Hi. In recent days, I have t thought about world's new condition. I wonder, are some old continents renewable ? forests, atmosphere, icebergs or daily lifes pollute the air incincere . Daily life became cruel to wild and has become unhappy. What do you think ? Do some things change? will countries turn to some things except money, factory, unnecessary and exhausted technology ? will countries turn their faces into the wild? Edit: Sorry beforehand if some things are wrong ? my first write my first topic on forum . .

I know of upright fossil trunks and some scientific explanations for them, but... The swedish creationist Anders Gärdeborn claims upright fossil trunks have been found, that spans sedimentary strata being deposited over 100,000 years. I'm trying to debunk his claims, but this was hard for me. Do anyone know of fossils like these, and what could be a scientific explanation for that? I've never seen someone explaining fossils spanning such a "long period of time".

I noticed on the Johns Hopkins map of the Covid-19 outbreak a big blob off of the west coast of Africa. Not sure what to make of it, I took a look at Google Maps to see if there is any populated island located south of Accra and west of Gabon just outside the bay of Guinea. But the map shows no land area. However there is a kind of unusual structure apparently not far below water surface in this location. In the first of the below satellite shots it is only a little cross shape. Magnification shows an uncharacteristic looking feature about 2x2 kilometers in size.

The image below comes from the official site of the Royal Observatory of Belgium (history in French only), labelled by me. There is a device (2 parallel wires? tubes?) coming from building A and running through B & C until building D. Has anyone an idea of what instrument it was? Notes: 1. the device does not exist today. The buildings remained. 2. I have no idea of the date of the picture. 3. It is a genuine question, I have no clue. the link to the observatory site :https://www.astro.oma.be/en/

But we (life) are an integral part of the planetary system and we (life) depend on that system; I'm not sure there's a qualitive difference between the two. The ecosystem that is me, may as well be a planet to the life that depends on me; even a virus, that is trying to kill me, needs me to live, or at least provide a suitable enviroment.

Is there anybody here that understands Earth as a life force. Out of 8 billion people I have yet to meet somebody who can describe a planet or anything bigger than a dinosaur as a living being, although I have read of them. Where are they? Is the limit of human intelligence to discover everything which is smaller than us and describe it in biological terms but assume everything which is larger than us exists simply to amuse our own existence as little crawlings of flesh?

I have a round rock that I found out in the desert in Lancaster, California. When I shake it, it soundS like there’s water inside with something else rattling inside. If you could please assist me with finding out what’s making the noise before I break it open, I would really appreciate it.

The Hydrogen powered jet Hi My names Darren Cronin I live in the U.K. l and want to help with climate change. So I want people’s opinion of this idea and if you feel it’s worth looking into please pass this message on. The one problem with a hydrogen powered jet is the fuel (hydrogen) would have to be stored in a large pressurised or cryogenic tank inside the aircraft utilising the space required for passengers where as traditional aircraft store jet fuel in their wings. My proposal is a radical idea that traditionalists might scoff at but hear me out. We have to come up with an alternative to jet fuel, the environmental costs are building! Hydrogen …

Are there any commercially and/or industrially significant (or potentially so in the near future) elements that are rare in local space but abundant on Earth? Water was the first thing that came to mind but apparently it's quite abundant and easy to make from existing elements.

For a column of river sediment I want to measure fine sand / silt interface and perform analog control. So far I could not find a sensor to do this and resorted to density control for the moment. Density control (DT-1/DIC-1) SK-5A may work for recent tank collection? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Attached is a concept to collect sediment with dissolved fertilizer returning to the river and any thoughts on this concept is also appreciated. Hi, I have a question I have been thinkimg about. How much water is "lost" in the chemical reaction of concrete globally per year? And can that amount have an affect on global weather? Drought? Cheers, Sam.

I know this is theoretical, but I am super interested in how the two would affect each other. Any theories would be appreciated.

You have probably heard of a scenario where the government knows that doom is imminent, but keeps it secret from the public to maintain order. Well that is happening right now. Though this doom probably won't show itself for another 30 years. But when it happens, it will happen very quickly. Because human caused global warming will most likely have an exponential effect. Which means that the warmer things get, the faster they will become even hotter. For example, I was reading something about what would happen if there was a lake where there was algae growing and it doubled its numbers every day. In about 20 days, half of the lake would be covered. The very next d…

https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at5+shtml/115127.shtml?cone#contents So at this moment Hurricane Dorian is forecast to make a direct hit on Lake Okeechobee. If the floodwaters extend from the lake to the ocean, they'll essentially be the same body of water. But then I remembered, lakes are connected to rivers, which are connected to the ocean. This got me thinking; where does one body of water end and the next begin? Where does a river end and the ocean begin? Is there some threshold of salinity? If so, does that mean the boundary between a river and the ocean shifts as that threshold shifts? How do we distinguish …

https://www.sciencealert.com/stunning-mirror-pools-and-other-wonders-discovered-on-the-edge-of-deep-sea-vents Stunning 'Mirror Pools' Discovered on The Edge of Boiling Deep Sea Vents MIKE MCRAE 4 APR 2019 It could be a landscape on an alien world. Strange optical effects and dazzling mineral formations bloom on the edge of water so hot it would be steam if not for the pressure of all that deep ocean above it. "The vibrant colour found on the 'living rocks' was striking, and reflects a diversity in biological composition as well as mineral distributions." The ultimate seismic system Patent Idea The patent is the ultimate seismic system that will change the world's seismic design method of construction . We have invented a method and mechanism that joins the roof ( roof ) construction with the ground . This pretension between the roof of the structure and the soil becomes world's first time , and stops deformation generated in the building during the earthquake , so ensure absolute durability. Comparing with present construction , the invention increases the strength of the structure to an earthquake over 300 % and reduces the cost of construction of over 30 % Video Apply placement in all building projects are …

There are occasional threads about the possibility of ancient civilisations that left no trace. Those interested in such things might find the following paper interesting: The Silurian hypothesis: would it be possible todetect an industrial civilization in thegeological record? https://fermatslibrary.com/s/the-silurian-hypothesis-would-it-be-possible-to-detect-an-industrial-civilization-in-the-geological-record I have only skimmed the beginning of the article, but the footnote on the first page is brilliant:

When did it start? This paper makkes it seem logic that the global warming started when we started to cut trees/plants.https://edition.cnn.com/2019/02/01/world/european-colonization-climate-change-trnd/index.html According to this paper: "Scientists generally regard the later part of the 19th century as the point at which human activity started influencing the climate. But the new study brings that date forward to the 1830s."https://www.carbonbrief.org/scientists-clarify-starting-point-for-human-caused-climate-change
