Evidence of Human Common Ancestry

Recommended Posts

The so called scientific evidence is just as bad as reading the bible.

DNA = Blueprint. So.. when you can create DNA from non-biological molecules is when you have actual evidence on evolution and how it actually functions.

You have nothing just like religions have nothing.

the chromosome may match but that won't make human chimp and gorilla equal. how to explain the difference?

Who said this would make humans, chimps and gorillas equal? No one.

What does equal even mean? If you mean identical, that would be wrong, since they are not identical either in appearance, behaviour, or genome. They are, however, very similar - in appearance, behaviour and genome.

The difference is explained by Darwin's concept of Natural Selection and the development of that concept in a century and a half of sound observation.

Genetic differences. Just because we can match sequence from two different species does not mean they are identical.

Do you believe that humans evolved from apes?

Do you believe that humans evolved from apes?

No, humans are apes ... the apes were not left behind.

Here is a paper from a Creation Ministries website that is of interest because it appears to be a scientific critique of research in evolutionary biology.: Human chimp dna similarity re-evaluated

The authors' conclusion is that "The humanchimp common ancestor paradigm is clearly based more on myth and propaganda than fact."

Not so closely related after all.

Hardly a scientific paper, more a religious tract cloaked in scientific trappings. Here's a good debunking: http://freethoughtblogs.com/pharyngula/2012/03/11/a-tiny-bit-of-knowledge-is-a-dangerous-thing/

Are you aware that the ancient Tibetan religion claims that humans are descended from monkeys?

Interesting, but in what way relevant? I strongly suspect there are many claims with "the Ancient Tibetan religion" for which there is no evidence, or contrary evidence.

And they used the rally monkey image from the Angels baseball team - very low ethical standards, there.

This is not real evidence but it's very interesting, and related.

-High-quality genome sequences for some of the great apes have been assembled using state-of-the-art sequencing tools. The assemblies provide an unbiased comparison between humans and their closest evolutionary relatives.
