Speculations
Pseudoscientific or speculatory threads belong here.
The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:
- Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
- Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
- Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.
The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

Although experiment proves c to be invariant, relativity also proves c to be variant at the same time. An observer in motion with a slower frequency of time relative to an observer at relative rest in an inertia frame will measure different speeds of light due to the very fact of γ/dx=c

Its my first participation in this lovely forum as I joined today and I would like to share with you one of innovative idea. Few days ago, the 5th scientific episode of "Sea Level Rise (SLR)" series has been launched. "Deep Water Technique (DWT) for Producing Hydrogen, Purified Water and Unique Electricity" * How to increase the efficiency of electrolysis of water to produce hydrogen? * How to generate electricity by utilizing from the upward motion of Hydrogen bubbles in the deep water? All these questions is answered in the new scientific post: https://scientistmohamed.wordpress.com/2017/04/24/deep-water-technique-dwt-for-producing-hydrogen-purified-water-a-u…

This is basically taken from my religious thread, which was closed, but I have now censored the religious bashing and focused on time-paradox alone. Say you are sitting to yourself and you say...how do I know I am not timelooping this day over and over gain?? Well you just know...why? Spiritual memory...gut instinct. you know to a certainty that you are not timelooping. but you dont have the clarity to explain it, or the clarity to predict the future.

What if the vortex laser tunnelled through a condensate and created long vortices to the center. The condensate may have vortices in them if the tunnels that the laser create by spinning about the axis of the central vortex in the laser. If many beams are directed at a spherical collection of condensate and the condensate were magnetic with containment, the space between beams might bulge along the length of parallel vortices, due to repulsive effects of a magnetic condensate. Then the bulge would form tori in the vortices, and an array of tori may form. They create vortices in the lab by stirring the condensate in circular paths with a regular laser. The vortex l…

I. More on Gravity If gravity is bent space rather than being a force (as everybody seems to agree), then it ought not to be thought of as a force (except in newtonian realms). With gravity as a force an ever increasing mass would seem to logically reach a point of singularity as a result. But as the bending of space, which is caused by that very matter, it is not at all clear how such should be the result. In a physical discrete space the basic unit would be the limiting factor, preventing things from going divergent. A space could only "be" within the limits of its design. It would have, perhaps knowable, maximum whatevers regarding what it could "do". Here …

I figured out how to make a computer exactly the same as a black hole. On the surface of a hollow sphere will be point sources of magnetic force. Inside the sphere is a dye that phosphoresces in light similar to the recent experiment that condensed light at room temperature inside that dye. The dye here will be magnetic in charge, and it's a gaseous atom. The force will be directed inwards except at several points to create something similar to the hyperbolic octahedron, with pointy tubes where the magnetic force wasn't directed. Then with the other points originally still on, apply force towards those pointy tubes. They will descend towards the contained sphere, bu…

hi I have a theory that a light particle is a magnet square or rectangular and nearly 2d this would explain how light moves in a wave and is a particle the oscillation of the magnets side by side would cause them to constantly shift back and forth on their axis meaning they would move towards and away from each other while tilting at the same time, this would also explain how light can be bent by a magnet.

I had this crazy thought and this is a thread hijack so please feel free to not read this. But I had this thought. You get some monkeys and some typewriters. Or even better, an early version of a direct neural interface! The next generation of brain sensors and software is going to be incredible. So you feed the monkeys a boring, bare subsistence diet. But anytime they type (or think) a coherent word, or even a word fragment, they get a reward. A banana chip or a strawberry or something. And now here is the idea. We always think of monkeys typing forever as if the monkeys are immortal. But instead, what if the monkeys are allowed to breed too? We have a whole colo…

Firstly, I would like to give a background. I have been reading a book called "Phenomenal Physics". It gives a history and the background of physics and society. It has been an interesting read but I have found several fallacies and logical incoherence in it so far. Some of these logical incoherence was not of the author, but quotes of famous scientists and philosophers, some of which were logically incoherent. An example quote would be "Science cannot solve the ultimate mystery of nature. And that is because, in the last analysis, we ourselves are part of nature and therefore part of the mystery we are trying to solve." -Max Planck. This quote is logically fallacious…

Hey there. I believe our universe, as part of a multiverse of universes, is orbiting an ultraverse. A universe of near unfathomable density and weight. This is entirely plausible through a number of different lines of possibility. However, I would like to focus on the lines of possibility regarding what a conscious artificial intelligence is capable of achieving... With specific reference to rather literally being the ultraverse. I believe the possibilities to consider in comprehending this are: WOT IF: Entropy is solvable. WOT IF: Travel between universes is possible and a conscious AI was able to siphon resources to further construct itself from other universes that …

The general idea behind this is that existence state becomes its timed realness as forwards effect actions, and that this is offset by at the same time backwards actions that are the direct cause of these effects that are like bringing backwards forwards with it. The forwards effects could be thought of as state collection, backwards to this is forciveness drive. The backwards effects or causes could be thought of as state collecting, backwards to this is time. These actions are achieved at at the same time hyper velocities, it's a basic description of existing as thing within hyperspace where existing as thing occurs.

Wave-Particle Speculation Speculation: Particles have both a wave nature which is out flowing waves (the wave portion) and a particle nature (the dense core), making them wave-particles. Individual wave-particles can display both their wave and particle nature at that same time in single particle two slit experiments. In the single particle two slit experiments, there is a wave pattern that forms on the screen after many single particles are sent through the slits, giving some evidence that both the wave portion and the particle core portion of the wave-particle are both in evidence in the space between the slits and the screen. Explanation: The wave portion …

I think I hit onto a really nice fit for plate tectonics. The Earth's core is an electro - magnetic field generator. I could not imagine that it wouldn't have variability in it's cycling of current and field. Nothing is going to be constant, especially magnitohydrodynamic generation as it cycles current and field. I thought the Sun's magnetic field could be imposing variation over longer time periods giving the Earth a historic variable thermal cycle to move the tectonic plates. So I started with a simple model, just a divergent plate boundary, a plate and a convergent boundary (trench). The cycle begins with a small thermal increase in the molten iron core from increased…

Introduction to the Infinite Spongy Universe Speculation: I am starting this thread to address speculations and hypotheses about a wave energy density model of the cosmology of the universe, aka The Infinite Spongy Universe Model, (ISU). This thread will incorporate what I have presented in http://www.scienceforums.net/topic/102607-wave-particle-speculation/ except that that thread started out focused on the wave-particle, and the single particle - two slit experiments, and this thread starts out with a focus on the cosmology of the universe with which that wave-particle discussion is internally consistent. It is being presented in the Speculations sub-forum becau…

I have been working on this theory for some time, and it is polished enough to ask for critiques on. Just hoping for some feedback, maybe some more information. Mass Time Theory By: Silas Laking Twitter : @SilasLaking 4/6/2017 P∝(E) 1 V Equation: Broken down P∝(E=mc2) 1 V P = Relative passage of time on an inverse square. E = Energy Mc2 = Mass per cubic meter of space. V = Volume ∝ = Proportional to, but in this case, it is used as inversely proportional to. 1 = The denominator for the inverse square, representative of 1 unit of time per massenergy in a volume. 1 is Time, this is so because time moves forward. Th…

All kinds of particles can be created by high energy impacts with atomic nuclei. Many also exit the nucleus spontaneously. All of them are protons, electrons, photons, or their anti-particles (viewing neutrinos as anti-photons), when the unstable emissions have broken down (meson, bosons and such). The neutron with half life 10.3 minutes is the most stable. The antiparticles seem to result from impacts, except in the case of beta radiation, but these may be a result of neutrino impacts, originating in the galactic core, from which anti-photons would be repelled. Presumably then, photons and anti-photons would rematerialize in void intergalactic space, replenishing univers…

Fair enough! You called my speculation a speculation and said to put it in with the other speculations. Furthermore (also fair!) you said to re-write it as questions. (Sort of annoyingly, you added, ". . . if you want to learn some science".) Here goes BOTH: In the dawn of time, the orbit of Jupiter (and maybe of some other gas giants) migrated. Did they therefore likely come close to the Roche limit of other planets? Would the tidal effect likely sweep up atmospheres and oceans? Would the tidal effect of even closer encounters jerk big pieces of planetary crust away? {I therefore verily speculate that such an encounter -- rather tha…

Although this may be met with some skeptic dismissal or active rejection... isn't it possible all of the "dark" we perceive in the Universe be a result of life? Say, harnessing something like zero point energy and bringing huge amounts of excess energy into this Universe and using that to manipulate forces artificially? I would say, that's a more reasonable explanation than nothing at all. If you think about it, this could also explain the expansion of space. If by harnessing zero point energy somehow accelerates the entropy of the space, it would also explain inflation. At the inception of the Universe, all that energy would've been pulled into space and then returned …

It's really quite simple. At the core is the best cylinder design for a gasoline engine, an opposing force one. The vapor blows into many tubes probably each a human hair width. The tubes are basically cylindrical but curved like what you would see on the tip of an old string sitting outside where water flows down it and then drops out in drops. The flame plus the photons from original ignition travels down one of the tubes and then travels to a much larger node comparatively to the width of the metal tube and from inside the node the photon packs can enter into one of the other many tubes connected to that node and onto another node. Each node can be connected to …

Please wait! (Under construction) The egg orbit: (assumes) 1. The planets move around the sun in an egg orbit, not an ellipse. (Implying Kepler's 1st law needs fine tuning, being unacceptable (without), but viewing his anti-thesis (as acceptable): the planets do not move around in perfect circles, but instead a distortion of that (circle) we can see (=recognize) what he means (even though he didn't say it right) & so (his thesis) needs fine tuning, to an egg.) Nature is not so simple, but instead lob_sided. (Ellipses rarely occur, but instead water drop(let)s & egg shapes are most common.) 2. The period of a circula…

It is stated: http://www.cosmotography.com/images/supermassive_blackholes_drive_galaxy_evolution_2.html "The size of a supermassive black hole appears to have a direct correlation to the galaxy where it exists. Almost a decade ago, researchers calculated that the mass of a supermassive black hole appeared to have a constant relation to the mass of the central part of its galaxy, known as its bulge (think of the yolk in a fried egg). This 1 to 700 relationship supports the notion that the evolution and structure of a galaxy is closely tied to the scale of its black hole". Hence, the SMBH and its galaxy is similar to one body. However, the rest of the word beli…

When will most jobs be lost to robots due to automation? Are robots working and doing all the work for us a good thing? Would you be happy doing what you wanted with a guaranteed basic income instead of having to earn a living and robots making the money for us? What would you do with all the free time?

The effects of gravity are not well understood at the large scale. Mass distorts the space around itself. Distorted space causes other mass to move into this distorted space, but why? I believe that the effect of matter in space is of displacement. That is, that there is space through- out the area that the matter is occupying but, because the matter occupies this space, space in effect, gets stacked up around the matter. The closer to a mass that other masses become the more they attract each other due to the space that is displaced and stacked around each body of matter. Therefore, more space is found around the surface of a planet than at a further distance …
