Speculations

Pseudoscientific or speculatory threads belong here.

Speculations Forum Rules

The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:

  1. Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
  2. Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
  3. Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.

The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

  2. This work goes back a few months when I was discussing some findings I had made concerning the supermassive black holes and the rotation curve. Most of the writing here was my own speculations, but below is also additional work from Matti on his blog concerning our discussions and how he views the findings within his own TGD (topological geometrodynamics) theory. I wanted to find evidence of black holes playing a torsional role on the systems inside of a galaxy in such a way that maybe there are relationships which bind the two and can explain galactic rotation curve phenomenon. The article I am about to link to, explained there are such relationships between…

While doing a search, I ran across a post about someone wanting to inhale hydrogen. Everyone was telling him not to do it (it's actually very safe if you stay under 4.6%). However, there has been a flurry of research in the last few years, mostly after 2007, showing the benefits of breathing hydrogen gas. The medical conditions it could help are astounding, and almost unbelievable. Like: Improves cellular hydration H2, like other gaseous signaling molecules (i.e. NO, CO, H2S), appears to have cell signal-modulating activity affording it with anti-inflammatory, anti-obesity, and anti-allergy benefits Reduces hydroxyl free radicals (main cause of aging) Reduc…

I like to know any intellectual thoughts or could some present me with any info on. If an object could travel free from earth gravity and allow in atmospheric travel by means of just earth spinning? I know this type of travel is not probable or could be considered impossible. I wonder what travel like this would be like. I have wild ideas about this subject. So I like to hear any intellectual ideas or info on this concept.

  5. There might be quite a different explanation for the phenomena of dark matter and dark energy. I've published an article on url removed It's called 'About Dark Matter and the Nature of Elementary particles'. It's about 16 pages long. Much more attributing articles can be found on the site as well. It's about knowing the properties of dark matter and therefore being able to deduce all other forms of matter. And also being able to explain why we perceive a phenomenon like dark energy and what it's true nature is. Hope some of you will have the stomach and the brains to read this piece of science, it could answer many questions and reveal the mystery of partic…

  6. I verified the MM all results found in wikipedia all sizes of apparatus up to 32 m of arm lenth https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelson–Morley_experiment I found that based on the motion of the earth the experiments can never detect the eather Even with a higher velocity that now we know earth is moving at (around it center , around the sun , and around the center of the galaxi .. ) A much bigger arms for Michelson–Morley (MM) apparatus is needed Please check out my calculation i verified it ten times https://www.facebook.com/AL.TANNOURY/posts/10159150148095532

  7. -Particles are entangled because a quantum state is entangled (like the spin of an electron). This can only happen because of some form of interaction. They will probably find several new ways of how particles or objects can interact to form entanglement...this will give more info concerning the range of separation in which particles or objects can get entangled at. -This concerns a model called Holographic Entangled Space time. According to this model...when you disentangle two regions in space then there appears energy which distorts the space...Energy is mass.(E=mc²) If this model is correct then there is a possibility that mass or energy can form because of the b…

What a strange question at this particular "time" <*gasp*> on this forum! </sarcasm> It would be prudent to give an answer, at this time. The definitive answer, one that does not require theoretical speculation: Our (humans) relationship to time is most commonly based upon a physical process. Time is known to us as some physical process: Earth's rotation (named "day"); Earth's revolution around Sun (named "year"); Cesium-133 oscillating at 9,192,631,770 cycles per second; _________ (named ____)<==fill-in the blanks with reliable, predictable, record-able physical process. Any other conceptions of 'Time' is, in my opinion, speculative, theoretical …

  10. In a universe, a realistic total entropy should be given as [math]dS = dS_{rev} + dS_{irr}[/math] That is, it consists of two parts, one that is the reversible entropy in a universe and the irreversible entropy. Now, if [math]V[/math] is the volume of a sphere, the rate of change of the volume is [math]\frac{dV}{dt} = V(3 \frac{\dot{R}}{R})[/math] The term in the paranthesis is known as the fluid expansion [math]\Theta = 3(\frac{\dot{R}}{R})[/math] The rate of change of its internal energy would satisfy [math]\frac{d}{dt}(\rho V) = \dot{\rho}V + \rho \dot{V} = (\dot{\rho} + 3 \frac{\dot{R}}{R}\rho)V[/math] If the energy density is replaced …

  12. Newton's "Action-Reaction" Law is mathematically incorrect and logically INVALID. If for every action there was "an equal an opposite reaction", no action would be possible. A force countered with equal and opposite force would cause NO net result. Newton's law is only true for ONE specific situation of collision of equal-mass balls. This law is actually: "For every action there is an OPPOSITE reaction that, varies from minimal to equal". E.g train hitting a fly will experience minimal reaction. A fly hitting a train will experience equal reaction. Do you understand that, a train hitting a fly is NOT encountering AN EQUAL reaction? Cowar…

  13. MAGNETISM 2 parallel wires at r distance, the free electrons in the 2 wires repel each other with force f=Ke x q1q2/rr, that force is the carrier of energy/moving electric force. if electrons accelerate in wire 1 at 3 volts, electrons in wire 2 will instantly have 3vq1 emf. the true mechanism of electromagnetic induction. same as momentum conservation. every magnetic atom/magton contains 2 atoms. 2 atoms of a ferrimagnetic matter before magnetize, we put it as 00. if 1 electron moved from 1 atom to the other atom and stays there as 01, the 2 atoms become a magton, it carries a special property now, we call it magnetic force. 01, 02, 03...0n are all magton, …

  14. I have posted a new paper on viXra that derives the Hubble shift as a relativistic Illusionary effect. This would disprove the accelerating expanding universe theory and eliminate the need for "dark energy". The paper also derives the mass/energy of the dark matter of M31, Andromeda, eliminating the need for "dark matter". As we cannot post links here, if you would like to read this paper and begin a discussion here on its merits, please search for the following paper: "Relativistic Derivations of Gravity, Dark Matter, the Hubble Shift and Foundational Particle Physics."

  15. We can dispense with that conception of 'Time' which we have built an entire civilization upon, our relationship to that construction. This thread is not about that subject. I do not know the exact date of this essay from which I provide an excerpt below. Albert Einstein was asked to "write something for The Times on relativity." The title is: What Is The Theory of Relativity? From the book Essays in Science, published 1934, by Albert Einstein, page 53-54: We can distinguish various kinds of theories in physics. Most of them are constructive. They attempt to build up a picture of the more complex phenomena out of the materials of a relatively simple f…

  17. A friend of mine believes in the flat earth theory, I know there is loads of "evidence" supporting the earth is round(ish), But he insists that all evidence has been faked, Has we do not live near an ocean, I wondered if anyone had any personal photos showing a boats sail coming across the horizon showing curvature? I showed him the video of the highest parachute jump to show the curvature of earth, but he believes this was faked/altered, if you stop video at 6.29 to 6.31 you will see the curvature change to an opposite curvature also at 7.38 upon landing the picture shows opposite curvature. Which he believes proofs the camera used was fixed to show a curv…

If rotation really should enter the picture, this would produce a torsion field which enters the equation with a negative sign. Rotation would not be unusual if we considered gravity as part of the full Poincare group of spatial symmetries which involves the spin and torsion (Venzo de Sabbata) also see Sivaram. For instance, Torsion enters the Poisson equation [math]\nabla^2 \phi = 4 \pi G(\rho - \mathbf{k}\sigma^2)[/math] Where [math]\mathbf{k}[/math] is [math]\frac{G}{c^4}[/math] and [math]\sigma[/math] is the spin density which can be calculated the following way: [math]\sigma = \frac{J}{V} = \frac{m \omega R^2}{L^3} = \frac{m vR}{L^3}[/math] so …

I have noted in the past, if a vacuum is not truly Newtonian and it does indeed expand (new space appearing) then there will be new fluctuations added to spacetime as well. Fluctuations can also act as the seeds of the universe to explain a primordial gravitational clumping, giving rise to the large scale structure, albeit, this uses the notion of some rapid expansion phase. We too have the same phase characterized by the centrifugal force the universe experienced when it was very young from a furiously fast spin. In fact, Wald and Harren have shown it is possible to retrieve the cosmic seeds without inflation. In their model the inhomogeneities of the u…

  21. Started by AbnormallyHonest,

If there's a Planck Length, then wouldn't it stand to reason that there would also be a Planck Volume? Now, if space was composed of these Planck Volumes there would be small units of space between these tiny spheres of undefinable space. Little tetrahedrons of space. So if these volumes are actually not definable, then wouldn't the space between them also be undefinable? The difference being that the Planck Length has a maximum, but no minimum, and the space between has a minimum, but no maximum, so the space between would just continue to expand. Which part of this model do you think we exist in? The 3 dimensional, fractal expansion?

  22. So we know that obliques are bending the space-time. But I have got an idea that the obliques doesnt bending the space-time, they are pulling the space-time to theirselves. Or we can explain that space-time is like iron and obliques are magnet. So if any obliques pulling fabric of space-time and cover theirselves with fabric of space-time, it will become parallel universe. I know this is madness but without any reasons I wanted to share this there. I dont have any scientific facts to prove it. Think it like a just an idea. I hope I can tell my idea with my not bad english. If I have any wrongs in grammar sorry.

  24. If we see the Universe’s rate of expansion as accelerating, it’s probably due to relativistic dilation due to apparent velocity. If we were able to approach lightspeed, time would “slow” down. So for every second that passes from that perspective, more time would pass for everyone else.So say we were moving at ~86% the speed of light, the relativistic dilation of time at that velocity would be ~50% of what others would experience. One second from both perspectives would be one second, but our seconds would be two seconds for everyone else. From our view, things would appear to be in fast forward … like people would move faster, the days would be half as long, as wou…
