    Why is this forum so incredibly unpopular? While i cannot see statistics for guests, active registered members at any one time is at a level i would expect for a forum about albino cats.

    Big toenail got grown in and infected, base of the nail came loose. Gave it a hard yank, but the nail was still firmly attached from about halfway up to the distal end. Totally ripped off. I've never seen a toe bleed so much before. One of my worst mistakes ever. I don't think I've ever felt such excruciating pain before.

      Given that it's infected at the base anyway, I think it would be advisable.

      Go and see a doctor. Take your own advice that you have uttered several times here in the past .  :) 

      Coindentally Koti, I learned recently that table sugar is the  same and doesn't sting.

      Yep. I use a hearing aid, which allows me to hear some and together with  lip-reading I get by ok.

      Moon. I was thinking your jaw op was quite extensive and may have interfered with your eustachian tubes which keep the pressure equalised in your ears. Just a quick Google here:

      "Symptoms of Eustachian tube dysfunction
      If you have Eustachian tube dysfunction:

      Your ears may feel plugged or full.
      Sounds may seem muffled.
      You may feel a popping or clicking sensation (children may say their ear “tickles”).
      You may have pain in one or both ears.
      You may hear ringing in your ears (called tinnitus).
      You may sometimes have trouble keeping your balance."

      Worth discussing with your doctor, if only to eliminate it.  As you know I'm deaf and if I've got a cold and stuffed up, I tend to lean when I get up sometimes and even have fallen off my bike as well a couple of times.
