Sound is a MUST with this link. Watch him perform to the music being played. It really picks up toward the end..... and he never dropped a ball. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4776181634656145640 Bettina

Fractals are my current topic of interest so I decided to post another thread about then but this time ets see if we can have some fun. Here is how it works, someone posts a link and then we debate what it looks most like. these don't have to be your ow images but can be from the inernet or what ever you like. So I'll start, this looks like 3 DNA strings joining into one. Agree / disagre? Cheers, Ryan Jones

Howdy, my name is Maddi. I’m a middle-ager and I’ve come to re-learn. I just ‘got by’ in school long time ago, and I know it might be a bit late now, for self-paced education, but I want to give it a try. I thought forums would be a good way to go this time. I’m married with 2 kid’s.

A couple of weeks ago I was pretty ill, constant vomiting, diarrhea et.c Lots to do at work, so I went back feeling dreadful...on the way back from work I got a phone call from my Dad, that my Mum had been rushed to hospital and it was very serious (life threatening serious) I then walked into my house to find a letter from the bailiffs...on top of this because I was ill (a week behind on my course), I had to get an assignment in the next day. So I was up until the early hours writing an essay, doing equations what have you, then had to go back to work the next day. In the morning I posted my assignment (I passed...woohoo) got a phone call that my Mum was in the clea…

"Oh, I'll work, knock on wood." at that point i knocked on my bed post but i thought, if the wood has been laminated, does this not qualify for the wood considering there is a barrier between my knock and the wood? its a question we've all thought at one point but im the only one stupid enough to ask it.

OK so the question is pretty straightforward. You could be married forever to a model type person, which would give you explosive sex and perhaps good looking kids, or a nerd mate and although the sex might not be superb, you would be able to have tremendously satisfying intellectual conversations. Of course im generalizing, cause a model could be a nerd, etc. Guess this is an "im bored" poll type thing I am personally tired of good looking boring people. I have only met one girl who was stunningly intelligent and beautiful in equal measures, and she was taken sadly... I personally would now choose a nerd, knowing what I know. And I consider myself a nerd to…

Some crazy Canadian scientists think that sneezing is a good form of exercise, equivalent to 300-some sit-ups. My girlfriend's mother (very big) was offered a shitload of money to take part in an experiment. $750, I think every month, plus $350 for my girlfriend to be part of it (who is, btw, very skinny and definitely does not need to loose any weight). They said that her mom will loose a bunch of weight, just like she would if she started working out, and my girlfriend is supposed to get "toned" muscles -- the equivalent of her working out. But sneezing? It'd be pretty cool if sneezing could be an easy alternative to lifting weights. I don't know, but I guess …

Salutations to that Truth-Principle from which all things originate, into which they dissolve and by which they are sustained Where are we going? -------------------- What is indestructible cannot be destroyed. There is no need to worry about it. What is destructible cannot be saved. There is no point in worrying about it. It’s been hardly 100 years and man has progressed so much technologically. More than 90% of the inventions of man have come in these years. Where have all these taken us? Modern civilization is all set for a toss and is not expected to enter the second quarter of the 21st century, not because they have invented the atom bomb, not beca…

A U.K. company is rolling out a cash-voucher system for the payment of goods and services on the internet for those who do not have, or wish to use, debit and credit cards. It seems to work somewhat similarly to purchasing prepaid phone cards. The company is called UKash. http://www.ukash.com/EN/ It seems to be secure, and you can't run up unexpected debts because you can't spend more than you have already put in. Question:: Is it a good/bad idea, useful/unuseful. http://www.ukash.com/EN/

I wasn't sure where to put this, but with all the smart people we have here I thought someone might be able to send me in the right direction. What I'm looking for is information in broad terms but also about something specific. I have an extensive background in desktop publishing and basic image manipulation, and a Master's degree in Computer Information Systems, so I can probably comprehend most of the technical/mathematical issues, so I'm looking for advanced/academic-level information. Specifically, one of the things I'm wondering is whether or not distortive filters can be applied in reverse in order to attempt to undo damage that was intentionally done …

More than 4 months ago, I had a debate with Bascule on peak oil. I have finally learned that hundreds of scientists for 50 years have develeloped the abiotic oil theory. The fossil fuel theory cannot be proven and peak oil is a scam.
