Please check my proof (PDF) of P!=NP for errors. Small error: I should speak about "coherence" of all members of a set rather than of a set. I've found an error myself: It should be log w not w. So the proof is wrong. There were errors in the proof. Here is a corrected (even shorter and more elementary) proof:

I have been learning some things about GPUs lately and I have learnt that the basic difference between a CPU and a GPU is that a GPU has MUCH more cores than a CPU, but those cores are not as flexible as those of a CPU, and all of them work in parallel. So what does Apple mean when they say that their M1 SoC has a "8-core GPU" ? Wouldn't that be too underpowered? Then how does it perform so well? Or is it ( as I am guessing ) that they don't literally mean an octa-core GPU, and mean that a "8-block GPU" or something?

I don't know well how cryptocoins work. It is said they spend so much energy as an entire country. The question is who pays such energy?

I'm pretty sure that since people can now build computers in minecraft, that can run sizeable programs even, that running these programs in the game still constitutes running a program on the hardware running the game. Therefore that host running the game can be hacked in similar principles to how a host can be used to hack the virtual machines it hosts and vice versa. From me, this is a prediction, not an estimation of how it will be pulled off.

I invented a consensus algorithm. My work on this was mostly ideologically motivated and I did alone; more importantly, I don't know anyone in blockchain/cryptocurrency/computer science fields. Obviously nobody is interested in my work, because it's not validated by anyone and I'm nobody myself. But I believe the technology to be groundbreaking both in terms of blockchain industry and in terms of potential social impact it could have. How this work can get proper exposure? Where, to whom, and how should I present it so that someone would notice its existence and understand it? In case someone is curious, here's the actual work: commercial link removed by moderator

So the other day I was working on a program and figured out how I could increase the storage capacity of an integer inside of a variable. The formula is as following New_Space = Old_Space + Value_of_Integer*Base_Being_Used^Position_of_integer Example: Old_Space = 1,000,000 Value_of_Integer = 12 Base_Being_Used = 100 Position_of_integer = 1 New_Space = 1,000,000 + 12*100^1 New_Space = 1,012,000 ** The Above would have 2 integer values with max length of 99 able to be store in a single integer. Notes: - The number of positional values for the Space (Old/New) is equal to the Base being used. So if the base is…

Hi there. I have had a problem for months that is pretty annoying me and unfortunately, I don't get any suitable feedback from Dell. It's annoying because I lose a LOT more battery capacity in energy-saving mode and the laptop has to be recharged every few hours. This was not the case before (because it was in sleep mode). So here is the problem: Since I’ve done a Windows update, the laptop doesn’t “wake up anymore”, when I go into standby mode. The Dell logo appears, but the laptop does not boot. The laptop only starts up normally when I force it to crash and turn it on again. I have already tried a few things without solving the problem such as: Quick start mode was dea…

Hi guys, I am looking to automate the process of filling the same excel and word documents. Here's the deal: as a consultant a part of my job is to fill in the same forms over and over again for different clients. So for each client there needs to be a set of different excel and word files created with their personal info filled in. I would like to create a program that would fill in all different documents with the same input that I type in. for example: It will be much easier to enter the name one time and then have the program insert it where needed instead of me doing it 5 times. The problem is I don't know which language to do it in. I am sure the code that doe…

Hello. Can anyone suggest some free (preferrably open-source) software for digital circuit design? I cannot find ones that are built exactly for this, and have "componentize" features. Also, if I want to build a simple, virtual CPU, is using Minecraft a good option? ( I know its not free, but still just wanted to put this out there... )

From Check my proof of P=NP for errors: Let X be NP. Then by *link removed* (np-complete-5) exists X’ in P such that X’(Z)=Y. But X’ in NP. Therefore applying it again, exists X’’ in P such that X’’(Y)=Z. So X’’ produces the same result as X in polynomial time. So, P=NP. #complexity (Here "generalized NP" is assumed: not yes/no, but arbitrary polynomial-sized data for my NP-complete problem.)

Slapped a 2 GB Raspberry Pi 4B into a passively cooled aluminum case, and, with two old style Nintendo SNES controllers, hooked it up to my big screen TV. Downloaded RetroPi and installed it. Now I' trying to find ROM images for SNES, Nintendo 64 and Game Cube. Not sure of the legality of doing so.

I claim to have proved that my algorithm is NP-complete under the assumption that P=NP. https://math.portonvictor.org/2021/04/08/my-algorithm-that-is-np-complete-in-the-case-if-pnp/ Please, check my proof for errors (3 pages PDF file with the proof itself fitting in 1 page). That's the third revision of my algorithm. The first two were erroneous. This is my first math research work outside of general topology (and some logic/CS stuff far from complexity theory). I did it in about two days. I don't know how to break BitCoin, surely my algorithm is slow. BTW, which prizes to expect?

I have a machine that is working software-based and has a "Fujitsu d3243-s12 gs3" motherboard. Unfortunately, this motherboard is defective and nobody could repair it. I try to find the same motherboard but could not succeed either. The software of the machine is Windows embedded copy and before loading os, the windows copy to check the motherboard and not load the different motherboard even it has better specs. My question is how can skip that checking process and load that embedded windows version to a different Pc? Ps: I try to get the same motherboard from the producer of the machine but they have they can not supply it anymore I have to buy a new version of the…

The biggest lesson that can be read from 70 years of AI research is that general methods that leverage computation are ultimately the most effective, and by a large margin. According to Deepmind's Richard Sutton the bitterness is that injecting human knowledge into an AI systems results only in short term gains and that general statistical methods that leverage computational power perform much better in the the mid to long term. GPT-3 has 175 billion parameters and doesn't seem to be approaching the limit of what a simply bigger model can do. Some speculate GPT-4 will have trillions of parameters. A debate between Yann Lecun and Gary Marcus shows there is a spl…

All credit goes to download this github code. https://github.com/jaungiers/LSTM-Neural-Network-for-Time-Series-Prediction?fbclid=IwAR3XFpiW1TLoh4o1iUXmph8rZT6Hcv6QqZuim3LHFVJCVT_tBAVL7YIU33w I ran it, it is fully working. I installed python 3.5.4 and all the requirements. The only thing you might have problem with is "pip install tensorflow". I ran mine in windows 7 and I do not have to install Cudas and Cudnn. If you are in windows 10 you might need Cuda 8.0 and Cudnn 5.1(never tested). Below is a screenshot of the output for sp500: Below is the sp500.csv data: Question: I want more stock data presented in this format where it go…

I have tried Bjarne Stroustrup (the creator of C++) book which is for absolute beginners but it was a mess. I looked online for reviews of the book and people seemed to share the same opinion about it though some swear that it worked wonders for them. Is C++ a good starting language? I want to possibly be a software developer in the future and from what I read they said that once you learn C++ all languages become super easy to learn and understand. So please recommend me a good book I can buy to get in depth tutorial on the language and programming. Thanks

New Theoretical Process for Manufacturing Qubit-type Quantum Memory Quantum Memory of the Proton Electron The idea is to have an isolated proton without an electron, and to ionize an electron entangled with the proton. The conservation of the quantum number remains. The magnetic quantum number mℓseems to be the best candidate. After having defined a value of the quantum number to a pair of entangled electrons, the idea is that of ionizing one of the two electrons to an isolated proton. After acquisition of the electron by the proton, the value ofthe quantum number is kept by the proton for a lifetime limited to the protium atom, the most common isotope of hydrog…

Description: I wrote this AI after I left my previous company in Pou Chen. I did a little bit of web scraping with words frequency testing in the company so I came up with this AI after I left the company. Below are the videos and the Python scripts are included in the video as well as a link to Crunchyroll explaining its content posted by me. You can: Run the scripts and test them out for me to see what I can improve on. Yes the scripts are crude with no comments but I took 6 months(non continuous) working on them. So before you say it does not make sense or not working, sort of take some time to get used to the scripts and I will try and answer the questi…

How can I get started to learn more about designing a computer? I have basic knowledge of components like Registers, Adders, Latches, and I can design a simple Von Neuman Architecture computer that can perform basic operations. How do I evolve past that? I have a book called "Digital Logic and Computer Organisation" to study more about the topic. I have also watched Ben Eater videos about building a simple 8-bit computer from scratch. Can anyone recommend any further material? Some website or forum dedicated specifically to this? Any free software tools to design logic circuits? Would be really helpful.
