Can a human being be magnetized? It has been suggested by some, that if we want to accelerate human beings beyond the 6-8 g's, at which highly trained fighter pilots black out at, that the only way to do it, is to turn the human body into a magnet, so that the human being's body will not be subjected to internal stresses and strains which would tear the body apart. Is that the only way to do it? Is that even possible? If it is impossible, what is the most rapid proof proving so, so that it can be eliminated from consideration? For whatever it's worth, I myself don't think this idea will work.

I am currently looking thru massive amounts of material concerning the mutaion of creatures big, bigger, and small. Mutations in the DNA seem to remove genetic information not slap on more, so in order for evolution to work, it must be adding relevant information to new enviromental factors that allow for the mutaions to rise. But since the DNA does not accomidate for random mutations what about protein? Could protein molecules change with the enviroment? could it be the protein that mutates first, then with its new Shape and information, add information relavant to the survival of the cell into the DNA thus altering the information encoded in the DNA? This thread is proposing the infinite-infinite universe where all conceivable possibilities exist within our infinite universe. This theory completely allows any contradiction within it's terms because that would be just another possibility (or combination) so a red planet exists and doesn't exist at the same time. Anyways the theory is COMPLETELY CONTRADICTORY and makes no attempt as to limit the contradictions. How do i know that i am me? How do you know you are you? Why and how am i aware of my surroudings? I DO NOT want the typical christian response of, "Because that is the way God intended things to be." This is not a valid response in my opinion. Is there some kind of chemical explanation for awareness? Does it have to do with having a "soul" (for lack of a better term). If so where does that come from? I'm just looking for some answers.

I was thinking the other night, as I usually do, and I was thinking about the possible reasons fo impossibility of time travel, aside from the usual blah blah about the space-time continuim and such. there aught to be a thread for this topic, so here it is. this is my pepetual motion machine. its in space, its a dounut shapped magnet. in the center is anohter magnet, same polarity. the dougnut magnet is place slightly offcenter on the horizotal plain, it is released. it should eventualy reach a equalibrim, but in zeroG and a vacum it could be some time, besides, tecnicaly in a true vacum that is near pepetual. im sure you guys can do better though. but dose anyone know what the current prize for a pepetual motion device is?

...that everything is made up of energy, right? When u break anything down to it's smallest, it's energy. So what the F? Apparently, when we die we still exist as energy so what h3ll is going on? I was reading here and there of how much chinese production in various industries continues to increase (textiles, TV sets etc). Could this actually be a clever way of indirectly creating world wide communism by overproducing everything and letting the prices get lower and lower worldwide ? Since they are a closed society with enormous manpower they could eventually virtually out compete almost everyone in every field. Imagine if they started exporting cars, furniture at the same rate of their textile industry! They could always prove that their communist system can produce unlimited goods for everyone therefore proving that capitalism is not the future ?

Has anyone ever heard of "cold-reading" techniques employed by "psychics" to "help" people (my quotation mark liscence is being revoked) talk to their dead relatives? It's a laughably simple way of making the victim of your hoax seem you are a genuine psychic. Through a series of rapid fire random guesses, shotgunning stuff like names and initials and using the victim's body language you can make it seem as though you really are (to the bereaved or gullible anyway) talking to and getting info from their dead loved one. Uh lets have a fun "debate". Assuming it is possible for telekinesis and telepathy to exist, which would come first evolutionarily? Would the evolution of the first eventually lead to the second evolving? Is the first a necessary prerequisite (a question similar to the one before but slightly different). Just to be clear telepathy = talking using mental powers telekinesis = moving stuff with your mind and just for fun we can add a few more psychic powers such as firestarting (there was a term I just forgot) or future-sight. with all the particle physicians smashing atoms into bits to try to find different particles which would perhaps explain different physical phenomena.. would it be possible that there exists a sort of "particle" which drives life? has anybody ever tried smashing a few cultures of bacteria to see if anything unexcpected comes out?
