Hello Friends How are you doing? I manufacture Playing Cards On both Paper and Plastic I need help as I am receiving a lot of complaints regarding durability in my Plastic Playing cards We print on Rigid PVC one side is matt[ smooth side] and other side is grain [ rough side] The complaints i receive is that the ink wears off after 1 day usage to protect the ink we use Water based Coating we do not know much about the science involved but over here The issue i feel is adhesion of the inks with the substrate, If someone here can help me out with information on how to improve my durability It will be of a Huge help Thanks Raahul Singh .

I have two chromatography systems, one is affinity and another is size exclusion. I have sample A, 0.32 ml dissolved in 5 ml of the solvent (0.32 ml sample A + 4.68 ml binding buffer). Then I inject 1 ml of that diluted sample A to the affinity column. When I wash the column with the elution buffer, the eluate (let's name it eluate A) comes out as a small band (0.5 ml). I also collect 5 ml of unbound portion that flows through the column. Then these samples I inject to the size exclusion column. So, what I inject to the SEC column include: 1. Eluate A 0.5 ml 2. I'm using Gamry Potentiometer for taking CV measurements for finding the appropriate voltage values for oxidation/reduction peaks and Echem Analyst for analyzing. CV measurements has performed on liquid electrolyte in order to find if working electrode accept Li ions. My question is about interpreting the results. How can I interpret if potential difference equal or below 1V has no oxidation or reduction peak (or has only one of them) while potential sweep between -2V to 2V bring good results but if I change it to 1 to -3 no reduction peak again. I am analyzing a sample using size exclusion chromatography as the separation technique, and UV-VIS is used as the detector. I have some troubles regarding the calculation of the final fractions that I get from the separation. Will these two experiments give the same absorbance results? Hello! I analise metal chemical shifts, and there is some trend: I > CN > Br > NH3 > NO2 > Cl > H2O, so, the metal signal shielding increase in order showed below... I noticed, the less electronegative and bigger halogen ion as ligand, the chemical shift of metal, like palladium, is more shielded. It is probably caused by backdonation of electrons from ligand towards metal. What about the other ligands? For example, NH3 is "less electronegative" ligand than H2O, so lone pair on nitrogen may donate electrons? bond metal-OH2 is more ionic probably, and electrons are shiftes slightly more to oxygen than metal... What about CN, NO2? What can be the effect…

I have a fundamental understanding of chemistry (electronegativity, covalent and ionic bonds, polarisation, acid / base, functional groups etc) but i dont have much hands on experience. I would like to know if its possible given you had infinite amounts of each chemical in the periodic table to synthesise any other chemical following a set of reactions. Furthermore if it is possible can we permute all the possible isomers, reactions and ultimately the chemical results to such a degree that we can predict its physical properties? When I was doing some work experience, back in the 90's, I was asked to work out the zeta potentials of particles in an industrial slurry.... I'm sure it was just an exercise to keep me busy and out of the way as I could see no practical use of knowing these potentials in the situation they had. I was doing some research on the flame temperature if various fuels and a lot of them had temperatures for in air and also for in an oxygen environment. is it "better" to burn things using liquid oxygen or is it the same as long as you have enough oxygen? a 2/3rds h2 and 1/3rd o2 flame will burn at about 2700 Fahrenheit which isn't hot enough to turn steel into a liquid. would it be possible(or feasible) to have a liquid torch and would it burn hotter than the 2700 degrees for a perfect mixture of the gasses *edit* my spell check plugin is a bit broken and it replaced temperature with tempature if someone could fix that for me that would be awesome!

I recently purchased a one ounce palladium round shape as a coin, knowing that palladium absorbs hydrogen gas and after absorption Palladium do some different action in a glass of cold water. I decided to see if this was true. So I then went and set up electrolysis apparatus where the hydrogen gas would be directed through some tubing right onto the palladium one ounce coin I have. I did this little 'electrolysis' for quite a while to ensure that a good deal of hydrogen gas would get absorbed onto the palladium.
