Even though I have not met any of you guys in RL I dreamt yesterday that I was hanging out with a few members from the forum. Really strange dream. You guys looked like rockers but dressed business casual and the setting was an office space. I don't know why I'm sharing this haha

Ugh sizing smart bulbs is tough. Have to send back everything and try again.

Turn up - arrive at a conference.
Turn out - end up with a certain result.
Right? Check nr 2 here: https://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/turn+out
So it turns out that my command of idioms in the English language is not so great. Or is that dictionary stating some unused dead form of the „turn out” phrase and it might turn out that I’m not in the wrong here? Does anybody use „I didn’t rurn out at that function on Sunday”?

On my recent thread on conspiracies, it was posted in the politics section, and it was about politics. As I said in the intro, SOME conspiracies are true, eg, Bay of Pigs, Watergate, plots to kill Castro, etc. All accepted history, fully documented and undisputed. A full list would be huge.
So why is this SUBJECT treated as rubbish, when some of it is verified history? Some are rubbish, some are not.
Today we have a journalist murdered in the Saudi Embassy being discussed on the news. Is it rubbish because it implies a conspiracy?

I was trying to be good and save money this year and I just got a big fine for 1 day delay in paying the car insurance. The two are not related but damn. Life has a way of kicking you when you're up... or down for that matter.

I touched the vote widget on your reply post to me - more than once, just messing about with it to see what happened. Count the final tally of that as an upvote, for helping out.

My cousin Jeff Stewart died this morning. Jeff was more than a cousin, he was my brother in so many ways, the way only a real brother can be. One of the few people I have ever known who was basically a good person no matter what situation he found himself in. It's difficult to wrap my head around the fact a world can exist without Jeff in it.

Strange, is it not possible to privately message you?

Tonight i was pretty much run out of an "ancient aliens" community on youtube for suggesting that maybe evidence should be pursued instead of assumed. Kicked my ass! The Science forum is a much nicer place to discuss anything...

Passed my exams with quite disappointing results. Ah well. Used to it. I'll do an extra effort for the last exam period in January before my 1.5 years of internships.

A copper tried to arrest me by jumping on me and I quickly rolled out the way...onto the bedroom floor... ouch! I thought your body was supposed to be paralysed when you are sleep?

DrP. Mistermack's comment has just made me recall another sensation that may be linked: the feeling of suddenly falling through the bed and it makes you stiffen up your body, clenching your fists, like you are reaching out to grab something. That's a response to 'falling out of your tree' when sleeping.
Yes, your thought is plausible; having an over-ride.
