is wrong. I explain some things. Look at the heart of your body, when you think it does not rotate, then open your hand and close it, to a fist and what do your hand? The joints of your hand are rotating, it is the same with the walls of your heart. You can find the same at your lung. Wheels are rotating, motors have his function only with rotation, jet engines is working only with rotation. The planets are rotating, the sun rotates and the galaxys are rot…

  3. The law of conservation of energy in mechanics in its present form is the greatest mistake of physics during its entire existence. This error arose because of incorrect assumptions made more than 300 years ago by the Cartesians and Gottfried Leibniz. Correction of past mistakes is always the most urgent issue for any science, especially in the theoretical and methodological terms. 4. Hi, I have in the idea that the decrease of the temperature of the universe and the expansion of the universe are compensated exactly in terms of energies and propose the following calculations age of the universe (recombination) 378 000 years, with temperature CMB T1 = 3000 K, redshift : z1= 1 100, radius observable universe : R1 = 3.96*10^23 m age of the universe today : 13.797.000.000 years, with temperature CMB T0 = 2.725 K, reshift z0=1, radius observable universe R0 = 4.36*10^26 m and [latex]H_0=67.74[/latex], z1=T1/T0 z1=3000K/2.725K=1100 R0 = (1+z) * R1 , V1 = 2.59 * 10^71 m^3, V0 = 3.47 * 10^80 m^3. If i can deduce the earth is in a special spot in the cosmos surely some of you that post here regularly have as well. I do feel i am a pretty bright guy but honestly this was not that hard for me, nor should it be for anyone else with an inquisitive mind. What id like to know is how haven't more people come to the same conclusions i have? Like i stated above i do think i am bright but surely there are lots of people as smart or smarter than me who easily disregard the notion we are cosmically significant. I think most of it is people taking for granted long held beliefs and not bothering to do the research for themselves on the what and the why's that got a pe…

So before i explain, let me start out by saying i am not a scientist by any means , I understand the logic of things but not always the mechanics, I have seen many claims concerning perpetual motion and free energy and have no desire to be pigeon holed as such, so , to be clear this is just an idea i had that seems to make sense logically but the mechanics are unclear. Based around the principle of the magnet falling down the copper pipe, but using a hollow copper torus for the magnet to fall down should logically generate, as long as its in motion, a repelling magnetic field, if this can be turned into energy, which i believe it can then that energy could be us…

It expands in quanta. se =Space Expansion, pt =Planck's Time and ps =Planck's Space (defined as the minimum increment by which space time can expand) Dark energy and Dark matter dont exist. The ratio de/dm is a constant. Mass 'moderates' se defining the geometry of space time gravity is described as g ='mass moderation' of Apologies if I'm an idiot. Thoughts?

Cancer cured really.......Theory of Preserving Cells January 18, 2018 - Time the idea was discovered Do you know the concept of Cryopreservation? Were the scientist freezes the human body by -196°C which will help people sustain of good health. By this concept the cells in the body are now frozen. As we all know cancer cells multiplies faster but, the only thing that can stop the multiplying cells is the Cryopreservation. By slowly removing the frozen cancer cells we can slowly cure the human by its problem. Comment for improvement. Thanks!

  11. The biggest discoveries in physics Hello. I am Oleg Gorokhov. TheOlegGorokhov@gmail.com I made a series of the biggest and simultaneously simple discoveries in physics. These discoveries are so big that they completely change our understanding of the universe and give us access to new colossal clean Energy. This text is presented in such a way as to be understandable to everyone. You are able to understand this yourself. Trust yourself — your mind. Believe in yourself. Discovery #1 The New Concept of Work and the New Concept of Energy. The New Universal Formula for Work and Energy. The New Unit of measure for Work and Energy. The blind pushi…

  12. I know this has been discussed a bit, I myself was reading the article about the relativity dispute: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relativity_priority_dispute I just wanted to understand maybe in greater detail, what did Pincare's theory not predict correctly, (except the E=mc^2 part, which off course is no small detail). I am not asking about a comparison between the two (regarding reference times), I am asking what would the theory incorrectly predict.

  15. Hello. Recently I’ve made a series of the biggest discoveries in physics. First of all I proved the erroneousness of using the Joule as the unit of measure for Work and Energy and the erroneousness of the “current” formula for Work and Energy. Please, read about it on Medium: link removed (3 min read) link removed (5 min read) Also, please, read “The biggest discoveries in physics” on Medium: link removed (30 min read) These discoveries completely change our understanding of the universe and give us access to a new colossal clean Energy. I will answer all the questions that arise.

As introduced, special relativity provided an account for the results of the Michelson–Morley experiments. Einstein's theories for the photoelectric effect extended the quantum the…

Okay I don’t have a scientific background but a question that has bugged me for weeks now. if we travel the speed of sound and an object was dropped, the sound would never catch us right? could this principle be used for light? this later lead me to research a lot about black holes as originally I thought that a black hole could just be the end of light. However over time I reasearched into black holes, if we have a force such as electro magnetic force which is considerably greater than gravity then this could affect light in ways which we see. Therefor it took me on a learning experience. What if electro magnetism created the dark m…

Perhaps dark energy/cosmic expansion is simply an affect of a big crunch? Allow me to elucidate: When a 'crunch' condenses below its Schwarzchild Radius, I propose a duality is formed, being the Lorentz Transform imaginary (complex number) values associated with <Sr distances. We know time = 0 at an event horizon; therefore, beneath this 'boundary', t becomes a dualistic positive/negative ..... basically, the inner convergence co-manifests as retrograde, outriding expansion. This suggests our universe may indeed be cyclic /wavicle like, and delightfully explains why the expansion rate is steadily increasing, as the condensing crunch would produce exponetially increas…

  24. There are the lower, basic emotions such as a feeling of excitement from getting a new movie, feeling sexually aroused, or a feeling of panic from being in a dangerous situation. I think we call these emotions the instinctive emotions. These emotions are actually the perception of value. In other words, they are mental states where we perceive things, moments, people, and situations as beautiful, horrible, good, bad, or disgusting depending on which emotion we feel. I have come up with a formula that attempts to translate emotions into value. Our pleasant emotions are the reward wanting and liking in the brain. When you want and like something, this means it …

For years I believed Positive and Negative were the main Duality of this world. Recently however, I begun believing Male and Female is the main deeply rooted Duality. Male and female does NOT necessarily mean Man and Woman in this case. Including Neutral, everything we do or experience falls under one of these three categories. A Star is the symbol of the Female while a black hole is the male symbo; one is to give in abundance while the other is to take. F attuned people are friendly and work together with other F people and is the modern style. M is more about competing with everyone and everything demanding domination, older style. In other words, what I the…
