  1. Hi I'm 15, 5"9 and am about 159 pounds. I wanted to know how i can get taller naturally to at least 6 foot so I visited some websites. Few of the sites I visited are: http://www.heightmax.com http://www.heightboosting.com http://www.growtaller.net http://www.tobetaller.com All of these sites seem fake and dangerous but I'm not sure. Have any of you used these or have betteer suggestions to grow taller?

  2. I paid attention to 2 cases. 1. The main problem of diabetes mellitus is that the tissues do not absorb glucose, however, therapy is reduced to lowering blood sugar 2. Hypertension is a symptom of some kind of problem or genetically predetermined, depending on the characteristics of the organism, however, a general norm has been established and everyone is adjusted to fit it. Why is this approach not practiced, for example, for melanin content or the shape of the skull?

You might think I have a firm opinion, from the title, but I'm pulled both ways. I like watching boxing. (male) But there's no denying the brain damage it causes. Mohammed Ali is the prime example. You do get the odd death, but you get that in other sports, and if that was all there was it would be easier to be against a ban. But the brain damage happens to every boxer. You can't box and not take head shots. Many boxers show no sign of damage, but they definitely do suffer it, some more than others. I'm quite concerned about Saturday's World Heavyweight Championship bout between Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz. I've followed Joshua's career since before he b…

  5. I've noticed that if hypothetically I've smoked marijuana within one or two weeks of drinking I don't get hangovers. And I'm the stereotypical skinny guy who usually gets really bad hangovers. If you look at some of the things marijuana treats verses hangover symptoms it would make a lot of sense. Hangover symptoms: Dehydration (fixed with some water lol) Headache* Bodyache* Nausea* Loss of appetite* Fatigue Irritability (probably caused because of the other symptoms more than anything else) All the *'s are treated by marijuana. Makes sense to me at least. I cant find any studies which prove this though. A word of warning; from what I've heard yo…

  6. I've been trying to dispel the myth (in my family) that being out in the cold causes you to catch a cold. Naturally I try the simplest approach and say that a cold is caused by a virus, and unless you actually catch a virus while out in the cold weather, the actual cold itself won't make you sick. Likewise, it is believed that standing under a ceiling fan with your head wet can make you sick. Or going outside with your head wet causes pneumonia, etc. As far as I know and have read, none of this is true. The closest I've come to anything suggesting otherwise is that maybe some viruses are more prevalent during the cold months, which makes them easier to catch. But again, i…

  8. I believe my co-renter has recently started poisoning/ drugging some of my food. After eating a few things such as my salad dressing which I didn’t have any reaction to just after buying it, now makes my heart pound my left arm pulse with my heart beat, weird feeling in my stomach, hard to concentrate and ends with pains, ringing and a headache. It starts about 20min. after eating and goes away in about 2 hours. I thought it was all in my head so I tried the salad dressing again, same symptoms. This also happens when I use my mustard.. If I had to speculate what it is, I would say: 1. old co-rente…

What are the chances of there being a human being who can't tell a lie, in any way, no matter how hard they try? If so, would they classify it as genetic or mental disorder? Then there's the situation of what advantages/disadvantages of never being able to lie. If you're trying to protect a friend's privacy (embarrassing habits or interests), not everyone will know right away to simply tell them "I'm not allowed to say.". Or even government secrets for your country from their enemies. Maybe it would allow for easier marriages between 2 people, I know that would be more likely.

  11. Since Tuesday or Wednesday I've had this white spot on the inside of my cheek that looks like a flat blister. It feels like a sore taste bud, just on my cheek. At first I thought it was maybe because I accidentally bit my cheek or chewed on it in my sleep. Friday I decided to actually look at the area and noticed the white mark. Since then it's gotten a little bit bigger. It'll hurt if something rubs up against it look my tooth or my tongue or food but other then that I at all times feel a light sensation on my cheek just like you would with a sore taste bud on your cheek. I figure if it didn't get better by Tuesday that I'd go to emergency care but I just wanted to know …

Hi Does anyone know why I could have circular bruises on theback of my leg under my knee?? It only appeared on one leg and didn't hurt at all. They were perfectly round (two) and dark purple. It might not be anything but it is a bit odd. I looked on a few websites but couldn't really find any answers. I would be very grateful if you could help me, Cheers Nicole

I was reading the post on cracking knuckles and if it causes arthritis or not. I got to thinking about arthritis and remembered that I once knew a fellow that used WD-40 on his arthritic joints. I have also read about doing this also. I got to wondering if anyone has ever tried this and what the results were.

Hey guys. How long do the typical effects of food poisoning last? On Thursday I went to McDonalds for lunch and got some chicken nuggets. About an hour later, I started feeling VERY nauseous and the intensity just progressed at an alarming rate. About 2.5-3 hours after eating the chicken, I began throwing up quite violently and without any way to stop it. My ribcage and chest muscles are now killing me from all that throwing up, and I've felt VERY weak. So weak, in fact, that I've fallen down twice just trying to walk a few feet towards the bathroom. I have NEVER felt this ill before. Only now, about 26 hours after eating the tainted food, have I gotten enough ene…

  20. First, let me say this is my first time at this forum and didn't know where else to turn. Here's our problem in short. We are renting a home that is making us sick and it seems to be coming from the tap water. When we drank the water we'd get stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. So we switched to bottled water and all the symptoms went away. We repeated this process a few times of a period of weeks and months. When I say we, I am referring to our entire family. The water company did a so called "extensive water testing" at the request of us and our landlords. Tests were done from the kitchen sink and outside the house at the meter. All tests fell w…

Muslims world wide observe total fasting (no food or water) between dawn to sunset in the month of Ramadan. They do so not for losing weight or any medical benefit, but as it is ordained in Quran which says. "O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you, as it was prescribed for those before you (i.e. Jews, & Christians) so that you may (learn) self-restraint."( 2:183 ) According to Islamic Laws, children below the age of 12, sick patients, travelers, and women who are menstruating or nursing a baby are exempt from fasting. In addition to staying away from food or water for the whole day, they are asked to stay away from sex, smoking or misconduct during t…

  23. Smoking being a tough habit to get rid of, the smoker must take the abundant Help to quit smoking. He must choose the right method for quitting smoking suitable to him. There are a number of methods to quit smoking. One among them is the nicotine tapering method. Nicotine tapering is also known as nicotine fading method. First, some background: My Grandmother suffered from osteoporosis, among other things which were mostly related to radiation poisoning (she took part in early medical trials involving X-rays). For the last ten years of her life she required nursing home care, and over that period became increasingly bed bound. Due to the osteoporosis, her spine began to crumble until she stood at less than half her original height. It was in a sense fortunate that she had previously had one lung and half of the other removed due to tuberculosis, as this was what essentially "made space" within the chest cavity for this degree of "crumpling" to occur without destroying any organs…
