Speculations
Pseudoscientific or speculatory threads belong here.
The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:
- Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
- Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
- Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.
The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

I consider this entry as a follow-up to a previous thread: http://www.scienceforums.net/topic/85807-the-reality-of-atmosphericnear-space-anomalies/ As was mentioned on that thread what are presented here are observational claims about the existence of non mundane autonomous objects that can be observed consistently in our atmosphere. As I have been unable to have physical contact with any of these objects, they usually move at high altitude, what I can present here are the result of direct observations where the "anomalous" nature of these objects is more "evident". The following footage was recorded 10/17/14 at 5:20 pm EST, as I mentioned in the previous …

Have any of you guys ever asked the question: "How big is the Universe?" Of course you have and so did I, and after groumbling on the problem for a while, it became clear to me that ever since Copernicus, scientists have been looking at some aspects of physics from the wrong point of view. Successfully I might add, but some problems we have had huge difficulties actually understanding, such as, why the speed of light is constant to all observers and why quantum mechanics works the way it does. We just accept it as a given fact. I think the problem is, that scientists have worked on reconciling time and motion of third party objects, and have considered "…

An idea about life in our wonderful, immensely, majestic, and powerful universe. I was pondering human emotions and I com paired them to thunderstorms, and idea hit me. Thunderstorms are much like emotions. There are sad storms ones that cast a light and gloomy rain. Angry storms they cause destruction with tornados, hail, high winds, lightning striking everything. Some are bursting with exuberant lightning storms and static electricity In the air, just like a joyful human bursting with what feels like electric in there veins. We all know now that we are just particles shot out from all over this universe by stars going supernova even when the first star went…

New Math The big problem for mathematics is that infinity is not a number. In the interest of symmetry, perhaps infinity needs a real partner rather than a clone multiplied by negative one (-1), infinity far verses small. Infinitiny; Infinitely small, greater than zero, everywhere, a real omnipresence. Its essential quality: It must be equally as incomprehensible as infinity. Doing away with the numeral '0' does nothing, but zero has to go. Coordinate axes which do not intersect, perpendicular but separated by some planck-length might allow that. For computation it could be said that infinity multiplied by infinite small equals one (1). (Logically okay becaus…

No. You sit on your chair. You are above your chair. The wheel rotates at 1 rpm. The inner circle is 1 meter. The outer circle is 1.01 meters. Therefore you move at 1.01 meters a minute and the chair moves at 1 meter a minute. Now if the chair was in the same circle as me 1 meter circle and didn't occupy the same space as me it would have a different instantaneous velocity.

Reverse engineering always produce "an" answer. Entanglement, quantum ; Two (+/-) copycatted particle(s) engaged in a joint superposition of shared locations might fit the bill. The idea being that that would involve one particle jumping back and forth, or two particles swapping positions every other odd planck-time. Well, it might except for the Aharonov-Bohm effect doesn't fit. [(A-B effect, not about two-slit interference, but shifting it by affecting the particles in a two-slit experiment differently, just because of their charge, and yet without using a field. Something about potentials and phase. "The Fabric of the Cosmos", Brian Greene, A.A.Knopf, 2004.)…

Recently, I have finished a manuscript "Electromagnetic radiation and steady state of hydrogen atom"(see attachment file), which is about the electromanetic phenomena of two moving charged particles in hydrogen atom by means of classical electromagnetics. The present understanding about electromagnetic radiation of moving charged particle according to classical electrodynamics is incorrect, and lead the solution of radiation reaction from it "run away " and conflict with causality. The stability of hydrogen atom should be recognized in terms of classical electromagnetic theory. Electromagnetic radiation is produced by acceleration of the moving charged particle,…

Years ago I learned about panspermia and I was fascinated by the idea. Life might not have started on Earth, but was brought to Earth. After much further study I came to the view that if life didn't start on Earth it had to at least start in our Solar System but where? It dawned on me that a possible place for life to start was on the planet Mercury during the late Proto-sun period. NASA has said it is going to plan a mission to check out the frozen water filled craters on the Mercurian poles. I have a hunch they will discover masses of organic material there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auT6xF3wSys NASA Announces Water Ice and Organics on MercuryNow eve…

Hello I am TJ McCaustland, now I obviously do not hold a PHD in Quantum physics, but I would like to propose a new theory that I have. This theory is that atoms when they enter the singularity of a black hole are given a technically infinite velocity due to the nearly infinte density and nearly gravity of a black hole, and all energy (Except kinetic of course) is removed from the atoms, which causes everything except the binding atomic energy (which is tiny) to be lost. Therefore allowing these particles to take on an amplified form of a tachyon effect, all except losing the kinetic energy over time because of the atomic binding energy. Now the interesting thing is you wo…

“THREE ELECTRIC CHARGES” PARTICLE. (speculation ---- from Lay-man) Even thought I am sure that nobody will share my idea, which is totally in contradiction with everyday physic, I can’t help myself without give out what torments me at night. Have somebody asked himself why electron particle is associated with Compton wave? The same I can say about the proton? And what is a Compton wave, the kind that stands in a limited volume of space? Here is my thought: Exist a series of equations about energies of “particle of matter”: Ex = (e^2 / ( 4 * pi * ε0 * Rx) = mx * C^2 = h * ( C / (2 * pi / α) Rx) = h * fx ….’ Which are numeri…

sunshaker, on 26 Sept 2014 - 12:57 PM, said: I have a thought that it is the "space" around the star where a black hole forms, After a supernova i believe the space is stretched to breaking point, depending on size of star, If the Star is large enough and the gravity well deep enough, The resulting explosion will rip the fabric of space within the gravity well. Something like simple picture below. It is only a thought, Why I have put it into speculation.

This hypothesis eliminates the need for Dark Energy to explain the accelerated expansion of the universe. If we assume the model is correct we can calculate the expansion of our viewable portion of the universe using established and proven standard equations. Observations have been made that supports the diagram within the following link or see attachment. http://www.docdroid.net/hjmx/metropolis-pal-9-12-14.pdf.html Metropolis Pal 9-12-14.pdf

Plank Law Inverse square LAW your eyes adjusted to the emr frequency by evolution, you see through transparent emr, The sun only transmits BB radiation, that follows the inverse square law , angle and absorbing showing you the visual spectrum. Change of energy, also creating a different viscosity to the constant viscosity of emr. Hence radio waves, spectrum colors, etc , all wavelengths man made effect the constant.

This topic have been taboo in academic circles, and always have been surrounded by lots of misconceptions and myths, until recently. But now we have the tools to observe systematically anomalies available to almost anyone. With this post I am trying to report what I had found in the last two years after systematically observing them. Anomalies usually are autonomous plasma-like/amorphous objects that can be observed almost in any clear day in daylight at any location in our planet. They usually move at high altitude, since they are small and usually bright they are masked by the sky scattering of visible light like the stars are in daylight. But we know that the sky …

Background: in the late 1880's michael faraday was researching electromagnetics. during a demonstration a piece of metal was thrown across the room when he turned on his device. not knowing what to make of this the term 'electric wind' was attached to the action. in the same time frame nikola tesla was also working with electromagnetics, and built his famous coil, and gave us the induction motor. he also had something he called free energy. in the mid 1950 thomas townsend brown was researching gravity and magnetic pole reversal. he built several small discs that he could make hover through the use of some type of electromagnetics. i have seen a video of these discs and…

Hi everybody, Its me again, with a subject related to the one on mass entitled "Look ma, no maths". It is related by means of the principle of mass that the small steps account for. If mass is due to resistance to the change in frequency of the steps that induces the inertial constant motion of the atoms, then this principle might have something to do with our own psychological resistance to change because it induces our constant automatisms too. We have the bad habbit to disqualify our own resistance, because we rely on the resistance of orthers to detect our own one, and because we accuse them to resist without noticing that they need our resistance to do that,…

Hello everyone, For the past few months I have been working on a script for a YouTube channel I am currently working on and writing scripts for. Every day I learn new things that I apply to this formula, and it is something that I feel that a lot of people might find interesting, even if they understand nothing about it. That is beyond the point, the point is the formula. Now, keep in mind that I am a High School student, an in no way commit this to being fact, or in any way/shape/form correct. I am not an astrophysicist or have a degree in theoretical physics. With that said, my formula (And explanation as of this time) is as followed- READ FIRST- UP…

Velocity, wavelength, temperature define a particle's commonality or uniqueness. I see this as something fully explained in something I found called "The Resonance Principle. link removed The scientist worked with a very creative artist and made a Five Part Animated Musical Video Book that expresses a very logical principle. After seeing it, I think you'll understand that every particle can be coalesced into an atomic structure for the sake of creating a usable material. If the particle moves at just the right speed, the movie shows how a single particle by its speed, temperature and wavelength can be unique, a photon, quark, graviton, neutron (speciallly unique and…

I theorize that we interact with everything, even the simplest natures, but we do not recognize these natures for themselves; rather we progress from their actions, or their substance, which had a hand in the progression which led to the current day, with the current matter, energies and universe. Thus any simple mechanic of a human, can be simplified to the cause of another nature; maybe imagining abstract concepts, combining two things together in an image to represent something else (different to the words we use which restrict everything to singles), is related to something very simple in nature, such as energy, or energy and matter. It's more a query than a theory, I…

Before I start, I should note that the theory I used to produce the responses from the program that I am about to show was conceived without outside influence by myself at the age of 17. After 9 years of speculation and contemplation, it has come together to produce results that are mind blowing and, what I think personally, revolutionary. I finally got the chance to work on the program that I've been thinking about for so long, and finally it's coming into fruition. A lot of people have complained over the years of how my methods have literally produced no results, but still, people had faith. It's interesting. People simply knew that the ideas that I was postulating…

I hear scientist are researching technology to upload minds up to computer just like uploading music to your PC from you iPod. If they succeed, could it happen ? Say if you just upload two people's minds up to a computer, than download them back to the other person's brain.
