Interesting article on the history of energy researches http://twm.co.nz/energ.html From a site called PubMed, National Library of medicine http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=1353653&dopt=Abstract Articles about energy development technology http://spectrum.diabetesjournals.org/cgi/content/full/14/3/149 http://www.diamondhead.net/sbtm.htm Heat and electricity seem part of the spectrum of qi. It is why hot will go to cold and vice versa, and not something else. Energy expresses itself according to qi balance. http://www.news.harvard.edu/gazette/2002/04.18/09-tummo.html http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/…

I have been wondering about what kind of pet I want to get once I move in with my girlfriend. I am definitely set that I want some form of medium or large type of reptile, but I don't know which one would be best. Here are my options; Bearded dragons are friendly and easy to keep. They are a good option, but I kind of wanted something more interesting. Varanids such as water monitors are said to be aggressive at first, and require large enclosures but are beautiful and make great pets. Snakes such as ball pythons or kingsnakes are beautiful and easy to handle, but I don't really want anything that has to eat live food. Turtles can be interesting, but I have had Red-Eared …

Hi, new here and im looking for information. A while back i learned about a certain social experiment about adding something new to an excisting enviroment and how people will automatically split into groups without thinking about it on their status of that certain object. One example of the experiment was that if you take an object widely used in one area but is only sold far from that area and buy a stack of that object and sell it in the place its used it for a higher price because of convenience. That people would split into groups of people who hate it and say "i can just go to that place and buy it cheaper" others welcome it and another group stay neutra…

The gardening season is about to begin for most Americans (and I imagine most people on SFN). So let's hear your plans! I've already got about 15 potatoes in the ground. I'm also going to have some tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, pepperoncinni (hopefully, but if not then banana) peppers, and sugar snap peas. Maybe a few herbs or anything else that catches my eye or I think of. I also want to get a type of plant called a brugmansia. I think it's pretty neat and would like to try it (if you have one then please let me know!)

Is it possible that the universe is not constantly expanding - maybe it expands and contracts? The reason I question the expansion theory is that if you place the big bang on a timeline, how can you determine how large the universe was before the big bang? If it is constantly expanding, then I think the universe must have infintismaly small to begin with.

Can anyone help settle this family debate - Does a room heat up significantly more if indirect sunlight is allowed in through a window rather than keeping the curtain closed? I think the room will not heat up significantly more. The room would definitely heat up more if direct sunlight was allowed through a window where the curtain is open.

More specifically, in high school. A few people at school discovered my love for science and math, and my consistent attempts at improving my knowledge of our world. In response, they've branded me as a heretic - a traitor to the cause; and anti-revolutionary, destinied to face the social gulliotine. Despite my obvious ignorance compared to a good majority of you guys at SFN, I can't help but feel a hot spit of injustice upon my face everytime my fellow schoolmates edge away from me upon my arrival. Anyone share similar experinces?

http://www.cnn.com/2005/HEALTH/03/16/obesity.eu.ap/index.html BRUSSELS, Belgium (AP) -- At least seven European countries now challenge the United States in size -- at least around the waistline. In a group of nations from Greece to Germany, the proportion of overweight or obese men is higher than in the United States, experts said Tuesday in a major analysis of expanding girth on the European continent. "The time when obesity was thought to be a problem on the other side of the Atlantic has gone by," said Mars Di Bartolomeo, Luxembourg's Minister of Health. -- I don't want to hear any more fat american jokes!

Hi, I was wondering, Blike, if you could add a game called Heli Attack 2 from miniclip .com to the arcade? Also another game called Hostile Skies from the same site is also quite good. Thanks P.S If you have any other game suggestions post them here.

Hi, lolz! I post on this one forum and stuff. And liek, to them, I post a lot, but it's really not a lot to me. And they're always liek: "Brinnie, you have too much time on your hands..." when in reality, I just post really fast... Like 50 posts an hour. And I even do it from work. And so liek, I need a formula to display to them that displays the equation of a postwhore through space and time, or whatever. I hope I came to the right place!!

Does anybody know of any Anthropology message boards on the net? I tried searching through ezboards, google, and forum find. I was able to find a science forum with an Anthropology section but it was filled with crap from posters named "antinigg" and "ed conrad" http://www.groupsrv.com/science/forum-6.html I'd appreciate any help, If I can't find a worthwhile one already in existence, I think I might create my own through ezboards, although waiting for a new message board to gain activity can be quite tiresome. thanks.
