My theory is as we humans grow older in age that some of the things that stimulated us(as made us want to do actions)When we were younger change as an example here we have a child who loves the smell of fress flowers though when he grows up it changes to a single type of plant im getting to the point now so i've also learned that it would be impossible to record the stimultants of every want because you would get very different results such as running makes some people feel good while the other people fell horrid so i believe that stimuli changes as we grow and that everyone reacts differentely to a stimuli. P.S. yes this was written by a 13-year-old.

A "cloud" falls from infinite space. Then, in the crust of the planet, as in the depths of the primitive oceans, could be observed the existence of a viscous element that covered the whole Earth. With this gelatinous mass, protoplasm was born. This matter, amorphous and viscous, with its condensation gave origin to the birth of the nucleus. The earliest inhabitants of Earth are albuminoid cells, amoebae, and all unicellular organisms that have multiplied in the warm waters of the oceans. These beings only reveal a sense: of touch, which gave rise to all others.

The pension must be prohibited the way they are today. The pension model is socialist. The pension insurance is collecting in funds which invested the money in companies and the risk is distributed among all who paid this insurance. The people must not paid pension insurance but the money they receive they must to invest at their own risk.In this way public companies will be motivated to earn more profit. Not having such insurance people will be much interested where to invest their money whether In stocks, bonds or land to became a farmer after years. Now people with this pension system are irresponsible. They are so irresponsible so that they do not want to have even children…

I need some help with the physics of cooking, to be used when people start freaking out over the alleged dangers of microwave ovens. 1. It seems to me that hot food must be radiating into the infrared no matter how it was heated. In the case of microwave heating, a lower frequency is used to stimulate a frequency in the food that is higher than the frequency used to induce it. Correct? 2. A stove burner transmits heat by conduction and an oven does it by convection. But how is the heat generated in the first place? Does an electric oven use electricity to generate infrared in the heating element, whose energy is then transmitted by conduction or convection? Or i…

Hey, does anybody have any information about the physics of skywriting? I just wanted to see if anybody knew anything...I tried doing general google searches, but I mainly get advertisements. Someone told me to look up the physics of how light could be scattered by the smoke to make it seem very white, but I don't know what that would be called. Would it be called refraction or just plain scattering?? And how exactly do solenoid dowels and manifolds work?!?!!

Starting another thread Admiral J asked an interesting question "What is the highest(heat) possible temperature? It's interesting that while the lowest possible temp has a value(absolute zero) even though it has never yet been reached. What about the highest or hottest temp possible. The biggest number I've seen is 100Million degrees C, or are there even higher temps?" this thread got a lot of posts but became involved in personality issues and lost contact with the starting question one way to address questions like this is to think about what is the natural scale of temperature---one that makes the formulas clean and simple. And nowadays there is incr…

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for remembering the people who died while serving in the country's armed forces. Many people visit cemeteries and memorials, particularly to honor those who have died in military service. Many volunteers place an American flag on each grave in national cemeteries. In the second great war, american soldiers sacrificed themselves, even America occupies a deserved position in the world. In other wars, like the Vietnam, they died in vain. What muscle groups are involved in punching. I have tried punching stuff myself mostly a heavy bag and I feel it mostly in the shoulder area. I think the reason behind this is because I learned off of YouTube a technique called the "Shoulder-Snap" which utilizes your shoulder movement mostly which is how you are meant to throw your punches properly. There are four main punching techniques and they are the jab, hook, uppercut and cross. I am wondering what muscle groups are involved when throwing these punches also how can you effectively increase punching power, I read different articles teaching about different weight exercises to boost punching power as well as imp…

@ me; You can tell stories here (and post pictures) about (of) the most ugly and the most fancy labs you ever visitid [or know about]. As a meteorologist I spend most of my time in the back of a truck. The equipment is very old - 286 computers, and some "releatively" new laptops. The heat inside is well over 40 celsius. We call it the Auschwitz Lab, and often make jokes about the Holocaust when we're inside of it. :lame:

I think that there is a good reason for the pyramids to have been found in loose sand in a dessert. loose sand is easy to dig. The easy way to build a pyramid is to dig a huge hole in the sand. Slide the giant stones down the slope, and make the base. Ok so that sounds like a huge hole. You are right. But it is far easier to dig the huge hole, than it is to lift the stones to the top of the pyramid. After the first level of stones have been placed, you fill around them with sand. This allows the second level to slide down the slope, and easily slide on top of the first level. You keep doing this until the top stone is at ground level. There may be a slight upward slope to…

I've done a lot of research on height increase and it's hard to get information that's not from laymen or people who are so advanced they'll just blow you off(cartilage and stem cell researchers). I can prove that it's possible to increase height on every level. Long bones can experience appositional growth(there's been studies done on runners showing increase in periosteal width unless the increase is due to thicker periosteum people being more successful runners) and short, flat, and irregular bones have periosteum covering longitudinal directions such as calcaneus, pelvis, bone of the skull, spine, etc. Therefore it's possible to grow taller that way. The epi…

I want to get some new ideas for concepts that relate to photography. I will start with two of my favorite techniques. My favorite and most important rule is the rule of thirds. If you want to make a picture interesting, then you want it to follow this rule. NEVER place the main subject directly in the center of the frame. If you are shooting portraits, then you will, at best, end up with a pretty mugshot. Imagine a tic-tac-toe that evenly divides your frame. The goal is to try to stay out of the center block. You can organize the viewer's attention by guiding him or her around the frame. This can help you tell a story by managing their attention in sequence. An…

Most people would argue my opinion of science being embedded in modern business practices. Everyone knows that advertising is simply a way to get your product, service, or even facts and opinions across to a specific group of people, and attract their attention to your group or organization. Most people don't realize that there IS a science, and an art behind this. When you see the first few seconds of a commercial you've seen many times before, you can almost hear the lyrics, or see an image of the product being advertised in the back of your head somewhere. When you're doing simple things such as reading a book, or driving to work, you'll start humming the s…

While firstly agreeing that all the sciences are interesting and each beneficial and essential in their own way: all are obviously used to advance mankind, as plain old humans, each of us would have a favourite that he/she sees as most interesting: My vote goes with Astronomy and as an extension Cosmology, Astrophysics........ I am unable to describe it any better then the following quote by the Scottish Astronomer James Furguson “Of all the sciences cultivated by mankind, Astronomy is acknowledged to be, and undoubtedly is, the most sublime, the most interesting, and the most useful. For, by knowledge derived from this science, not only the bulk of the Earth is discove…

The Scientific Method The scientific method requires scientists and all others who claim to thinkrationally to answer knotty questions by means of experiment (or carefulobservation). In order to do this effectively, one must formulate a hypothesis,a statement of the putative principle that engages all the known implications. These implications must be rather direct. Circumstantial consequences are justthat - circumstantial and cannot PROVE a hypothesis. Those better formerimplications must suggest experiments that will verify them or not. It is goodif there are direct elements of principle and subservient implications of thehypothesis. It is better if a complete a…

I would like to start an ongoing discussion with anyone interested in conversing with an open mind (meaning open to the evidence) and respectful tone on the idea of applying the scientific method holistically and systematically, to the social design. Now, many after reading this sentence might think to themselves, "wait a minute, we already live in a society that applies the scientific method". While this is true to a certain extent, I would argue that we really have just begun to use the knowledge and technology we have to make society function better and improve our lives. It seems that our age old institutions, superstitions and traditions have a monopoly (literal…

Hi people of the sciences, after watching this interview with scientist Michael Roll, id like your opinion on the work that is being carried out http://www.scsad.afterlifeinstitute.org/articles/background/scientificproof.html http://www.survivalafterdeath.info/articles/pearson/summary.htm Opening from first video - "Lou Bondi: Explain to me first of all how this idea of survival after death works? Michael Roll: Well, i'm presenting the scientific case for survival after death therefor it's very simple, it's got to be repeatable experiments under laboratory conditions backed up with a mathematical theory. That's all I'm interested in, i don't wan to know …
