Speculations
Pseudoscientific or speculatory threads belong here.
The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:
- Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
- Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
- Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.
The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

"If you plot a fractal position for Z=Zsquare+C then you have automatically plotted it's entangled counterpart -Z=Zsquare+C." Nothing spooky about it. As long as you understand that; "one does not plot infinite particles in a three dimensional space, but rather you plot it's position on an infinitely repeating shape within realities natural fractal." First off, this ISN'T a "theory". Theories are high and holy and full of math that I don't understand. This isn't even a "hypothesis". It is what we called in the Army a S.W.E.G. (Scientific Wild-Eyed Guess). Lately a lot of Hot Jupiters have been found. That may be because they are the easiest to detect. Again, this isn't theory. (Theories are for people who know what they're doing. I don't.) PLAN A: They are near the end of spiraling down into their stars. PLAN B: They are near the beginning of spiraling up from their stars. PLAN C: They started there and they aren't going anywhere except around and around. Our own familiar Jupit…

The standard analogy of poker to QM: In QM fundamental particles exist in a superposition state in which all discrete combinations of properties exist at once. In poker, players must treat their opponents hand as an imaginary range of all possible hand combinations of hands that fit with the players past actions. Probability Theory: In poker, probability theory is limited in its accuracy due to it's inability to account for information lost in the muck when players hands are folded. This was something that probability theory had assumed to be too complex to be calculate. A few years back, I had managed to account for this missing information based on a simp…

I have a question about the analysis of the MM experiment presented earlier in this forum at the link: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/26262175/InterpretationMichelsonExperiment.pdf Has anyone ever done this experiment again, but with the use of glass arms of the interferometer instead of the air? If so, what were the results of this experiment?

F. Iron, Why 56? (see Organizing Principles) For atomic nuclei the component nucleons' environment is understood well enough. What is not known is just what nucleonic aspects demand what sort of complex organizing of the nuclei. (A leap of rhetoric is made here. If space had a shape, what might it be?) The question "why 56?" has been asked about the number of nucleons in the iron nucleus, and it is noted that 56 regular tetrahedra tile "loosely" forming a loose but 100% effective connectivity of "56" about an empty central slot. (Compared to "26" for the cube.) The issue is the total number of nucleons. The tetrahedron's dihedral angle is 70.528779 degrees, the arcco…

Dear Visitors we would like to introduce you our laser curvature experiments. We are looking for the curvature on the surface of the lake Balaton in Hungary with special laser technology to detect the supposed curvature on the water surface. How much is the curvature of earth on the distance of 77kms? (47.8 miles) 465 meters! (1526 feet) that means that an object this tall in one side of the lake must not be seen from the other side. Online curvature calculator: https://dizzib.github.io/earth/curve-calc/?d0=47.845581802249&h0=0&unit=imperial But is that assumption of GE curved water surface model true? We have conducted a series of experiments and surveyed …

Gravitational time dilation. The mechanics of the magic: Gravity is it's own anti particle. Mass accelerates graviton annihilation leaving a higher percentage of non-electromagnetic space, thus increasing the work load on the remaining gravitons that must vibrate at electromagnetic frequencies required by time thus dilating the field created. If this is true, Light, (all electromagnetic particles) is a gravitational vibration. and: Large bodies of mass have a smaller gravitational field than smaller bodies of mass and mass is most likely the product of condensed gravity in a once uniform field. If the theory is correct: Dark matter is little more tha…

I didn't want to hijack the Black Hole thread I was following, but something occurred to me. If we scale up the BH to an enormous size, our entire Universe could theoretically have crossed the EH and following a path to the singularity. Could that explain the expansion of space(dark energy) we observe in our Universe? And why Galaxies are racing away as the get further from our observation point and closer to the singularity? I have no idea even where to start on the math. I guess first would be to see how massive the BH would need to be? Then how space would need to curved so that light we see coming from he edge of our observable Universe would appear to be approaching …

I have come across a speculation regarding negative mass. Could it be a scientific speculation? Or, true mainstream scientists do not speculate about the possibility of physical existence of negative mass, because negative mass could imply repulsive gravitational interactions?

Much to my surprise it would appear that this idea is really a thing. I had no idea at the time, it just seemed to be... I don't know, the first time I ever saw that image it occurred to me that a big bang in the opposite time direction was necessary in some way... I know way to use conformation bias but I honestly had no idea anyone else had really considered it. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/2-futures-can-explain-time-s-mysterious-past/

Hey , Dear people, scientist, I was wondering how much is it connected to time dilation machine or a time travellers machine is relevant to Einstein's relativity........ I have done soo many years to build up a Time dilation machine.....and have done many experiments for it... And at last I have little bit found a question, that really how..do people in the society looks about relativity and time dilation...... And I need a more question my dear scientists, can anyone get a formula to connect this objects together "Two magnetic housing units for the dual micro singularities An electron injection manifold to alter mass and gravity of the micro singularities A coo…

I am curious what you (fellow forum members) speculate may be the reason(s) for the below outlined trend? "Death rates for white Americans ages 45 to 54 climbed half a percent each year between 1999 and 2013, researchers at Princeton University found using mortality data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In the previous two decades, the death rate for this group had dropped by 2% each year. Middle-aged blacks and Hispanics continued to see a 2% annual decline between 1999 and 2013". http://www.cnn.com/2015/11/03/health/death-rate-middle-age-white-americans/ Also from the same article: "This study also raises questions about why black and Hi…

Hi, So, I've just been considering some things lately. After a recent bereavement I've been thinking of what life and existence really is. For a while I've wondered if Reality is just a simulation. The theory is quite an old one obviously, but there are certain things that make me think this may be correct. I'll try and lay out a few ideas here, but please keep in mind it's 1am as I write this lol. Atomic construction; evolution of 3D rendering. So as you may or may not know, 3D objects in games/CAD/etc are generally constructed of polygons. Flat triangles (or sometimes rectangles) applied in such a way on a 2D surface (such as a PC screen etc) to give the impre…

If yes please prove it. All I observe is, gravitational acceleration "g is only an acceleration". That does NOT imply (only) "pull" to me. I get hints, it's (=the acceleration is) the opposite (direction), instead. Please clarify. Wiki's "Centrifugal force", says, "fictitious forces, like gravity, pulls.." If they are NOT real forces, then are they in the right direction, at all? E.g. Gravity is NOT a force? Wiki gives no reference to [1]: "The centrifugal force is an outward force (which I recognize as, only "acceleration", of mass) apparent in a rotating reference frame; it does NOT exist when measurements are made in an inertial frame of …

I can only think of two possible answers 1. YES. There is empty space and everything that exists in the Universe is surrounded by empty space/nothingness. In this empty space NOTHING exists whatsoever. No energy, no fields, no subatomic particles or sub sub sub atomic particles. ABSOLUTE ZERO ANYTHING. 2. NO. Empty Space does not exist and everything that exists in the Universe is connected. It is one huge ball of energy. These are the two possible answers according to logic, correct? Tell me if there is a third option. If option 1 was true then surrounding the Universe would be an infinite ocean of nothingness and between all the matter would be inf…

What is it? Wikipedia has an article on consciousness, which discusses various aspects of consciousness. However, I’d like to add my observations about my consciousness for others to read. Perhaps others have additional comments. "Buddhist teachings describe that consciousness manifests moment to moment as sense impressions and mental phenomena that are continuously changing." Our senses receive experiences simultaneously; in other words, the sights, sounds, odors, etc. assail all our senses at the same time. Moreover, each different sensation, such as sight and sound, experience many parts of a sight, sound, odor, etc. simultaneously. Our eyes see a changing…

If we define a variable a = b * c. Where b and c are independent, unrelated variables and b is not zero. Can we then say with confidence that if we change c, a will change ? If so, then why is it not acceptable to say that since angular momentum is defined as radius cross product momentum and momentum and radius are independent, unrelated variables that as long as the momentum is not zero, if we change the magnitude of the radius, the magnitude of the angular momentum will change ?

I have a theory that I think is the big breakthrough theory, and made a web page, have a look if you like and make some comments. https;//gregustina.wixsite.com/unifiedfieldtheory The Unified Field Theory, This theory introduces a new idea on how the brain works. Our current understanding would tell us that there is only one parameter in the likelihood that a neuron will fire. This parameter is met when the potential between the fluid inside the neuron and the fluid outside is high enough, then the neuron fires. In this new theory there are three parameters in play. The fluid parameter that I just mentioned, and the memory and sleep/imagination parameters a…

Science has given us, in the past century or so, tremendous advances in all sectors of human endeavours and understanding. But yet, in my reading I have found inconsistence in measurements, inconsideration of all influencing factors, in different subjects, and seeing things from only one perspective. I will start this endeavour by stating some of these things as I see them, in hope I may get some feedback from you out there in cyberland, and correction with valid reasons where necessary. I have chosen to title this The Facts and Fallacies of Science in hope it will receive more attention, not that I know all the facts or the fallacies... Take a look at the PDF I …

This is in response to my frustration over to much socialogical reality regulation and its placed anomoly configuration that creates a living mental and socialogical prison. down below is a pragmatic solution to hinder strict regulation with positive free radical law and its nuetral union with two major components of socialogical life, which is prime principal and natrual oppurtunity. Keep in mind this free radical algrorythm is a calculation in progress and has not been corrected, completed or refined yet. Exponential growth comes from a nuetral algrorthym and corresponding number or positive derivitive prime number of 1 or more which 1 is yes always quotant and con…

So I saw this video earlier today. http://www.space.com/32411-jupiter-hit-by-comet-asteroid-video.html Hypothetically asking, what would happen if an asteroid, that is going fast and big enough, were to strike into Jupiter and survive the ordeal, and pass right through it. Would Jupiter be the same? What would happen to Jupiter?

Strange, If pain has physiological causes, then it is telekinesis. If one atom has moved, a physical thing has occurred. I am saying this to describe the process to you according to what I think you believe, which is all pain must involve an organic process. I am willing to use another word, of course. But I think some might turn the thing around and insist an organic outcome must be called telekinesis. John, I did say so, later. The timing was bad when first asked. However, I later said a lot about what I thought it was. Check #66, middle of page. swansont, Exercise is a common procedure, something often recommended by doctors. A placebo…
