Here is some important info from our president to help us through the Coronavirus crisis:

"Everybody that needs a [Coronavirus] test, gets a test.  They have the tests.  And the tests are beautiful.  The tests are all perfect.  Like the letter was perfect.  The transcription was perfect.  This was not as perfect as that, but pretty good...."

“I like this stuff.  You know, my uncle was a great person.  He was at MIT.  He taught at MIT for like a record number of years.  He was a great super-genius, Dr. John Trump.

I like this stuff.  I really get it.  People are surprised I understand it.  Every one of these doctors said ‘how do you know so much about this?’  Maybe I have a natural ability.  I should have done that rather than running for president.  What they have done is very incredible.  I understand that whole world.  I love that world.  I really do.  I love that world….”

It is funny to hear anyone say "I understand that whole world."

Look, I know it is amusing in a way an accident between clown cars might be. But underneath all that there is real tragedy and one should not forget that. The administration has cut funding to critical health and disease prevention/monitoring systems and the uncharacteristically slow response may be the result of that. It is not the first time either, NOAA, EPA and FEMA all are cut or in the process of being dismantled with serious consequences for affected folks (and especially EPA issues will only be visible when it is far too late). One can only hope that damages are still fixable but for now folks will suffer unnecessarily.

Comforting to know Trump knows so much...

...a lesser man might admit to having limits in a field he knows little about...

...which would not be good....not good at all. It would be a bad thing...

We are fortunate to have Trump in this time of no real urgency.

And now Trump has shutdown ALL travel from Europe to the US for the next 30 days effective starting this Friday

And just like that, he gets his travel bans. Expect him to pursue funding for the new Corona Wall.

We'll have to see how this effects Canada and Britain with Europeans attempting to route through to the US.

Farage has already been making typical moronic comments about the UK being excluded from the ban because "it is now an independent country"

If you want to bring in ALL the top virus experts, we should probably start a new thread. 🙄

I believe there is a strong correlation of exempted countries and location of Trump properties.

This disgusts me so much and on so many levels.

The Trump administration has reportedly attempted to convince a German-based pharmaceutical company to bring its coronavirus research to the US — and to make its potential vaccine available exclusively to Americans.

I read up in German articles in case of mistranslation and it does not look much better there. As usual nativism and cruelty go hand in hand (not to mention stupidity, as if nature adheres to borders).

On a related note, Trump denied to be responsible for disbanding a task force that would deal with pandemics (similar to what other more sucessful countries have in place). Not sure what is worse at this point. Not knowing what they did out outright lying about it.

False dichotomy. They're both horrible :)

Trump did shut down businesses even if it meant hurting the economy.

Trump bankrupted a casino and tried to build a wall against his neighbour and put an invoice (in crayon) though the letterbox, WTF does he know about the economy???

Hmm... which ones specifically?
