  1. Deepends on when they said cut!!! And when they stopped tolerating 'excessive force'...
  2. I'm not so sure, many animals face the fear that their hard work will be undermined, by those nasty thieving fish/birds/squirrel's etc... If we see them doing it we can exact our revenge (chase them off, and hopefully bite the buggers), otherwise our choices are, keep working and hope for the best, or stop working and stand guard over an inadequate supply.
  3. That's basically what happens now, with regards to police brutality against certain people; mostly because there is absolute tollerance of police brutality. Maybe we try a new approach, put them before the beak and twelve (not angry) people and judge their actions against mitigating factors. What if he lied on his screen-test?
  4. God really buggers up the metaphors, and confuses the parables, when the context is (2,000/4,000 year's) out of date. “God so loved the world that He sent His only son to die for our sins.” Think about it in terms of a metaphor/analogy, Imagine if Jesus' message is that we're all the son of god and we all sin. And that, maybe, his death was a catalyst for change; instead of seeking revenge for every slight, however egregious, we forgive everyone (even ourselves) and try being nice to everyone (even ourselves); we don't need god for that...
  5. Nope, he blamed it's size on a cold receptionist... 😉
  6. Hooverville, Hitler, Black lives matter, etc. demonstrates just how much suffering we're willing to accept, when it's not us suffering it...
  7. Unfortunately, the answer from Trump would ever be so, I just hope he catches the virus he's trying to spread.
  8. It doesn't matter how stupid they are, if what they've been taught is to be kind and considerate to everyone. In which case, the only thing to fear is passive aggression.
  9. I don't see your point, unless you intended to distract attention from mine.
  10. A forth is that their village has taught them to fear and despise, the people they stole and treated as livestock (just in case they took umbridge). It's so strange, how that policy perpetuates the tension; cause they were just doing their job. Imagine how much better things would be, if the policy was: Ok, hands up, my bad I'm sorry, and as a more concrete apology here's a home (with food water and our education) and a paid job, if you want it, to have more (a prettier home, tastier food and hot and cold water). Only then, can we say "all lives matter", with a straight face... 🙄
  11. Indeed they do, I just wonder who is the scape goat, and why???
  12. I imagine you'll be gone soon, so my answer is moot...
  13. What should be clear by now is, money makes very little difference to the value of life.
  14. Don't worry CL it wasn't funny then either. You don't need a gun to be a threat, your argument is a red herring, the threat level is allways the same (potential death), the variable is the approach (and you my friend fall into the trap of more is always better) teaching/training the officers the ways of the force: The dark side, always assuming the worse and by deed and action, actually creating the worse case senario. The good side, always assume they're not trying to kill you even if they don't want to see you. Why not give the latter a go? It has a much better chance of success, even if it does seem counter-intuitive.
  15. Imagine if you're wrong, how terrible...
  16. That is important, and the main focus of my post... That's decided right now, America's future depends on it. Your right, just frustrated. Apologies.
  17. I usually google it.
  18. Is that a pertinent question?
  19. His death will change things in America, that much is inevitable; the only real question is, how long it takes. That's what the powerfull/privileged don't understand, the action's they take to ensure their status remains true, is exactly what hastens the end of that status "look on ye mighty and dispair". It's up to America to change the pattern.
  20. -1 and with that, I give up trying to educate...
  21. I didn't... You must have a big barn... 🙂 Systemic racism is not unique to America, for instance, in the UK the divide is much more insidious (the race is, poor people). I didn't say I don't like them As do I...
  22. Surprisingly 😣, it seems to lack the word cop/policeman/law enforcement officer. 🙄
  23. How many times are you going to contribute to a thread, then after you've been shown to be wrong; try to distance yourself from said thread, by trying to appear aloof with a strawman and/or passive aggressive humour; it's perfectly possible to not be ignorant of a country without having lived there, it's a by-product of education.
  24. There is so many sections of society that are utterly pissed off with the status quo; and so many potential straws to add to the burden, if this one isn't the final straw, there will be another one along any time soon. It really depends on how smart the government is. 🤒
