it is happening to me something surprising.it is years that i sleep to north when two years ago i changed things in room and bed to east.two days later of this change i run my usually ten km twice a week and saw that i had 3 or 4 m less than custom.i started to do tests with these results.from more to less certainty 1 there is more speed sleeping alternatively east to west than in any other position 2 the change must be done on moon cycle 3 moon must always be in the same degrees of 360 4 there are two big axis in astrology, the space, house 1 and 7 representing me and you east west, and time, house 4 the past and 10 future south north.the best moment to change is when mo…

Why is it better for the batter to hit a pitch a little distance down from the end of the bat, rather than close to the end, where the bat speed is clearly greater? It happens in almost every game. The announcer will say the ball didn't go as far because "he hit it off the end of the bat". How would one calculate where the sweet spot is?

I am builing a coilgun, and was looking into getting more powerful capacitors. i am using a normal photoflash charger, and 10 parallel wired flach capacitors. The capacitors i was looking into getting, are from radioshack, 1000uf 35v or 50v. Would my flash charger still work with these capacitors, or would i need to get a new charger? also if i get ten of these and wire them together, it would still have 10000uf and 350v right? that could come to 1250J energy stored.

Is it possible to create a spark by the following method:- Lets have a pellet of charcoal. This Charcoal is passed isolated and is ionized using an ionizer. If this ionized pellet is sent to a control volume where the walls of that boundary are ionized in opposite polarity. Will a spark be produced?? And is all of this assumption possible??

Hello, I realise this sounds a little dubious as a request. I posted about making fire with the mid winter sun and it isn't enough to get the fire going (it is often cloudy for most of the day here) so I am trying electric light. I thought it would be quite good if I'm after the IR end of the spectrum for heat. How can I estimate which type of bulb to use and the number of watts. they all feel quite weak at the moment and i'm not having much luck. (I thought this might be a safety feature to prevent house fires) Many thanks for you help.

Hello! I am trying to start fire from the sun using a lens (from ice, water in a plastic bag and glasses) in Norway. I haven't had success. The midwinter sun is much lower here as you can imagine. I am interested to know if the 'weaker' mid winter sun is less likely to begin a fire? and if there are physical ways around this. can I simply leave the tinder in the focus point for longer, or will it simply not get hot enough? Many thanks.

Quick question, Am I right in thinking that if both the probes of a voltmeter were immersed in one beaker of salt solution, the voltmeter would show small fluctuating readings of potential due to the movement of the ions in the solution? Or does it not work like that?

What is an effective way to clean Laboratory glassware? I have tried dish soap, and I still get water-spots. I actually did try Toothpaste, and that kind of worked for the water spot issue, but I don't know if that effectively cleans the glass. Thanks!

hi all i have an idea to minimize cost and save to electricity by using motor and generator to electricity generation example i m using national grid to two- 10 hp motors to my mill daily 8 hours from total electric consumption for a day 119.312 kWh if i use national grid to 5 hp motor and connect it to a 80 kva generator and use to generate electricity to power my 2 motors so i'm using only 29.828 kWh per day from national grid is it possible ? `

1.LOOK AT THE YELLOW DOT FOR 10sec. 2.THEN LOOK AT THE BLANK AREA I was amazed by this pic but most importantly by the final result. How by focusing for ten seconds on the yellow dot(which I call the center of gravity of the image), and then turning one's sight to the white/blank area, the image is reproduced in its actual/positive form. Does it have to do with the photographic ability of the human brain via the visual senses? does it imply that that the human brain has the ability of processing digital image data from negative(AS IN BLACK/WHITE) to positive (as in COLORED)? I can only make guesses but can't surely explain the implication of this wonderful reali…

It is my understanding warm water moving through the Bering Striat is melting glaciers, and this threatens the habitat and lives of the animals that depend on the cold. So I ask, could we dam the Bering Striat or otherwise control the flow of water, to keep the warm water out? I have heard of discussion about connecting Russia with Alaska, and I think this is a great idea for many reasons? How about a dam that is also a highway?

okay, so i want to build some sort of mechanism which is able to be activated by an object to start a stop watch and be stopped by the same object to measure the time it takes to travel a chosen distance. (i want to be able to calculate the force of for example a bb or dart). i thought about taking a simple stopwatch and controlling the start/stop button with an electrical current (since all the button does is close a circuit) so i could make a switch (for example some aluminium foil) which when i shoot a bb gun for example at it flips the aluminium foil to connect two wires which are connected to a power source and the stop watch, closing the circuit and starting the w…
