Speculations Forum Rules

The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:

  1. Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
  2. Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
  3. Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.

The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

Please tell me how this hypothesis conflicts with reality. It was agreed on the thread "How can galaxies exist with the expansion of space?" that there are two distinct sources of the acceleration of stars and galaxies. One is the expansion of space and the other is gravity. The equation for gravity has to produce the force necessary to offset the expansion of space. The equation that works today will be wrong tomorrow because the rate of expansion changes. It would be difficult to modify the gravity equation to account for the changing rate because we really don't know how fast it is going to change or even why it is changing. That is why there is a "fudg…

A postrelativist theory is suggested. The theoretical result is in accordance with the experimental one, into this field. The relativistic physics that we use don't permit us to use speeds greater than the speed of light c and thus, the OPERA type experimentals results can't have a theoretical interpretation. The mathematical and physical interpretation of the OPERA type results is done with my theory presented in this paper "About the rest velocity V0", which permit speeds greater then c for particle bodies with steady-state mass m0. All the best, Turcu Vasile rest velocity.pdf

  4. Atoms are actually miniverses at their core lies a black hole the edge of an atom is moving at the speed of light therefore it appears to be a wave and a particle because u can't see into an atom unless u were moving at the speed of light then u could witness a black hole surrounded by particles. This is why when they did an experiment with shooting light into a single atom it came out of the other atom at some distance from the first. The light traveled through the speed of light layer as light moves at the proper penatration speed then entered a black hole in the center traveled through time space and exited the other atoms black hole and then traveled out into the …

  5. The latest geological conception of the genesis of karst terrains, published in respected Springer's journal Carbonates and Evaporites, suggests that the entire Earth's surface was covered with water about 5,000 years ago. The conclusion is derived based on the the analysis of depth of micro karst landforms (karren), which are by this concept, the only karst features formed under atmospheric conditions, i.e. by diluent effect of rain waters. The results represent a serious attack on scientific theory of evolution, which certainly could not happen within 5,000 years. i sometimes have this thought, one see's there are separate flows of times occurring within one flow of an over all flow of time. in other words time in time. if my time flow ( frame) can be separated from your time flow ( frame) yet co-exist in one overall time flow ( frame )in the same moment, does that mean the existence we experience appears to be not real . relativity is about time. now if we can separate consciousness from each other and have different realities, but yet co-exist in one whole reality in the same moment, what does that mean.

Time is the measurement of the motion ie mass and electromagnetic volume inherent in a moving object so the static field from wich one references these factors is always I would say a qestion until we can accertain the current speed of our galaxy within the universe. What we do know about time is it is modulated by mass and speed therefore it is a contollable and localized phenomenon based on this odes we can then extrapolate the variables that can control this motion and our time field is then a controlled mathmatical eqaution. As an example if u speed an object up to around 57.000 miles per second u would reduce the flow of time by 1/5 the mass and velocity of the …

Let us suppose the speed of light isn’t insurmountable, would superluminal travel have increments? As in star trek ‘warp speed 9’ and so on, or would any trip at superluminal velocities be instantaneous? Using the train analogy to describe time dilation, the photon has to travel further and therefore time runs slower relative to the observer, extending this analogy, when travelling at superluminal speeds light would never catch up, hence instantaneous.

  11. First a summary of previous thoughts... Since the time of Albert Einstein it is well known that space and time are related and can be considered together as a 4D Space-time. The assumption was when Einstein formulated his equations that there are 3 Spatial dimensions plus 1 temporal dimension of Time. But what is Time in this context? Einstein's Time is all about the abandonment of universal simultaneity of separate events. Different observers in different reference frames will disagree on the order of events they observe. He gives an example of lightning striking two ends of a train at the same time while those on board see the lightning strikes do not occur at the sam…

  13. Theory for cause of metastable state - Establishing causality in nature again - Wolfhart Willimczik 2106 72nd St W, Bradenton, Florida 34209 E-mail : Wolfhart@tampabay.rr.com Abstract : Searching for the cause of the existence of metastable states the author offers a first hypothesis: Nature will not start any process basically ready to start, but with several exact equal ways to go until one way distinguishes itself from all others by a noticeable value. An electron in an exited state, what has basically the freedom to choose any direction and any time of emitting light, will not do it by "chance", but only if a specific time and direction is given…

  14. Physicists describe Copernicus’s Theory ‘On the Revolutions of the Celestial Spheres’ as complete rubbish… Physicists summarised the theory’s failings by pointing out that, if the Earth really was flying around the sun, then there would be a great wind as the Earth rushed through the air. The physicists continued, “All you need is one failure of a model to prove that it is false, but if you want more…” 1. If the Earth really was spinning on its axis (as required in Copernicus’s heliocentric theory to explain the diurnal motion of the sky), then why don't objects fly off the spinning Earth? Since things do not fly off, the theory is obviously false. 2. If th…

  15. I've been pondering this question for a while. Is gravity a pushing or a pulling force? I've been going back and forth for a while, but I think that the evidence points towards a pushing force. Recently, I was thinking, ok how about the tides? Gravity must be a pulling force. Well, i just thought about it, and it would seem once again that I can say that it is a pushing force. If you think about the center of the earth, it seems that it wants to expand outward, which would be a pushing force. Looking at volcanoes, the earths magma pushes through the crust. If we were able to survive on a journey towards the center of the earth, I am absolutely certain that we would be pus…

Although there has been a vast number ov 'circles' recorded I am just discussing those that have appeared in and around Wiltshire , England. Out of those I am only concerned by the ones that can't be attributed as physically "man made" by someone on the ground . I want to concentrate on those where the bottom od the stems have been "blown out" , where residual EM radiation has been detected and where (but not in every case) small balls ov iron has been found . My theory is that these circles are not some supernatural, ET,derived but are made…

  17. The observation of entanglement is only easily explainable via one or more hidden variables. Defining the observed slowing of an atom clock when speeding it up as proving the slowing of time is incorrect. If it is only the slowing of the clock then speeds in excess of c for the observed need for such variables outside the SM and thus GR & QM must be assumed possible, as a most probable to be investigated possibility. And what does science already know then? That c is max? That time slows down? Incorrect definitions. Science doesn't know that. Yes for the SM c = max, indeed. The SM is filled with former hidden variables i.e. former unicorns. You as does a l…

I remember about 5 years ago i was reading a book on quantum physics on a holiday, it mentioned wave-particle duality, that light was a wave and a particle, but nothing could explain how it could be both at the same time. so i asked myself how it could be possible. I think i came up with a good theory, but my knowledge on physics and quantum physics is somewhat poor. i am good with chemistry, atoms, protons, electrons, neutrons etc, but when things get smaller, photons, quarks, mass and energy etc, my terminology gets a bit lost. anyway, i will give you my basic idea of how a particle can behave like a wave and particle, and you can laugh and shut me down, but it woul…

  20. Since I was 14, I found myself to be very interested in the science of attraction. Needless to say, that spark ignited the fuse, but by this point in my life, the fuse has died out. However, I have made a discovery. One discovery of mine was telepathy, and how it actually exists (you can't argue this with me, my mind is set, I've witnessed it many times). Well, taking it a step further, and applying it to my studies of attraction (mostly regarding NLProgramming and The Mystery Method, game theoretic ideas) I've experimented several times with telepathy and sexual attraction. Long story short, what I've done, and had positive results with, was literally having sex (or doin…

Hi Everyone, I am an EE undergraduate student. Recently, my friend and I came up with the following idea: What if matters are created based on EM-Waves? We know that based on de Broglie's wavelength, a moving object has the following wave length: p = h/λ so for an rigid and stationary object, we would expect to have close to zero wave length. Then, we decided to flip the table and say that: Objects are created by high [average] frequency EM-Waves, and they are extremely-well localized wave packets. My friends and I then attempt to give consequence of such postulate: 1. Matters are created by em-waves thus with its frequency exponentially decaying around them; spac…

Whereas if i go to a some distant european country my eyesight focals will automatically adjust to color patterns yellow, orange, green! So people in distant countries live in other color patterns and in india i live in contrast color core properties! Might be hocus pocus that the same people who visit india seem different when seen their countries!
