  1. Are the civilizations same as bacteria?? As you know when bacteria lives first its population increases fast then they spend the food and their population suddenly decreases and they all die. Are we same?? If we are not same as bacterias, we must control our population as fast as we can or humanity is in danger. Even its against capitalism we must do it for humanity. As I cannot tell it well because of my bad english , you must understand it... Think it well....???

http://maps.google.co.uk/ It doesn't seem to have the satellite feature yet, but you can do the mouse drag bit. I just thought I'd mention it since we were talking about it here a couple of weeks ago, and I know we have some UK folks in the forums here. Enjoy! Looks like it'd be great for tourists planning a visit, by the way. I see they have all the Underground and British Rail stations marked. I see the McDonald's is in place at Whitehall, so our plan to destroy your government is proceeding apace.

now that i have your attention blike, i was thinking, this site gets payed money to display advertising rite? and we all use this site and help make this site great, so shouldnt we all get a cut of the profit...? j/k, do u want us all to click on the ads once and a while to generate income for this site, or are u guys getting payed-to-display, rather than on a pay-per-click basis? if its pay per click, im sure most people would click an add, say, once a week to help fund this site if u asked us to (beats donating). just a thought.

I've been a pretty busy in school, work and with the family, haven't had a chance to log in here in quite a while. I'm glad to see lots of familiar people are still active and I hope to once again start spending more time here as this is a great community.

Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, in his late Seventies, and considered rather reactionary in his views, is now Benedict XVI http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=684431 The new pope was born in Germany, and just turned 78. http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=683950 It seems that he has been active in resisting liberal reforms in the church (changes in sexual and reproductive ethics, women priests, and all that) just as his predecessor was. This news article has a good close-up file photo of what the Cardinal looked like giving a speech in the year 2000. It is a good portrait of the man in action, although 5 years out of date. …

  9. Does anyone have a vbulletin license or forums that they would be willing to give me? Perhaps you simply do not use them anymore...I'd like to run one. Thanks I seem to have lost mine, and since someone bought it for me, I cannot retrieve the information until I hear from them or something. I tried using some file recovery methods to finding the old license and password, but I can't seem to remember where I put it, or what file type I put it in (perhaps I zipped it?) I don't know. I am think I may have hidden it so no one could find it or recognize it...so, as it stands I most likely hid it from myself.

I have to take a trip from Europe to USA. Is it true that if you have no medical insurance you cannot be recovered in a hospital ? If you fall on the street with a heart attack that won't bring you to the hospital unless you are insured or pay? I think people who told me this are exaggerating. Exactly how does it work in the US if you need medical/hospital assistance ? Is it true you must pay very large sums of money if you are unfortunate and get sick there ? Also can you get a local US health care insurance for 1 or 2 months upon arriving in the US and at what price ranges ? Thanks for letting me know really how it is!

I have posted this to ask opinion of others.Im finding it difficult to accept that the religious section merits its inclusion in the science forum. Many other science forums have dropped this section why dont we. Its apparent the religious section is only attracting atheist (not very nice comments),which serves no purpose but to cause trouble. If people stuck with the format Ie: im only interested in math so i post in that section. They would be no problem. But many religious members would like to air their views or questions in the relevent thread.Instead of this happening, the same old faces are infiltrating the threads, with the same crap. Faith isnt abou…

Duran brand with fittings of 34/35 both cone and socket. Length slightly above 30cm. Notice the chipped parts circled in red. This chip does not interfere with its use. This extractor is new and never used before straight out of its packet. How much would you pay for it???

Hey everyone. Was just wondering if any of you had read "Gravitation"-Wheeler et al for self or university study. I'm thinking about getting it, so it would be useful if I had other peoples' opinions so as to convince me whether to buy it or not. I'm pretty much skint at the moment and it's an expensive book, so I need to know if it's worth it.

I have just been upgraded with a newer system at work. I went from using Lotus software on Win98, which was a real pain in the bum, to now using MS Word on Win 2000. Now whilst the 2000 edition is pretty similar to the system I use here 98SE I am having difficulties with one thing and need some advice on how to go about changing something. On my previous system and indeed my home one, when I go to print something I have the option to increase the number of copies from 1 to what ever I need, and the printer duely prints my required number of copies. On my newer system at work however, the option to increase the number is still there but no matter how many copies …
