Seen any good sculptures made from almonds lately? Note: no other nut-based sculptures may be discussed under threat of the ban-hammer!

(Pronounced Laugh out loud at England) Recently, the English prince (forgot his name, but that's okay, because I'm an American, and thus don't need to know...anything) was recently sent to military school for bad behavior including wearing a nazi uniform to a party, dating some 19 year old blood seductress, among other things. What is with that kid...? ... Why can't they be more like Bush's daughters...

Post the most interesting/painful things you have had in your eye. the top of my painful list is probably jalapeno juice. just tonight i think i got my most interesting with "bread". others include the standard dirt, dust, small rocks etc. and whatever that black flaky stuff is that forms on your pipes under the sink and falls down when you replace your fittings.

Regarding Jurassic Park III . . . Was anyone else as thoroughly pissed by the concept of a Spinosaur killing a T-rex? Sure, Spino was longer, with a possibility of having longer jaws, but really, it was a lightweight, it's jaws were propotionately much weaker, and most of it's teeth were about an inch long, designed to catch FISH!!!! I know that there were larger, possibly more powerful predatory dinos than Tyrannosaurus rex (Carcharodontosaurus, Giganotosaurus, etc), but Spinosaurus was not one of them. I'm just letting off some steam. Just watched it last night again, and it rekindled some old anger.

http://www.space.com/spacenews/businessmonday_050509.html Basically he needs $400 million, which is less than the cost of one shuttle launch. It'll be a vehicle that can lift four people to earth orbit, go to the ISS or meet up with a moon-bound CEV once that NASA plan gets underway, or do something else. Each launch will cost only $20 million. And he can have it ready for first launch by 2008.

Hi - I'm attempting to do a uni project on the late great Albert Einstein. Now I know an embarisingly (my english is also terrible!) small amount about science and I was hoping for a bit of help. I don't need to go into great detail for this project but I need to know some main events in his life. I've managed to purchase me a biography and have charted some major life events and now I need to know about the major science discoveries he made and if possible a small simple explanation of each one? I'm hoping that someone could help me, I've searched online but can't really find anything of use. Also if anyone happens to know any interesting facts about the…

Good afternoon/evening or morning ladies and gentleman! While procrastinating and searching for stupid websites that "disprove" scientific theories, i stumbled across this forum's discussion on the webpage "The Final Theory.com". (which I have seen before, and can't believe somebody actually thinks that!) So I signed up to this forum, coz it looks like lots of fun debates, knowledge and news is passed here. I'm from the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia, and am currently studying an obscure little course called "Liberal Arts", in which we study society, religion (and its opposites), politics and stories from the ages. I plan to continue on next year and do an A…

I personally got for my mother a card and some flowers. How about you guys? (Of course, as the ignorant American, I'll just go ahead and assume Mother's Day is international and whomsoever does not celebrate it does not love their mother). Oh..and to the mothers that are here...umm...Good job...

I recently recived this in an email. I'm thinkin about going Only at MIT http://web.mit.edu/adorai/timetraveler/ The Time Traveler Convention May 7, 2005, 10:00pm EDT (08 May 2005 02:00:00 UTC) East Campus Courtyard, MIT 42:21:36.025=B0N, 71:05:16.332=B0W (42.360007,-071.087870 in decimal degrees) What is it? Technically, you would only need one time traveler convention. Time travelers from all eras could meet at a specific place at a specific time, and they could make as many repeat visits as they wanted. We are hosting the first and only Time Traveler Convention at MIT in one week, and WE NEED YOUR HELP! Why do you need my hel…

Its my first post on here so I hope I don't get a hard time for such a silly question. We were discussing the moon landings at work today and the usual opinions of conspiracy theories etc came up. One question however left me wondering. Why Have there not been any photographs taken, by independant parties, of the landing sites and the landers that have been left on the surface by the apollo missions ? Is it that earth based telescopes do not have the resolution or that no probes with cameras have been sent ? Like I said Its probably a silly question so I hope I don't get a hard time for posting it. Many thanks Lee

I have to build a project for my physics experiemtn, it will take place over hmm about 2 months or so. One person is building a telescope (trying to) I wanted to build a rocket, but since i've never built one and they are dangerous and this is high school I will probably definately not be allowed. Another thing i thought of is a rocket car or something similar, dunno exactly how to build it, but it would be easy to do research on and easy to talk about the results (time of movement, how far it went, top speed) Any ideas people? Thanks..

I take this time to ask those part of the Sciforums community to identify themselves now that it has apparently gone under. I used to go under apendrapew. In other words, I exchanged one moronic alias for another . I noticed you, Invert Nexus, are posting here, which inspired me to inquire others from sciforums who also may be under alterative aliases.

...that out of 14 threads on the "New Posts" list, only five are related to science? I guess it's more fun to debate religion or ethics than to talk science. And debates typically last longer than a science thread, which just has an answer and quits (most of the time).

I was reading http://www.nytimes.com/2005/04/24/magazine/24TV.html?pagewanted=print&position= and wondered whether the benefits of TV are known well enough. If you had children and deprived them of TV, what sort of behavioral damage would you expect? Would they be more like to become misfits?

Ok, there aren't many things in this world that grabs my attention, but a chance for some free cash isn't something I want to turn down. Its only been around for a couple of weeks now, so yeh, get in quick before they start restricting it. http://netbux.org/?r=109369 Here is the basic gist. You need a paypal account (which is free to get, no cc needed) is the main thing. Sign up for one of those, then go register here. http://www.paypal.com The persoonal acount is the free one. You signup, and you use their homepage (netbux.org) to forward your way to google. All that is different (and what actually is the catch) is that they put ads up the top of the…
