...I feed them only fruit. I found over the years that while it can be difficult to get my kids to eat their vegetables, it's easy to get them to eat fruit. So I figured: why not just feed them fruit? Fruits are, after all, just vegetables with a higher concentration of sugar. ^ Is this right though? Am I causing my children an imbalance in their diet by feeding them only fruits and no vegetables?

How can one go about improving visual memory. Some people seem to have really good visual memory and other people terrible visual memory. Some people can look at image or object and it like the image is well burn into their memory remembering every detail vividly!! Other people look at image or object and forget. I did a visual memory test and did terrible on the test. I had to look at image for about 10 seconds and recall detail and well I did bad. Take look at the bird look at it for 5 to 10 seconds and recall as much detail!! Take image like this bird light blue, dark blue, really dark blue and red so on. www.vetbook.org/wiki/bird/images/8/83…

Well i got the puzzlement that drove me to start this thread from something YT said in a thread also concerning sex. While that thread was concerning the more questionable subject of carnal and lustfulness---- and yes i do think there is a scientific difference, my question is about sex in general of all types. Again there ARE different types because different emotions will be tied to different experiences. Physically of coarse, the same things happen, but i want to talk more about the brain. Anyway, YT said primitive urges come from the basal ganglia, implying that sex is a primitive urge, but is it really? We will always have it, the only other option really is clon…

  7. This topic is related to : ...As i red all the comments I felt there is a more precise explanation to this phenomenon. It is a self triggered sesation that can cover from the area of a finger to the entire body area. Thru exercise or "meditation" people say it can be controlled for different areas of the body, while standing up or down or even while walking. Some precise explanations: - fully covered muscle twich - the entire nervous system compressing and dilating - intense feeling of the entire bloodsystem - consciousness of body cells Some weird but pretty close explanations: - a wide web throunghout the body - a very …

Whenever I drink water I get a stomach ache, sometimes it makes me nauseous or I feel like throwing up. My family swears up and down that it's probably all the milk I drink and that I'm probably some form of lactose-intolerant, but milk never makes me sick or hurts my stomach it does nothing but make me feel better when I drink it. I felt dehydrated last night and nor pop or milk or gatorade was quenching this feeling, I felt like I was missing something you know and it was making me not feel very good. So I figured I needed water and I got a bottle from the fridge and started taking some drinks. I don't like the taste of water so it wasn't a grand experience. Within minu…

  15. I went to jail once. First night, a bug is slipped into my food. I bite into it. A black squid like ink burst into my mouth. I spit it out. Looks like a cricket carcass. There were 1 to two inch black crickets through out the jail. Later that night, I tripped balls. I saw hand tracers. The walls were breathing. Fake crickets were everywhere. I decided to sit back and enjoy it. It was like being high on lsd my first night in jail. I was curious if anyone had a real idea of what it might have been, keeping in mind this is south texas.

Listening to a back number of BBC Inside Science I was stopped in my tracks by the section which described solar panels producing more current when they were played loud /heavy rock music BBC Inside Science November 7th 2013 at 11.00 mins Most people usually believe the BBC but i wondered if somebody can confirm whether this is true or not? I am a retired musician by profession so am well aware of the therapeutic affects of different kinds of music and sound. I still work out every day (at 68) and find AC/DC, Metallica etc better than Mozart when working with weights. In contrast I play 'om' or Tibetan singing bowls when relaxing with less strenuous exer…

It will excite me like you couldn't believe to find more information!! I spend my life on this and my friends help me along the way! So without further ado.. If I'm trying to get over my caffeine tolerance by abstaining from caffeine, what would be the more effective approach: 1) When I feel tired, try to resist going to sleep. This way, the body will get the message: better adapt to staying awake since that seems to be the general rule. 2) When I feel tired, sleep. This way, the body will get the message: better try to stay awake more since I seem to be sleeping way too much. Or do neither have any effect on how quickly my tolerance goes down?

I'm not sure, because in one sense the doctor could be causing psychological trauma to the patient, while in the other case, the patient has a high chance of prostate cancer.

  24. Ok so this is not my strong subject however I need to understand it in order to write this one part of a neuroscience paper. I have been doing a lot of reading online and I have very finite notes on the subject and want to understand it a little better so I don't butcher it. So Magnocells are responsible for the rapid adaptation of the eye. I don't understand why or how. My notes state that they are responsible for a large receptive field is this why they are rapidly adapting because of the size of the receptive field if they were constantly responding they would require too much room in the cortex to process the visual information? Additionally …
