  1. Fine, I will show. What I am talking about is that some of the divers that rotate in this video seem to be rotating around two axes, specifically, somersaulting and twisting at the same time. To me, anyways. What exactly are they doing when they are appearing to do that?

  2. Do not use your elevator shaft as a drainage pipe. I do not think that we have to discuss that at length. However, making sure that not all the water hits the sewers at once is a major change in thinking. Not too long ago, cities were built with the philosophy of removing rainwater as soon as possible. Drainage canals were made as straight as possible to give the water the quickest way out. And that works really well as long as these canals do not exceed their capacity. The new philosophy is to create intermediate storage for the water. If all rainwater hits the sewers during extreme rain, these are almost certain to flood. So, you have to store it first, and release it into the sewers in the hours/days after the rain. In the Netherlands, a lot of progress is made. Take the "water square" for example: http://www.urbanisten.nl/wp/?portfolio=waterplein-benthemplein A square which is used for recreation (relaxing and skating) most of the time, but which can store thousands of m3 of water if needed. Dutch cities are all replacing asphalted and paved areas for grass, which absorbs more water. Cities are building creeks and other drainage systems, which are deliberately not straight, and not only add to the capacity to remove water, but also stores water while it rains.

  3. It would be surprising to me if the only thing keeping someone from considering wind turbines "viable" is that they don't shut down for that fraction of time during its life when a hurricane is hitting it.

  4. @Phi for All There is alternative design, vertical axis wind turbine. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertical_axis_wind_turbine There should be made experimental offshore field of traditional wind turbines, mixed with vertical wind turbines, and performed experiment how well they will survive/behave in hurricanes/storms. If test will prove they are better in such unfriendly weather environment, they should be used instead of traditional design.

  5. Well thanks for the corrections, all. I suppose it's not enough that they survive when other forms of power generation fail. To be considered viable, apparently they need to be able to operate fully in all weather before folks appreciate them fully. What a shame these limited devices have to "feather" (sounds like a snowflake thing to do) and can't operate at full capacity during a hurricane!

  7. @Phi for All@J.C.MacSwell https://www.energy.gov/eere/articles/wind-turbines-extreme-weather-solutions-hurricane-resiliency "Recent hurricanes Irma and Maria inflicted a lot of damage on infrastructure, including energy infrastructure. Wind turbines, whether they are land-based or offshore, have built-in mechanisms to lock and feather the blades (reducing the surface area that’s pointing into the wind) when wind speeds exceed 55 miles per hour. Basically, the wind turbine is essentially in “survival mode,” waiting for the storm to subside, so it can safely go back to producing energy." https://www.energy.gov/eere/articles/how-do-wind-turbines-survive-severe-storms "Every wind turbine has an anemometer that measures wind speed and a wind vane to keep track of the wind’s direction. See if you can find them toward the end of the scene of this 360° Wind Turbine Tour video. When the anemometer registers wind speeds higher than 55 mph (cut-out speed varies by turbine), it triggers the wind turbine to automatically shut off. "

  11. Any website can be made in C/C++ language.. It would require making custom HTTP server, which will use functions of (BSD) socket library. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berkeley_sockets MSDN WinSock2 library documentation: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/api/_winsock/ However, to make website, you don't need to make entire HTTP server. You can use already existing HTTP server e.g. Apache. It's free. https://httpd.apache.org/ Websites are written in HTML (HyperText Markup Language). It's not true language, unlike its name suggests. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTML If you want to host website and be it worldwide accessible, you should better have static public IP address (rather than dynamic and/or private IP address). However, if you was interested in C/C++ language reference website, you should look at this: https://en.cppreference.com/

  13. It is true that the historical evidence is not strong, but most academic historians agree that Jesus existed. With other words, to explain the way Jesus is mentioned in biblical sources and some other ancient historian's accounts on one side, and the way Christianity has grown in its early beginnings on the other, the best hypothesis is that he really existed. However the surest facts are meager: - he was born in Nazareth - he was an apocalyptic preacher in the Jewish tradition, and met John the Baptist - he had a brother, James - he was crucified under Pilatus That's it. All the rest of the sources is so mashed up with what people wanted to believe, that not more can be concluded historically. There was a pretty long thread in this forum on this starting in 2014. Before I must repeat all points, please have a look there.

  15. How much power does it need? Of course. It is possible to design and manufacture pretty much anything. (As long as it doesn't break the laws of physics.) The important question is: Is it worth designing and manufacturing it. How large is your customer base? How much are they willing to pay? What are the manufacturing costs? Until you can answer questions like this, the question is pretty pointless. (Most of your questions seem pretty pointless, though.)

  16. Trump has no moral compass. He is a narcissistic man with no integrity who lives in the moment. Permanence isn't relevant to him. Trump launched many insults at Kim Jong-un and then began complimenting Kim Jong-un soon as he felt it was beneficial for him to do so. Trump has no enemies or friends. People are all just a means to an end. People who are doing what he wants are good and people who aren't are bad. It is that simple.

  19. Probability of being flooded inside of elevator is smaller than winning on lottery.. Making airholes, just in case of hypothetical flooding, can save somebody from drowning, but can as well kill somebody else, when there is fire in the building (i.e. toxic gases). Hermetic elevator could kill somebody when there will be some kind of failure disallowing opening door etc. i.e. "stuck in elevator overnight".. Simply, it's not possible to predict the all possible cases, and make the all possible "just in case" features (and some of them are mutually exclusive).. Only the most probable cases are worth the effort.

  21. So, Jesus did exist in his spiritual form right from Day 1. 'Human' Jesus began His 'Second Covenant' (Times and a Half), and that's what many think is the start of Christianity. In fact Christianity began with THE Creation, as described in KJ Geneses.

  27. I’d rather not get bogged down in semantics. If you’d rather call it something other than a trend, please go ahead. I’m referring primarily to the increase in frequency and crowd size of openly Nazi events. Youre surely aware of events in the US with the presidential election in 2016 and Support from KKK groups for the current president, marchers in Charlottesville, Philadelphia, across the southern US with the confederate statue debate, and related activity across all of Europe. Whether or not it’s a trend, it’s more common and gatherings far larger today than yesterday and my questions are focused there . X-posted with Koti

  28. [1] Already founded. [2] Ebola is 'a disease of dirt.' This means it is where your cells excrete the filthy virus from them excessively leading to the known symptoms. This can be remedied by cleaning your system, via menthol smokes, peppermint chocolate, and, therefore breath mints too. Breathing this in will convert the mass to gas, and, this will have a rapid effect, as gases travel in the body much faster than food and drink. [3] You must be joking? [4] H.I.V. is a disease that infects the hormones of the body, where the cells are 'hormonally pollinated.' This means they need to be cleaned by observing Viagra will promote the cellular reproduction, and, this will flush the system if used in excessive amounts. Yes, all hormones are stimulated with these drugs. It will at least be better than antiretrovirals, and, try some fragrances too, the stimulating kind? Arousal will lead to excessive cellular reproduction, where the system will be flushed as old cells are replaced, the thing is the virus will infect the new cells in relays, so you need to use some minty stuff too, to poison the hormones. [5] Growth hormones. The pancreas is not dead, it is still there. Reviving it will be possible via eating eggs, lots of them, raw preferred. This will work for many organ failures. The eggs will have some basic growth things stored in them, for the chicken to grow with, use free range ones. [6] Asthma is a breathing disorder. This is treated by mints, and, cured by body building, where you reshape your lungs as you crack open your chest, I think that is the term usually used? [7] Mints. [8] This is where the brain loses charge, as memories are based on electrochemical charges in the brain, circulating and being kept kinetic, yes? This can be cured by making your brain a better conductor, and, that is possible by inhaling enough tiger balm. This will also cure turberculosis, where the lungs will be coated with moisture and phlegm type stuff. This, if it gets to your brain, will insulate it better, if you will.

  29. So where is this evidence? You only think the effects of humans on the ecosystems are well known. There is no evidence of that either. Science is about producing evidence. If you want indoctrination instead of science there is always the public school system. So where is this supposed data? At what latitude and time of the year did they make these observations, and for how long? You know, actual evidence? Making up some BS about how a chimpmunk refuses to cross a man-made road then drawing the conclusion that it MUST be because of the impact of humanity doesn't cut it as far as evidence is concerned. Anecdotes do not qualify as evidence either. Animal behavior can be observed, but to attempt to draw any conclusions based upon those observations is completely invalid. There is absolutely no way any observer can determine what another animal is thinking, why they behave a particular way, or what is influencing their behavior. It is entirely conjuncture and anthropomorphism. To use your example, if you take away the hunters deer become over-populated and are forced to resort to inhabit golf courses and housing developments in order to find food. That is equally as invalid of a conclusion as you assuming they are becoming suddenly very friendly. The reality is that we do not know what is influencing their behavior. Yea, it is called reading the paper. You might try it sometime. Here is the link: http://science.sciencemag.org/content/360/6394/1232

  31. The human body and that of all organisms is where we find that it is merely something that reacts - matter that is less dense than that of metals yet more dense than gases. This is because the semi metals comprise life, and, they will always. True, that some metals are also there inhibiting us, but, these are there for gentle dissolving, where they slowly dissolve in our bodies and get a lot of influence due to their magnetic fields, of course. These fields will give off some form of radiation, warming the body, as, that is what they are there for. ~ This is like a floating pool cleaning device gives off a meagre amount of soap every now and then, but floats near the creepy crawly pipe. This is also like a light giving off, well, light, in the form of electromagnetic radiation fields, of course. The thing is, with the bodies warmth lights the metals only slightly, for a gentle interaction before they are excreted and replenished. So, the body is merely more reactive than that of 'dead mass.' This is because they have a lot of water in them, or, cocoon water. If you were to observe a glass of water, then you will know that the water will not penetrate the glass, so there is no interaction, but, glass within the water will influence the water, as it is more dense, and, has more protons, where they will give off a 'field of reproduction,' where this will lead to the glass within the water making the water more heavier, or, more dense, slowly. True, after enough time the glass will melt into the water! ~ A better example is a water sack in the desert by a cowboy, like a water skin. This will be where the leather, like our bodies, will mingle with the water, and, well, the leather will get cooler or warm the water. This is finding balance, of course! Lots of nerves, lots of cells, lots of reactions!

  32. The basics of chemistry are made easier if we observe that the periodic table is scary when it hit's school kids, no? If we know that, then maybe we could observe that we will need to learn the chemistry song as a school motto, if you do science, and, why not do science? Learning the order will for example tell you how many protons and electrons each element has, besides the orbitals, which I am still working on finding a formula for, and, before that we can observe what molecules are, to get kids interested in what they will be applied to, of course? This will ignite the interest, or, dismissal of the subject early on, as, that is what it is all about! So, bonds are where things bond together, atoms, elements, chemicals. I always call semi metals liquids, so, please bear with me regarding this? The bonds are where the mass of one thing is greater than the mass the mass of something else, where the magnetic pull of one over another, like the moon orbits the earth, are where the protons of the moon resist the pull of the earth, as they are charged with the same type of charge, being made of the same stuff, but, the one is trying to dominate the other, as when you have one set of electrons greater then the protons of another, or, when there is 'imbalance,' then there is as 'friction' and attraction between the two, as, they are dominant and submissive [~ sort of like sex!]. Now, that is "why" they bond. The gluons or little sticks you see between the atoms, are strands of resistance channelling energy between them, and, resisting them occupying the same space. This is because each cell fights to dominate the space it has, seeing it's own quest to survive, and, this is shared by all conscious and unconscious forms of matter, as, they will see more of them as being good for them. They will bond because they will look to 'subjugate' each other, but, resisting each other of the same type. That can be likened in nature, as a go between between zoology and physics, the studies of nature, and, yes, chemistry is also a study of nature, where they will like see other alpha males, okay? Cells are bonds of living tissue, where they come together to 'use each other.' They collect, as do animals, as do particles, to support each other. This is a community thing, okay? This is like a atom being made of a neutron, which is dead mass that pulls things towards it as it is negatively charged, like a little fridge magnet, lulling mass towards it like a "anion," okay? This is why we see them collecting, to make a community the best way they can, and, they will support each other in a mutual relationship, of course.

  34. Trump is the only politician I have ever witnessed that casts permanent condemnations on people. That is the childish way, the Nazi way. It started with Rosie O'Donnell over a decade ago in 2006. She criticized Trump for his treatment of beauty pageant participants, and he responded by calling Rosie a "LOSER" as well at fat, stupid, ugly, etc. That is when I realized that Trump was an idiot that became a billionaire. I was perplexed at how could such an idiotic character become so wealthy? Later I learned that was because his wealth was handed to him by his Dad on a silver platter. He was pampered his entire life with enablers, yes-men, yes-women, and yes-lawyers, who all signed non-disclosure agreements, and agreed with. No matter what he said, their reply was "Yes Donald, whatever you say Donald, great idea Donald." That is why he has such a cartoonish personality disorder. Loser is a permanent condemnation. Whomever is a loser is a lost cause, irredeemable, and should be cast out. He also makes permanent proclamations on the character of people with grammar-school-playground nick names, Crooked Hillary, Comey the "slime ball", Lyin' Ted Cruz, Liddle Marco Rubio, Low-Energy Jeb Bush, etc. Illegal alien gangsters are "animals" which he makes it sound to his supporters like illegal aliens are all animals, especially if they are from "sh*t-hole countries", by ambiguous pronouncements. But when it comes to blacks he attacks their intelligence: Low-IQ Maxine Waters, Don Lemon the dumbest person on TV, those "sons of b*tches" NFL players kneeling, and now Omarosa is a "low life." A low-life is a permanent condition. How can a "low-life" ever be redeemed? All of this is so anti-Christian that I'm baffled at his support from the Evangelicals. Remember, you are supposed to hate the sin, but love the sinner? This tells me Trump is an irredeemable, evil man.

  35. The essential thing to accept is the truth of the Torah (Jewish Old Testament), and the later from Greek New Testament. The best unbiased English translation ever is the KJ (Authorised) version. This has not been influenced and corrupted by today's science agendas. Genesis has been so 'tightly worded' in the KJ, so as not to allow the introduction of 'extra' fake time scales. It very specifically states that Jesus Created by His Word all things in 6 of 24 hour days -no more and no less. Geneses was worded 'tightly' because Jesus knew of the fake 'big bang' and evolution teachings that would come in the 19th and 20th Centuries. These lies persist today, to the detriment of all. The Torah also tells us how all things are 'held together' by Jesus, and how He 'Stretches out the Skies' (Hubble), and this is all revealed in the maths of the universe. Constants like Pi, Hubble's at 70.98047 (Astrogeometry), and the Gravitational Constant and Light speed (C), are all interlinked and related mathematically by exact and precise ratios. With kind regards, David.
