  1. When I replied to a Mensa ADVERT, I was given a quiz that I had to pay for to see my results; how ironic is that???
  2. We are, punishment is the acceptable face of revenge. When we consider the acceptable face of free will, we ALL should be punished for something we did; it's only the unlucky one's of US that are subject to an unbalanced version of a suitable retribution, we hope... 😇🙏🤞
  3. Bc some of society has to see their revenge, while the rest of us are just happy too see the back of them...
  4. What's wrong with a pre-op reduction of awareness, before we cut their throat?
  5. Indeed, clearly they're all wrong bc my Gran made the best cuppa...
  6. No, they are all that's relevant to the question, a scientist knows that it's God that's irrelevant; we all know that God didn't actually write things down, even if we believe that he/she/it dictated it to a human. Like in the book of Mormon: Science doesn't teach us how to be happy, it teaches us how to look at these things critically and make up our minds based on what is actually written, not who wrote it...
  7. Sorry, I forgot to include the sarcasm emoji...😣
  8. Nothing gets through OUR wall, esspecially Canadians...
  9. Oh boy, it's really kicking off over here, all the builder's have vowed to creat a wall to protect their elevenses.
  10. No it's not, as noted by @CharonY, it's about the evolution of <insert thing> and how unlikely it is that a cure, will be final...
  11. Does an arbitrary test have a ceiling? Ask the builder,,,
  12. The problem with that is, I only speak your language at a remedial level, therefore my imagination is impossible to describe. I didn't know I was, but that was what I had in mind.
  13. That seems like a technicality.
  14. I have no problem in believing that. But in the twin analog, when twin A reaches the age of twin B, they would have the same number of heart beats, doesn't that mean the tick frequency is the same, but that the ticks of twin B were stretched when compaired to twin A? Edit, or possibly the other way round...
  15. My very badly explained point is, yes they are, the tick frequency remains they same wherever we find ourselves in space and whatever speed we're going there. It's like the latice/weave of the fabric of space. In some respects the only meaningful definition of time is a wristwatch, preferably a digital... “Why are people born? Why do they die? Why do they want to spend so much of the intervening time wearing digital watches?” ― Douglas Adams
  16. Forgive my stupidity, but isn't time the 'tick' that we all experience at the same <insert word>???
  17. The difference between the two is contentment, for instance, someone who knows that death is imminent/inevitable wants to limit the physical pain/sufering in one, in order too limit the pain and suffering in other's; not so much in the group that's just pissed off with today. Ironically, it's Today that seems to be the reasoning...
  18. Just checking, religion seems to be the universal excuse for not listening to reason...
  19. Hmmm, is the word religion really the problem here?
  20. It didn't seem so, we all keep secrets (for whatever reason) and society is just an expanded version of us, therefore gossip is orders of magnitude greater than it is at street level.
  21. See how easy it is too shoot down, what is essentially a very good idea; in answer to the OP, I think it's a shame that paganism isn't rising fast enough, our society steamrollers every idea that could potentially slow growth; I wonder why the Australian mice plague spings to mind?
