  1. LOL, I almost gave that a +1... Just because satire is a thing of the past...
  2. I just negged that, because I can't be bothered to argue... And I love to argue... 🙄
  3. No, it tells us that privilege is real, the subjective part is how the privileged perceive a threat...
  4. Nor me, poor white trash, but I just deserve the same.
  5. If the cops in the US weren't "taught/trained" to be afraid that every single person on the streets is carying a gun this whole situation would be completely different. (FTFY) De-escalation training has been shown to reduce death, in both the police and the public. https://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2014/12/police-gun-shooting-training-ferguson/383681/
  6. Except you kind of are, and you're off topic. If the protestor's are willing to face a foe that has a track record of openly killing people, with a leader who is actively encouraging them to do so. I don't imagine the prosect of a cold, possibly worse, is much of a deterant.
  7. Imagine that, a government trying to improve it's situation while hiding it's failures. Yes, he found the perfect place to hide his failures...
  8. Don't judge them, that's an entry level purse...
  9. The first I'd imagine, no one else would want to admit the shame of their indoor activity...
  10. Indeed, I just wonder when it wasn't. How big was the village???
  11. Thanks for your insight...
  12. Maybe, I just wonder why I needed to take off my helmet to say "that way". Point well missed...
  13. On my way home one day (on my bike), a cop was policing a closed road junction, that I indicated I was turning off of; he not only stopped me doing that, but insisted I took my helmet off; while he investigated where I was going... And I'm a middle-aged white male on a brand new bike in a very friendly rural area of the Cotswolds and he was the first cop I'd spoken too in ten year's... I'm not sure the orchards safe!!!
  14. It's always been my opinion that, anyone who wants to join the police should be stopped from doing so; I kid of course, but there will always be the bad apple's... The difference between the police and a protester is: choice... What makes you think they don't???
  15. How long do think you'd internally 'police' yourself, with someone slapping you in the face? Besides don't judge them, with food in your belly and a safe/dry/warm place to sleep.
  16. Do you doubt the result? A legitimate attempt, by the founding father's, to create a better society. There is no utopia... There is just, better than now... But if you don't want that, the chances are, your now is better than theirs... and good for you... 😉
  17. That usually takes a great leader, they're not exactly thick on the ground ATM. What's happening now, is planting the seeds of one (I hope)...
  18. That's not much of an excuse... I listened to a report on BBC World Service this morning, from a correspondent (of many years experience in reporting on protest's) who described how an initially peaceful protest is more often than not esculated by the action of the police. One has to wonder (given the political leverage gained by a full riot, against the political damage a legitimate "peaceful' protest can inspire) where the orders came from?
  19. That would be ideal, unfortunately the person America chose to drain the swamp, is 'Swamp-thing'.
  20. Then most of the government would be in jail.
  21. Not too mention eddies in the flow.
  22. How do you know you're expelling bad air and importing good air?
  23. But you can't remove the virus from the room...
