Pseudoscientific or speculatory threads belong here.

Speculations Forum Rules

The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:

  1. Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
  2. Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
  3. Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.

The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

Hi, I present below an alternative version (not a questioning) to the theory of general relativity in order to integrate the accelerating expansion of the universe, the dark matter and to solve the problem of quantum time. To do this, quantifying space-time is essential. It’s not an easy concept to explain. To do so, I will describe my approach below and have written an article for those who will be interested. There is a strong similarity (which is not obvious) between the energy of an elementary particle and the energy of a fluid in motion (describes the Bernoulli’s principle): For a moving particle, the energy comes from two sources: having speed and ha…

i suppose i could define it from the equation s=vt taking v as the velocity of an object under no external forces so next would be define whats space a space is defined as the distance between two objects but lets imagine there are just two objects alone in the whole universe distance is relative to ones size and how can i define distance if i dont define size for example if i slowly double the size of both objects APPARENT distance will be half than before i hope you see where im going how can i define the distance dimention if i dont define the size dimention? we are just assuming as theres no RELATIVE change in size theres no change in size at a…

Please, I hope you will be open-minded. If you must, please, in the very least read the following as a form of entertainment, but I am telling you the following is correct. I've been given a noticeable part of the New Physics. In another thread I've already provided a detailed radio wave sub-photon experiment that if replicated by notable physicists and engineers would cause shock waves through mainstream. Additionally I've built gravity devices that demonstrate the nature of gravity. Such gravity devices can detect motion through space without using accelerometers or known methods. In short, such devices cannot be explained with the standard model. There are two gravity …

  5. Why are we so certain EM packets travel physically as waves when not being measured? What if there is an invisible 3d lattice throughout the universe that an EM packet has to traverse when not being observed? When a measurement is made, the lattice disappears or morphs out of the way. If this turned out to be true, it would suggest a bubble of space-time, engulfing the experiment, is what would be changing dependent on a detector being used. I would be curious of multiple double slit experiments being conducted next to each other to see if overlapping bubbles cause anything weird in the results.

It's the uv. The moon is near the horizon more red, less ultra violet/blue. This is because particles in our atmosphere absorbe (a bit of the) ligth. It's due to the path of the ligth. It also has to travel a longer distance in our atmosphere so it is being absorbed more. So is it with the sun. Easy to understand this. It affects a lot. I have not thinked so mutch about climate change because I do'nt care anymore. They spend billions of dollars but didn't understood/know this and more. I will keep the rest for myself. But one I can explaim. Good to know. Flora knows that autumn has come from the more red less uv/blue and the shorter dayligths. I takes/needs/ab…

  7. I can explain but then all whould know/understand this. They explain it with balls on youtube on on childsplayground or with a plane but they theirselfes doesn't know/understand it. So any one who can explain this? If i explain it now, this topic would be moved I think. I will explain afterwards and I promisse even the average mind will understand the balls. Let's make it more interesting. In part one I will explain the balls and the coriolis effect. In part 2 on another topic I will explain the coriolis force and the gravity of earth. The upwards push low presure and towards pull (of the atmosphere) high presure.

  8. Speed is how fast an object move in this physical reality. An object can move because there is space around it. We know base on the teaching of G.R. that no object can travel faster than the speed of light or even the speed of light itself because it is the top speed which our reality limits. We also know base on G.R. that an object that moves actually slows the time base on the perspective of observer and it changes it's shape as well as it increase it's mass. Now the intriguing part of it is that base on my speculation, if an object happens to travel faster than the speed of light it actually disappear on the view of an observer.Another profound speculation is that the…

  9. Philosophical: time is an measurmentstool of us to set the past, live the moment and to organize the future. I know Einsteins aimings and what he did to prove his theory. He sended an atom clock with an plane and aimed that time on the surface will slow to opposite to the atom clock that is in an plane with HIGH SPEED. Back in 2014 I was a bit hyper. And had the thougth of all. The planets etc etc and was brainstorming about speed etc. I know more about time because I experienced a lot. When we brainstorm so mutch and fast time seems not to pass as usual. It seems slower. This is my theory and I know I'm rigth because I discovered mutch more with this: Tim…

Can a homosexual, become heterosexual? I think it's possible. I assert homosexuality is not genetic, but mental; that homosexuality, is an abstraction of 'human competitive nature'. Boys will be boys... "There is a woman, long lost, in every homosexual man's imagination". 'Human competitive nature' spans from small-scale to large-scale; for example, simple games, and then, war... The abstraction of, this nature, can be abstruse. The long lost woman of the homosexual man's imagination, is hard to keep track of. A homosexual man may find comfort in pure-homosexuality (where there is no alternative); he may endure a life, and sexual life, withou…

Preface Is science today blinkering itself with complexity? black holes, bent space/time, string-theory, multiverses and the search for a God particle. Possibly, are the answers more simple? Below is the only proposition I am aware of that postulates what gravity is, and therefore what Black holes possibly are, and hypothesizes 'Time' before the Big Bang. The Eureka moment came from an inversion of one of science's assumptions. If this inversion is proven correct, then out comprehension of our universe is also upside down. The proposal may contradict an accepted unchallenged theory, but it is provocatively logical' A UNIFYING THEORY There cannot be nothing. The…

Where is the north pole? Everybody knows that (or so I thought). To be sure, I pulled out my compass & the blue needle_end pointed north, the silver end south. (That) Seemed pretty reliable, till I gathered compasses together, & then they started pointing at each others tails, instead, when they were close together. Hmm? Now I was totally lost. So I looked at a globe & in the Arctic area at the top it said North pole & magnetic north pole. I pointed my compass at the globe, but the compass needle didnt budge (staying in the direction it was before). (The globe must have been made of aluminum or plastic, or something else). …

  17. The idea I had for this was to 'cheat' the geometry of how waves accelerate a particle by setting up an nano-apparatus which would distribute absorbed inertia such that the apparatus continuously accelerates into more waves of force. If possible, the major drawback would be that it wouldn't be able to travel in a straight line, and how it would fit into designs above the nanoscale is a head-scratcher. Another idea I had for long distance space travel (maybe not FTL, but relativistic speeds) would be to set up a solar-sail turbine with sort of a screw-like shape, which also has a strong electrical current running through it; as the solar sail reaches a relativistic th…

I previous threads I commented that Einstein explained differences in clock timing with time dilation. Since I don't believe time exists in the physical universe I proposed there is another possible solution. The weak and strong forces emit electromagnetic waves. Electromagnetic waves react with gravitational waves and I proposed that this interaction could be one possible explanation for the difference in clock timing. While there are some bizarre aspects to QT I don't think time dilation is ever used to explain anything. Here is my point. If QT doesn't need time dilation why should GR? Could this be part of the incompatibility?

Time is a big term. Let's say we divide time, like a measure(everything that happens) in a smaller measure = moments(everything that happens now). If a moment needs some force/power to happen, could we take out that force/power from a moment and then just "travel trough time" (example, in that same room but without "time running") ?

  25. Hello. I'm looking for scientist for serious project research. I have no idea where I can put those things into working but they are health related and energy related. Energy (Qi/Chi) seems to be ridiculed by science which is defensive behavior from maniacs and hoax. I did a lot of research on that topic (mostly practical) and I see big potential to change our future if we develop science to discover this aspect of ourselves and reality. Like healing, recovery of bones structure, emotion control (being always happy or always happy-pills, no suffering pills), using technology to create and project those things. I would gladly prove and show how to generate energy for d…
