Seen any good sculptures made from almonds lately? Note: no other nut-based sculptures may be discussed under threat of the ban-hammer!

Someone discovered that magnet can be used to slow the aging process, and if this is true, everyone will look like 21 in the furture? Can anyone here have a look at the site and tell me if this is possible?

Hey I heard that there is a button on everybody's body. If it is flicked or poked hard enough, it causes the bloodflow to reverse and go into the heart which then makes the heart explode. Is this actually true?

After watching (2) last night i have come across the following innacuracies; 1.Dick points out that the planes are 50 yards away, then says "practically", surely he means literally? 2.People on the british plane are posh, were not ALL posh you know. 3.Some people on the british plane haev a connecting flight arranged, they seem happy and thankful about it, that is an unlikely responce for any nationaliy especially an englishman. 4.The hostess compares the airline to british rail, NO non-suicidle worker would EVER compare their buisness to British Rail. I point these out as it is a sterotypical american look out on british people, and is incorr…

In the U.S. and many developed nations, people who are accused of crimes are viewed as innocent until proven guilty. I contend that while this is good courtroom procedure to assure that the innocent are not wrongly convicted, the general public has no such moral obligation. The power to judge and censure is an important social control. We should use it more often when outrageous behavior shreds the fabric of our communities.

Hi When me and my hubby were dating over the internet, we would often go into pogo and play a couple of rounds of pool. We really liked playing that game, and though now we are together I have tried to play the real thing, I absolutely suck at it (no nice white lines giving me a clue as to direction lol). What I want to know is this, do any of you know of a site that two people sharing a computer can play a game of pool together? Probably doesn't exist, but I though that perhaps if it does you guys would be the ones to know.

Hello science forum kids i am at school and my teacher doesnt have a proper understanding of the term validity in relation to experimental practicals. for example a question like is the method valid cannot be properly answered by the teacher therefore i dont know either. Can someone please tell me wat it actually means, is defined as or entails and the same for reliabiliity. thanks with reliability we only continually talk about repeating the method to see whether we get consistent results.

Here are a few of my favorite science forums: http://www.sciforums.com/ http://www.iidb.org/vbb/ http://www.christianforums.com/ (they have some science sections and I like debating the Christians) http://www.frostcloud.com/ http://www.atheistnetwork.com/ http://www.ilovephilosophy.com/phpbb/ http://www.philosophyforums.com/ There are other forums as well, but they have a censorship policy, so I don't wish to give them any promotion.

In the mid-1980’s, when the Internet was virtually an unknown entity, Armand Rousso started what is widely regarded as the first e-commerce company: The International Stamp Exchange. Did anybody know that?

I know I keep harping on about it quite a bit recently, but what's stopping people from coming on IRC? I've posted a small poll about it, hope you'll all vote. I've always been a big fan of IRC, and I think for a community like this it's a great asset. Hope I'll see you all soon

I find it interesting how much my beliefs and world view have changed since I started this forum. Reading through some of my older posts is like reading a completely different person. I guess it's just easy to see the change because everything is documented. For most people, they don't realize how much they've changed. It was only after reading some old school posts that I realized how different I am. Anyone else have similar experiences here or elsewhere?

A burnt rubber doll was mistaken for a badly injured alien and taken to a hospital in Brazil. It happened after people in Aracruz found a burnt ‘body’ on the ground after seeing a fireball fall from the sky. A police spokesman told Terra Noticias Populares: “Many people were terrified thinking that an alien invasion was taking place. “They thought the doll was a burnt ET and more than 50 people called the station.” I JUST THOUGHT THIS WOULD CHEER UP EVERYONES DAY! LOL!
