  1. Then most of the government would be in jail.
  2. Not too mention eddies in the flow.
  3. How do you know you're expelling bad air and importing good air?
  4. But you can't remove the virus from the room...
  5. I imagine because there usually aren't any. I bet he'd act differently if he had the gifts of "Captain Hindsight".
  6. Indeed, South Korea never did shut down; even my friend escaped with his life...
  7. Of course not, he just thinks he could shoot them...
  8. I look forward to your 2nd post.
  9. Do you imagine our preparedness will protect us from a disease that evolves beyond that? We can't sanitise the world and still live in it...
  10. The definition is not, always, that stark; imagine a system where, not only everyone gets to eat and sleep comfortably, but the those who want more, gets a little more comfort. Would you really throw that back? Because you disagree with the premise? For example, the NHS...
  11. If the history of cinema is anything to go by, don't ignore the scientists in the opening sequence... It's a bitter sweet symphony
  12. As Stringy suggested a few posts ago, we're all on a (steep) learning curve, that we'll understand when we've learnt; in the mean time we have learnt from history, we could use it as a basic guide.
  13. "Stand ye calm and resolute, Like a forest close and mute, With folded arms and looks which are Weapons of unvanquished war. And if then the tyrants dare, Let them ride among you there; Slash, and stab, and maim and hew; What they like, that let them do. With folded arms and steady eyes, And little fear, and less surprise, Look upon them as they slay, Till their rage has died away: Then they will return with shame, To the place from which they came, And the blood thus shed will speak In hot blushes on their cheek; Rise, like lions after slumber In unvanquishable number! Shake your chains to earth like dew Which in sleep had fallen on you: Ye are many—they are few!" Shelley
  14. Cooperation seems to lead to a more successful outcome... It's not, but it does give us a longer run up...
  15. You've heard of the null hypothesis???
  16. You completely miss the point, embarrassingly so; almost Trumpion. I think most people would rather live...
  17. LMAO, are you a creationist? 🙄
  18. And now he doesn't even show up, it's how a petulant 12yo reacts when he calls his teacher "mum".
  19. That argument only works in countries with no food banks. I understand why you don't understand, why "all lives matter"; unfortunately I can't think of a better way to say, everyone deserves to eat, rich and poor, and nobody deserves to be infected.
  20. Interesting??? Sarcasm has no effect...
  21. Indeed (+1), and that level of sarcasm should be applicable to any suggestion that aspires to return to a world where "All Lives Matter" is a contentious issue.
  22. Imagine, if one of his investments; made a glass half full... wouldn't you question his motivation???
