Speculations Forum Rules

The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:

  1. Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
  2. Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
  3. Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.

The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

I never knew what c was until just recently. I've been taking it as meaning the maximum speed for everything lately, which would make sense to me. (My strength is in my weakness). That being said, is there another way to get from point A to be B? The answer is yes. I call it focussed unirepelsive spatially parametric discharge, and as long as you maintain a unirepelsive field that is greater than the size of the object traveling, then the object should travel through the empty space to the point of interest free of inertia until it needs to decelerate. The absolute cure to inertia is still unclear. A substance with unirepelsive properties would be one tha…

Age-old rivalry of the two camps has created an ideological trench mutual misunderstanding of reality: Relativists never failed to causally explain the existence of such as limit velocity, nor known dielectric properties of "emptiness" - the vacuum. In contrast, supporters of the ether are unable to causally explain its two apparently antagonistic properties: the ability to transmit electromagnetic waves also the highest f…

Our responce to music is different than if we were to hear a random assortment of noise but why? I don't know the answer and can only speculate as to why we respond to music the way we do. Could it be because sound travels in a wave, so when the wave has a pattern and is symmetrical we recognize differently than a random wave? Humans are wired to recognize symmetry and patterns so could this be relevant when we recognize a sound wave? I'm not saying this is why we like music only asking if theirs anything to it and if any of you know why we like music so much.

It has to do with DNA stability and is a risk reward probability, not a definite. LOL. You didn't understand anything. Folic acid is the synthetic version of folate. The research says... 1) Synthetic(man-made) folic acid is one of the causes of cancer and aggrevates the cancer that is already in the body. 2) A deficiency of natural folate from raw edible leaves causes cancer. 3) Natural folate from raw edible leaves reverses cancer; along with all the other powerful anti-cancer nutrient…

  6. In order to explain the acceleration of galaxies, an observation which is the opposite of what Big Bang theory predicted, cosmologists have invoked the existence of a mysterious 'dark energy' which is drawing all the matter in the universe towards it. No explanation is given to explain what this newly postulated force of nature is, or how it exerts its effects. It is simply yet another 'fudge factor' that has been introduced to keep the Big Bang show on the road. However, an alternative explanation might be that the galaxies are under the influence of the only known force of nature capable of causing such acceleration - gravity. This would require the existence of a super…

Orch OR is of particular interest to me, as it seems to provide an explanation for things that mystics in societies around the world have been writing about and experiencing for thousands of years without really knowing what was happening to them. The universal mystical 'enlightenment' of consciousness is standardized. There is a feeling of 'leaving the body' - and then dhyana commences which I can gladly cut through the bs for you and describe as a highly energetic state - that is like being an expansive sun and all it's sunshine expanding through the universe (subjectively). It's been my speculation that what may happen in certain states of Dhyana is to mimic th…

  10. According with Quantum Mechanics, the electron is moving in the potential field V( r ) produced by proton in a hydrogen atom, and r is the distance of the electron to the proton. At any time, only if the propagation speed of potential field V( r ) by the proton is infinite, the potential field acting on the electron could be expressed by V( r ). Clearly, that contradicts with the experimental result of propagation speed of electromagnetic field (light), as well known, the speed of light in the vacuum is finite, and is about 300,000Km/s. So, I think quantum mechanics contradicts with the experiment result of light speed, is that right?

My theory states that time is the length between two point. If there is no length, there is no time. Is that a contradiction? If so, why? I'll have to look into Lorentz equation, but it seems to be consistent with my observations.

Going of the basis that axioms are sets of laws or rules which explain or dictate the core relationship of mathematical concepts, it's got me curious as the whether there is any way of finding patterns in axioms or numerological systems that could create new axiomatic laws; Now from what i know of numbers this would seem rather impossible due to the actual reality in which the numbers are being used, so for example i'd have no way of finding euclidean axiom based on pure numbers per say because euclidic axioms are based firstly on the concept of the cortesian plane and secondly based on the concept of shapes (vectors, vertices, angles, Pythagorean laws etc ) which bo…

  13. The previously proposed new theory of Relativity of EM Fields assumed a constant speed of an observer relative to the light source. Now this theory can well be called Special Relativity of EM fields. As I looked closely into the new theory, I was disappointed at first when I discovered that the theory implied a variation of the speed of light for an observer in accelerating motion relative to the source. The implication of the theory seemed to contradict with the foundation of the theory. After some thought I found out that this variation of C to be vitally important because this gives the theory the potential to explain the results of those experiments that are claim…

  14. In the previous two posts on Special and General Theories of Relativity of Electromagnetic Fields, an alternative, more intuitive and logically consistent explanation for the absolute constancy of the speed of light has been presented, and a possibility of the new theory to explain those evidences and experiments that are claimed as confirmation of Einstein's relativity has been given. We know that the whole theory of Einstein's relativity is based on the two postulates. The second postulate (the light speed postulate) has already been divorced from Einstein's relativity. This post is about the first postulate. In this paper, the incorrectness of Galileo's invaria…

There are reasons I'm posting this in theoretical physics and not in speculations, and the reasons are two things, you can investigate this claim, and, it directly relates to spooky interactions. In another thread, I mentioned an established hypothesis in linguistics called linguistic intemporality. I decided to broaden the definition because it seems to hold for behavior altogether. The hypothesis is this. Given a set of particles (lets call them concepts), if they all have the same exact shape and structure, then they are the same particle (concept) regardless of their location in space or time. The reason this conclusion was drawn was because of an experience that …

I was "relegoing" the model in my head, stitching together new information with old and came up with this: I learned a long tome ago that it is accepted that the electromagnetic scale is infinte in both directions. And now I know that the space and time can expand and contract at infinite rates and that this is relative to a local perspective. Now, if we throw into the mix that many now believe that black holes have a singularity as a core. I can imagine that some of these singularities could be as vast and as limitless as our own universe. Well, I got to thinking that if this is true than a big bang scenario must fit nice and neatly into the realms of possibility t…

I kinda feel like this question has already been proposed and some psychologist has already shown the brain stores more information than our consciousness allows us access to but yeah, any thoughts on this?

  25. The universe is relative to thinking, and relative too who tells the best story, and is the most convincing with their logic. Time and velocity is relative to size of mass, and distance is relative to time. We are lead to believe that gravity exists, although no one can explain why it exists. To make a sphere to spin and rotate there as to be external kinetic energy to start that spin and put force into that spin. The only force in the universe, that can appear and disappear, and have the centripetal force to push mass together is a black hole. A test with a sphere spun at high speeds shows that centripetal force turns that sphere into an obl…
