Russia has engaged before, so their targets don’t seem to think so.

They’re engaging in it now, too. Software security teams and the US officials overseeing this space have been openly conforming this. Servers of companies announcing they’d pull out of Russia have been inundated with parallel threat vectors, too.

Also burn is possibly a colloquialism for "use up"

Use up the fuel, so they can abandon the vehicle without it being an obvious dereliction of duty

Two high-ranking generals of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation have been detained in Moscow. According to Hristo Grozev (Billingcat) they appropriated several billion rubles allocated for recruiting agents in Ukraine.

I didn't find your earlier post where you wrote that there are more important things than rubles

Perhaps it's because I said no such thing. The only people to mention ruble/rubles in this thread before now are you, iNow and The Vat (assuming the search function is to be trusted)

Yes, I'm sorry, I confused your post with the iNow's post from March 2

Sometimes symbolism and protest is worth more than rubles, especially today

Captains cannot sell fuel, and generals can steal billions from intelligence, intended for agents.

I still see no relevant response to my query regarding relevance, but this has wasted enough bandwidth already so let's please move on.

Scapegoats..

Has anyone here watched Navalny's documentary on corruption?

Heroes in Russia:

Quote

An anti-war protester interrupted a live news bulletin on Russia's state TV Channel One on Monday, holding up a sign behind the studio presenter and shouting slogans denouncing the war in Ukraine.

The sign, in English and Russian, read: "NO WAR. Stop the war. Don't believe propaganda. They are lying to you here." Another phrase, which looked like "Russians against war", was partly obscured.

This may be relevant due to Russa asking china for help. If the video is accurate it would seem China's military is not exactly a fighting machine but rather capitalism at it's finest.

Her name is Marina Ovsyannikova, and she's been an employee at Russia's Channel One state TV, and she chose to interrupt a heavily watched news show Monday night. She's definitely a hero!

Yeah, but REAL bravery is obviously driving around with the express purpose of creating a traffic jam with a truck to protest a mask mandate that’s already been lifted. All she did was write on a piece of cardboard. #perspective

Might also be a cover story to sideline them while the FSB's internal affairs investigation moves forward.  The Kremlin must be rife with paranoia about who might turn / have turned against Putin.

The Ostankino court of Moscow fined Marina Ovsyannikova, who broke into the broadcast of Channel One with an anti-war poster, for 30 thousand rubles. (it's about $300)

Now it's getting Personal. Russia is Sanctioning Joe Biden and Hilary Clinton:

Hillary is not in politics anymore, and Hunter never was. Jen Psaki doesn’t make policy AFAIK.

And no GOP members/pundits on the list. I wonder if they get paid in rubles, will they continue to shill for Putin as the exchange rate drops?

The word "performative" never seemed more applicable.

Still...they might want to be cautious in their mega yachts if they venture too far North while vacationing in the Black Sea.

Maybe bc Russian soldiers are not happy about being asked to kill their cousins

Seems more and more to be the case. Putin might have not so much have overestimated his military's competence, as underestimated the decency of the average Russian soldier.

If humanity is going to survive long term we're going to need to realize we're all cousins, and we're all in this together.

He’s become pretty good at turning neighbors and family and friends against each other over small issues. It’s unsurprising he’d feel confident about being able to do it with his soldiers. Part of the issue here, however, is also that he’s been lying to them about why they’re being there and they likely resent seeing the truth upon arrival.
